Second of all, xemnas had to be defeated so that MX could return. that's why xemnas couldn't do it himself.

they had to set sora on his path, so they could use the darkness in his heart to turn him into a vessel. plus, disney wouldn't allow suicide, duh! lmao

Well, that would be a b**** if they summoned their massive loads of unversed, heartless, and nobodies.

Since Xemnas and Ansem have control over both heartless and nobodies i think at least they are under MXs command, however...

 

...It isnt possible that unverseds will return since MX was speaking about that princess of hearts were having fragments of former x-blade inside them, he needs them in order to produce x-blade not Vanitas. I dont think he needs Vanitas anymore. It is possible that Vanitas could return, but i think its unlikely.

But I don't think Nomura would just show Vanitas in 3D, especially in a key scene where him and YMX say hearts within Sora, if he wasn't relevantly important. It's more than likely that he will come back, he is the dark/negative side of Ven. He is part of Ven, and Ven needs to gain control of him and make him return to him. Without him, Ven is totally missing a whole side, even if it is a bad side.
