Toonami, one of Cartoon Network's most well known (and only decent) block. It's finally returned after Naruto the "new Dragon Ball Z" killed it. Yes it killed it. All the way to the very end. They put up so much money just for Naruto. And they ended up showing 2 episodes of it per Saturday with Ben 10. This is what killed Toonami... but that's a different story. Is the new Toonami a fail? It's currently showing 6 animes' for 3 hours starting at 12:00 A.M. on AdultSwim every Saturday. Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Deadman Wonderland and I forgot the others. They don't have and Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Naruto, or Fairy Tail. Not saying it has to but it would be smart for them to get these anime considering their popularity and the fact that it would put them back in business. They don't have much money or faith for the new Toonami block and neither do I. Bleach, Deadman Wonderland, and Cowboy Bebop are the only good animes' they have up there and the only one that I think will attract viewers are bleach. So the reason they may not have any DBZ, OP, FT, or Naruto is A. Their competitors (Disney, Nick, 4Kids) already are broadcasting the shows or B. They don't have enough money to show these animes'. Likely choice A as DBZ Kai is on two channels. What do you think about the new Toonami? Is it a fail or not?

I only watched it for Tom and Ghost in the Shell.

I think it seems pretty good so far. They actually said that they don't have much money, but if they get enough viewers, they'll get more funding and try to get shows such as One Piece, Fairy Tail, and some other ones(that I don't remember.) Casshern Sins and Deadman Wonderland seem interesting. I already watch Bleach and LOVE Naruto, which I doubt killed it, considering that Toonami lasted another 3 years after they started playing it. Plus, Naruto got a 3 day weekend marathon just for its 100 episode playing. They cared, because it got viewers. But, anyway, I think that it's not a bad start and if it gets more viewers it has all the potential to get A LOT better.

I actually wouldn't mind if they added say like Naruto Shippuden into the block the animes they show now are okay but not something I'd stay up to watch, but I'm still glad toonami's back.

I would love if they added Naruto Shippuden! That way Disney doesn't have to censor the crap out of it. lol Of course, they haven't even played it in a while, either.

i enjoy Toonami last Saturday night. I only saw bleach, deadman wonderland, and Casshern Sins. I hope to be able to watch the whole thing next time . Also like Ertyx already said Toonami said they don't have the funding for the bigger known animes. Just pray that more people will watch and get it more funding. Maybe enough to have it start sooner

Fairy Tail's artwork is the same as One Piece... Kind of childish. It should still be up there, imo.

I would love to have Fairy Tail, but the problem is that they don't have the budget to afford Fairy Tail. They've already stated this. But, if the ratings are high enough, they will get more funding and then they said they will look into Fairy Tail, One Piece, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, Gundam Wing, and Inuyasha: The Final Act. These are only the ones they listed and they said that there were many more that they have in mind, if funding allows.

They basically just took the normal Adult Swim Saturday Lineup and called it Toonami.

Whoa! They're thinking of getting Panty and Stocking?! I hope they succeed and I actually liked Casshern: Sins (even thought i was bit confused on what was going on) and Deadman Wonderland. I'm really curious on how Deadman Wonderland turns out.

It's actually pretty much done now. Last Saturday's episode Ichigo defeated Muramasa and he faded away. So I think they'll be starting the next one soon, where we're finally back to the actual story.

Yeah I did. Shit willl be tight on Toonami. It's just too late...
