These teens will be soon taken to Mystia, the land of dreams and fantasy. Though, in the begining, they live in the modern world, unknowing of the coming change.

 

(I'll start here)

 

Jason sighed, looking out from his bedroom window. Unlike most kids his age, he was looking out the fourth story window, of a mansion somewhere in upstate New York. Even with the near limitless luxury, Jason still felt.... empty. He wasn't allowed out side of the Mansion grounds, and was only allowed to communicate with local rich kids. Many Jason detested. Which left him generally anti-social, and more of an introvert than anything else.

 

Jason sighed again, and began to pace around his room, none of the expensive items giving him comfort. Why do I have to be so damn rich? He thought, I'd rather have less of this money. At least then I can go out of my home once in awhile.

 

Jason then sighed once more, combing his hand through his longish spiky black hair. A knock on the door made him turn.

 

"Come in." Jason in reply.

Edoruz walked in. "Hello. Who may you be?"

-Meanwhile-

 

 

Natsu chased after a cat. "Mister Fizzykens it's just one flea dip!" She cried out. Not that that cat cared, nor stopped. In fact the cat seemed to speed up. In reply Natsu sighed. The cat on the other hand seemed to enjoy running around. This slightly ticked off Natsu, but she just kept up chaseing after the cat. The cat just kept on going. Natsu smiled "At least" she thought "a cat can only run so far." With that in mind she kept up her chase against the cat.

On a nearby rooftop, doing all kinds of stunts, was a 17 year old boy named Rex. Rex soon noticed a girl around his age, chasing a cat. "Well, i guess i'd better help." said Rex. Rex jumped and flipped from rooftop to rooftop until he reached a steel girder going diagonally to the ground. "Hmm, seems sturdy enough...here goes nothing." said Rex. Rex then stepped onto the girder and started sliding down like he was on a surfboard. As Rex reached the bottom, he flipped off the girder and picked up the cat as it ran by. "Sorry to just drop in like this, here's your cat." said Rex as he handed the girl her cat.

The smoke danced in the air like shadows on a wall. The ashes instantly fell into the tray after the finger hit the cigarette, slowly the young man raised it again to let the smoke dance once more. The room wasn't very well lit, only a singe candle was burning down slowly,while piles of paper and books stapled on the table. As he red the last dot, he supported his sleepy head in his hands.

 

"I don't get anything... why has italian has to be such a hard language... and why do I have to learn it anyways. He took a deep breath of his cigarette. Seriously, why can't I learn a language that is actually used? French or spanish, both spoken in multiple countries... but italian... the only time I will need it is when arguing with the mafia." He sighed and extinguished his cigarette. He closed his vocabulary book and headed to the big window in his room, the cold light of morning shone over his uncle's little garden, everything seemed so unchanged since he got here for the first time, especially the apple tree with the swing.

The young man looked up and remembered how he got here.

 

A young boy, probably five years old pulled a suitcase behind him that was way bigger than him. He seemed lost at the huge airport. He was looking down, to shy asking anyone for the exit. suddenly he ran into an old man with long white hair braided to a ponytail, wearing a leather jacket and jeans."I'm.... I'm sorry!." The quiet, voice of the boy was nearly unnoticeable. "Don't worry." The old man said. "I'm waiting here for my nephew from ireland, he should arrive soon." The boy slowly looked up. "I just arrived from ireland.." The old man raised his eyebrow. "Julius Bryne?" The boy nodded shyly. "So you are finally home... Im your father's older brother, Steven Bryne, but you can call em uncle Steve. "Okay.." The boy said very quiet. In the car he began to cry. "What is it Julius?" His uncle asked. The boy looked up. "I miss mommy and daddy...." The old man looked down sad. "You have to understand, they can't afford to care for you right now, they don't earn so much money..."The boy's tears didn't stop falling. "But I miss them." The old man had to think, then he smiled. "Julius? do you like swings?" The boy looked up, his eyes where red because of all the tears. "I have never been on one before..." The car stopped at the beautiful house of Steven. "We're home... and I have to show you something..." He held his nephew's and and headed back into his small garden. The young boy's eyes widened as he saw the apple tree with the swing. "Can-can I?" Uncle Steve nodded. Go ahead.

 

Julius smiled and turned back from the window to his homework again.

"I miss the simple old days..."

Jason turned in surprise, nearly jumping. "Um, excuse me if I may ask....but just who the heck are you?" Jason asked, putting his hand into his pocket, grabbing the pocket knife he carried around. He never needed it, as he was rarely outside, but it comforted. It was a gift from his grandfather, to boot.

"And just how did you pass all the security?" Jason inquired, stepping towards the intruder.

 

Jason was very surprised at this, never before had someone ever managed to come into the mansion uninvited. Those who tried, were easily found by security and arrested. This guy has some nerve...and skill, to get into my room. And then he asks me who I am? Just who is this guy? Jason thought.

Natsu humbly took the cat as she thanked the boy. "Thank you kind sir." She said and bowed. Natsu knew most of the Japanese culture since her mother had been Japanese. "My name is Natsu ko or Summer Child, and you are kind sir?" Natsu asked the young man . "He seems nice." She thought and smiled a friendly smile. While she waited for an anwser she brought the cat up the eye leavel it give her the 'If you don't put me down right now I'lI kill you.' look. Which if you've ever got can either be just weird or just plain creepy and went given from a cat is both.

"You can call me Rex, everyone does, if you don't mind me asking, why were you chasing your cat through the streets at this hour?" asked Rex.

"Who am i? I am Edoruz. Chosen of the gods. With my CrossBow, i think you should owe me just one thing." Edoruz said, sharply.

