okay, so theres this part where Xemnas and Xigbar speak with Sora. Xemnas reveals that nobodies can cultivate new hearts. But because he knew that other members of organisation would betray him, he told them that only way to receive heart is to create Kingdom Hearts.

 

This might be way how Roxas could have his own heart, if he already didnt.

I had this same theory. I think it makes a lot of sense, especially since we see that Roxas is still apart of Sora, residing within him. I think that Ven's heart was inside of Roxas (Sora's body) and that's why Roxas looks like Ven, but bc Ven's heart was fractured and still too weak, Roxas grew his own heart. This also makes a lot of sense for Roxas to have two hearts inside of himself, bc when Roxas dual wields I believe he is using Ven's (aka Sora's) and Roxas's own Keyblade, not Xion's. Xion just awakened the ability for Roxas to dual wield. Though, I could be wrong about, the dual wielding part, I strongly believe that Roxas had two hearts confined in himself, his own and Ven's fractured heart.

What I'm confused about is didn't Nomura say in an interview that only a few nobodies had hearts? More importantly, what made Roxas, Axel, Namine, Xion special, particularly Axel? Axel clearly should have been taken over but he wasn't, why could he feel like he had a heart? None of the others ever really reacted that strongly despite their interactions with ROxas. ALso, looking at that link, the only conclusion I could make is that SOra has to have his own keyblade in order for Roxas to truly exist alongside Xion. If there was nothing that could be done for Roxas, Xion and Axel, why were they shown in blank points?

Xion was an imperfect Replica of Sora.

 

A better theory is Xion didn't really have a Keyblade and Roxas had Ven's Heart or part of it. After Xion returned to him, he was able to use Sora's and Ven's keyblade.

 

Sora used his own when he went through Castle Oblivion and Xion was created while he was in CO. Xion didn't know how to wield the Keyblade until about the time when Sora was put into sleep by Namine.

 

That's why Xion could wield a Keyblade because she was created by Sora's memories and the power was leaking out to her.

Yes yes this ..... @ Replika im sure they will find a way to grow roxas a heart .Or possibly he started to grow his own but it wasnt fully formed yet to function with his own separate THIRD keyblade .

This probably isn't story-related, but in KH2FM, when sora fought roxas in the Dive into the Heart, he was able to steal roxas' keyblades, so he technically was able to use 3 keyblades...

Actually, Nomura has stated that Roxas and Sora were sharing the same Keyblade at the same time. Meaning that both Sora and Roxas were using Ven/Sora's Keyblade.

They weren't as corrupted as the other members of the organization. Plus Axel is connected to Sora through Roxas and Xion is connected to him through memories. That link probably kept them i the light giving off the feeling of having a heart, plus I thought Xemnas said that they technically manifested hearts at one point. They have now seeing how they've become separate beings from Xehanort. They have Sora's keyblade due to their connections with him. Especially Xion seeing how she is a mirrored image of memories. But I'm sure Roxas has the same for specific plot reasons to brighten up the concept of Sora having a nobody.
