Hello everyone!

First,Spoiler alert,contains things related to KH3D.

Ok then,i've finished Birth By Sleep a month ago(for the second time),and i remember two things about Terra.

 

1- In Terra mode,there is a world(don't remember now)where he see Ventus and Aqua fighting in the Keyblade Graveyard,in another words,he have a vision of his friends fighting.

 

2- In Terra mode too,Terra meets Riku.When Riku says that someone a long time ago has left the islands,Terra see*spoiler alert* YMX,after,he turns and appear Riku,with 16-17 years.

 

 

Terra have a power to see the future and the past,but he don't know!

 

What do you guys think about this?

I don't think he really has the power to sense the past and future. I think he just has the power of plot convenience: the ability to see what the plot wants him to see.

Nomura has already confirmed this isnt some psychic power, just a premonition of what was to come. We all kind of do that from time to time if you think about it .At least i do anyways lolz.

Yes and Nomura said it just meant the future connection but it wasnt a psychic gift or anything.

Sally from Hallowen Town(i think this is the name) on Kingdom Hearts have A LOT of premonitions too....

She always saying: "I have a bad feeling about this...."

Nomura: Firstly, when he hears the name of the masked boy from Master Xehanort at the mysterious wasteland, and we see an image of Aqua and Ventus defeated, that's a hint of the future. On the Destiny Islands, when he makes Riku his successor, he has a special view of him and catches a glimpse of his future. However, this isn't to say that Terra has the ability to see the future - it was a directive nuance intended to portray the future connection between Terra and Riku.

Ever thought that Terra isn't really seeing it and the premonitions are just for us players?

I say screw what Nomura says, as logically it doesn't make any sense, to me anyway. As a narrative device it works, but you can't have the character see it too and not have some sort of definite reason. I say that his own Darkness just gave him a warning of what was to come, as Darkness isn't inherently evil and as an instinct it could have been helping Terra at that point, or at least was trying to. It's just due to the fact that Xehanort is seducing deeper and deeper into the Darkness that caused Terra's undoing. As for Riku appearing older with a small glimpse of Young Xehanort, I'd just call some Keyblade Inheritance mumbo-jumbo, because while people can have small premonitions about how someone might appear in the future or how somebody else might have appeared long ago, they don't see with exact accuracy what they actually look like, not without some kind of special ability. Again, I get it, it was a narrative device, it's meant to show us that Terra is getting some kind of idea of what's to come and to spell things out for us as an audience a little more clearly, I get that. But in the perspective of the character himself (not as an observer), the simple explanation that he "just did" doesn't work for me, so I feel some need to apply some sort of Darkness/Keyblade instinct BS, even if it isn't "canon". It just puts my mind at ease. And to be fair, we don't know everything about a Keyblade wielder's power or the full extent of the powers of Darkness, so there still could be some room for that kind of speculation.
