Posted

I just want to know some movies that you guys know where the sequel ruins the entire series. I didnt like the sequel to karate kid but i liked the 3rd. I also feel this way about Aladdin. There are many others i cant think of right now but list yours

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas, Back to the Future, Lilo and Stitch. TwT

Harry Potter 1 (Until #7)

Jurassic Park, Pocahontas, and some Shrek sequels would probably qualify (namely the most recent edition).

Shrek the 3rd was pretty bad... Aladdin 2 was bad but 3 was fine. Little Mermaid 2 was pretty enjoyable but the plot was absolutely dead for half of that movie

Any Disney animated sequel and Titanic 2.

Madagascar 2. and Madagascar 3 looks stupid

Every Disney movie that I can think of.

Shrek, Managascar, and Karate Kid.

I would say tron. Storyline ehh, but it was made up in graphics. Original back in the day, epic storyline, but now epically cheesy graphics. But really bad sequels, little mermaid, and any Disney movie.

I loved Tron Legacy.

I would have to go with Madgascar and Ice Age.

Harry Potter 1 (Until #7)

After the original, Shrek sucked hard.

And basically what everybody said here.

If you read the books, the movies were a bit underwhelming. Okay, 2, 4, and 6 were decent (note that I already said that 7 and 7 pt 2 were good), but 3 (my favorite book) was horrible and 5's storyline was completely butchered!

I have to agree with 5 (it was terrible)

But c'mon, it's Harry Potter we're talking about.

Do the Star Wars prequels count?

Actually I enjoyed both, and I grew up reading Harry Potter. But it's all a matter of opinions really. I will agree that there were quite a bit I wish they hadn't left out, but I enjoyed them.

Disney has a nasty streak of terrible sequels. All of Cinderella for example. This coming from a die hard Disney fan, they need to stop. Some movies just don't need sequels. (I really disliked Pirates of the Caribbean 4.... :/)

I'm not saying I didn't like it but I didn't like it as much as the original tron that came out in the 80s. But I have to admit that the graphics in legacy were better, but storyline was better in the original.
