Been randomly thinking recently. What if, instead of the current world hopping structure of KH, each game instead had Sora (Or whoever) visiting ONE Disney world, and the entire game focused on just that plot, introducing Xehanort related plot threads directly int the Disney story?

I personally... wouldn't mind that. It'd give us a more complete Disney story, and make the Disney element more relevant.

I dunno, I think it'd be pretty cool, if done right.

That would be ... acceptable. It doesn't sound too bad, and would be perfect for Bbs2, since it would be diffcult to find worlds for Aqua to visit in the Realm of Darkness, and finding a way for her to visit many worlds would be hard. If nomura sees you're idea, he would probably steal it o.O

It might make for a tighter story, but it also seems limited. I mean, there are a lot of Disney worlds out there, and focusing on just one seems, I dunno, kind of like wasted potential. I think part of Kingdom Hearts's appeal is all the different Disney worlds, and different worlds in general. Not to mention that if a player doesn't care much for the particular world, it'd be hard to enjoy the game.

If there were to be a BBSv2, what you said sounds good but I think it'd be possible for Aqua to visit the ruins of some worlds that have been swallowed by the darkness. Aqua saw the castle from Castle of Dreams in the RoD

it would be nice. seems different.

That's where lies the biggest problem. How would Aqua go to ruin to ruin or world by world? In KH there's like a tradition of a gummi ship or a dive or something of the sort. There's no way to do that inside the RoD. Nomura will have to come up with a brilliant new idea of how Aqua's gonna travel inside, because by foot is not an option. Not because it's impossible, because it would mean missing this characteristic of the KH series.

Also, this one world idea, as good as it could be, will probably ruin this KH aspect as well. I doubt someone will change that

A big open world KH could be cool

I'd have to see it to like or dislike it.

I bet you'd like a game where you play as Aqua and wander endlessly in the RoD

Yeah, it would, but it would be hard to get a deep KH story connecting to Xehanort on a Disney World, and it would miss those KH aspects Nomura loves and wouldn't like to change. But on a dofferent line of thinking, a new unique KH world, like Twilight Town or Hollow Bastion, but huge would be AWESOME! I would like to see something like this for sure

The thing is, this game could, potentially be entirely free of Xehanort. It could revolve around Aqua surviving in the RoD, perhaps helping other people? Or it could be more solitary than that.

I would be an interesting departure, to say the least.

Me too, it depends a lot on how they'll make it.

I know I don't want that. I have my doubts about BbS2 because it'll be hard to find it cool. I'd have to see it, so I have to check Nomura got it right, but hopefully not a forever walking in the RoD game, no.

I'm not sure. It sounds like it would be kind of tough to take one Disney story and make an RPG length game out of it. We're talking 35+ hours in one world. In my opinion, it would have to be a pretty interesting and long running Disney story.

Ah no. I was talking about your initial idea for a huge disney world. Bbs2 has a huge potential for story i don't doubt it, but the gameplay is what really worries me. Chaning for place to place, it would be like playing Okami and some Zelda games. Even FF, and Nomura likes this worlds idea, travelling between them

That would be kinda hard since disney movies are only an hour and a half long and making an entire game to parralell the story of one of them? I just dont know.

It's not like the entire game is cutscenes or something.

And adding KH plot points would expand the story.

But there's also gameplay. You could explore an entire Disney movie in detail.

Plus, playing as Riku and Mickey, so we can know what they were doing during their absence.

The World Terminus from EotW in KH1.

It would be different but I prefer having multiple disney worlds in one game. Sure only one would give them time to fully flesh out that world but kh is pretty much about going to all of the different Disney worlds. It could work out if done correctly but I like it better the way it is tbh.
