Below is an image during Ventus' possible last moments (theory).

 

However, if you look closely, someone is sitting next to Ven on the tree trunk, at first I got too excited, I thought it was Vanitas without his helmet, however, through PhotoShop enhancement it's clear that this person is the one and only King Mickey.

 

 

So I brightened the image a little more, and circled what I see, hope this clears some things up!

Also, as malicious_shadow said, Mickey is the only character that would blend into the night so well, and that peachy skin color, it must be Mickey

 

 

I think you're right DoctorRamen, but there's one thing that troubles me and thats the skin coloured arm/object next to mickey...it can't possibly be mickey's?

Do you find this significant at all?

 

Why King Mickey?

 

Why on Destiny Island?

 

How does this relate to Sora?

 

There are no right answers, I just want to start an open discussion.

 

Also, I find it amusing in the contrast between this frame and the end of the trailer, Ventus lying on this tree trunk at night, and Sora sitting there at the end of the trailer at sunset? Is that significant at all?

 

EDIT: I looked back in the BBS forum and noticed someone discovered a shadow leaning against the tree, Vanitas perhaps?

Nice discovery. I saw something next to "Ven" but I didn't think it was important. And it actually does look like Mickey. So I will go with you on this one.

I do not believe it is a person. Maybe a keyblade, like the one he left behind and Aqua found it. Could stand as a symbol. I am sorry but I do not believe it is Mickey at all.

I've beaten the game on Ven's Story and I've found out what exactly that shape is.

 

SPOILERS!!!!!!

 

The shape actually IS a keyblade. Ven is holding it up, pointed towards the sky. He's not conscious though, since he is in a sort of trance.

Also, although we all thought that this happens at the end of the game, this scene happens at the beginning/before the game.

The shadow by the tree is indeed Master Xehanort in an organization coat.

Well actually its baby ventus brought there by exhanorth, but then suddenly Ven summons his keyblade, so it was kind of a surprise, and king mickey wasnt sitting there, nobody was. It was ven shoothing a ray of light out of his keyblade. i know that cause i have the game myself