Valentine sighed, she delicately touched the bruise on her knee thinking how stupid it must of been for her to run into her night stand, after all she had a white cane to guide her around. She sat in her empty room, with only the comfort of her night stand, bed, and white cane, the room appeared that way on purpose, her mother had cleared everything out when she had recently lost her sight. She was lonely, every day of her life, and she started to think that probably would be for the rest of it. She knew none of the kids at her old school liked blind kids, they just took it as an advantage to bully her, she couldn't see what they had done, but the one thing she could see, was her feelings being crushed.

"Valentine, honey, someones on the phone for you." Her mother said coming in hastily.

"Who?" She said motionless, she traced the source of her mothers voice and stood up, she grabbed her cane and guided herself to her bed, her mother put the phone in her hand.

"It's answered, just talk."

"Hello?" Valentine said as she placed the phone to her ear.

"Ah Rex,I do not mind you asking and to anwser your question this cat was from off the street and I took it home. My parents let me. I tried to give it a flea dip and it run away. A little sneaker he is." Natsu coutions with "I was takeing to to the vet after school towmorrow." She lowed the cat from her face. "That the only reason." She added as an after thought.

Jason backed away from the intruder. "Excuse me? 'Chosen of the Gods'? Just who the hell are you?" Jason pulled out his pocket knife, confused yet a little afriad at the intruder. This guy is crazy! I better call the security before he does anything dangerous.

Jason meerly held the knife in his hands, and backed up against the wall, making sure the intruder couldn't see Jason pushing a small button in his hands.

"Please, leave. I don't want you hurt or anything, you're the first random person to talk to me. But you'll certainly be hurt if you stay."

"Oh, understandable, me, i've been out here all day, my parents are working over seas so, i'm practically on my own around here, they've been over seas for about a year now and they sold our home before they left, before they left, they said they'd send someone to get me when they settle, i've been running around the streets, living from place to place ever since, and to be honest, the only friends i have are fellow battle reenacter's, i never normally stay in one place long enough to make any real friends...oh, sorry, i'm just rambling here, it tends to happen sometimes." said Rex, hoping Natsu wouldn't think he was wierd or anything.

"No,no it's fine. I can help you out. I'm sure my parents will let you stay at our house." Natsu says with a smile. "It's not to far from here. So come on I'll lead you there." Natsu smiles again. One thing people had always said about her was that her smile was pretty and that she always had one. She reached over and grabbed Rex's hand. "Come on hurry up." She said.

Katie sat her book down, leaving her finger in between the pages, and took a drink of her soda. She sat back in her green lawn chair and took a deep breath. 'Its so pretty out today.' she thought smiling. She saw a girl chasing a cat and rolled her eyes. 'Shes never going to catch it.' she took one last look around her and picked her book back up, beginning where she left off.

"Alright, i'm coming, i'm not as fast on the ground as i am on the rooftops." said Rex. "Oh, by the way, just off the top of my head, what do you do for recreational activities?" asked Rex. "I do Parkour and martial arts myself." said Rex.

"Hi, is this Valentine-" It was a lady.

"Yeah, what do you want?" The voice on the other line sighed, frustrated like.

"I was calling to ask you about your condition, i'm your doctor remember?"

"Oh yeah, that's right, sorry for the confrontation, but i don't really like using this piece of crap cell phone, i can't call anyone anyways. Also, about my condition, its fine, im getting around nicely and i'd recommend you stop calling so my mom wont freak out," Valentine said as she handed the phone back to her mother, "Hang up." She scrambled for the phone and apologized to the doctor over the phone. She came back in several minutes later and said, "Would it kill you to be nice to the people who are giving you medical attention.

"Yes it would mom, there always asking questions and it gets on my nerves. Besides, i'm gonna go out, alright?" Valentine said as she stood up for the bed, her mother handed her, her white cane and showed her out the door.

"Be careful!" Her mother yelled as she walked down the road. Valentine walked to a nearby stream, she had always known where it was due to the fact the running water was increasingly loud. She found her way to the side of the stream like she had for every day the past couple years and sat down in the grass.

"I'll just leave then. You don't know me, but i know you. And if you wish to know more, don't bother." With that, Edoruz walked into thin air.

Natsu just laughed."If getting A's counts then that." She said. She then smiled again. "Anyways we're almost there." She said. When her house finally was in view she started to run. "Come Rex, we're almost there." She said and as she did she begain to pull him more. "We have to hurry my mom doesn't know I left and I'd like her to be in a good mood." She said.

"Wait a minute, she doesn't know you were chasing after a cat?.....sheesh, and i thought MY mother got pre-occupied....by the way, could ya slow down a little, you're gonna rip my arm outta its socket." said Rex. Rex then got a better look at the house. "Wow, nice place." said Rex.

"Sorry." Natsu said and stopped a few step from the house. "Thanks." Natsu said and smiled. She then let go of Rex's hand. "This is where I live." Natsu said and laughed. She walked over to the door and waved Rex over and then Knocked on the door. Her father anwsed. "Yes- Honey!" Natsu sighed. "Dad, a friend of mine need help. In fact a place to stay." She says with a smile.

Jason sat down in a chair, wondering just what had happened. After sighing a bit, and contemplating alot, Jason came ot the conclusion that he had no idea what he had just experienced.

I hope I'm not going crazy....It must be this stuffy mansion. I really need to get out. Jason grumbeled, than sat up. "Fine, I'll ask Mother once more..." He whispered, and exited the room, feeling fearful and stupidly courageous to do something he had done a million times before.

(sorry for being so late...)

 

Zero sat on top of the roof of a random house looking at the sunset trying to forget the 'incident'. And saw a wolf peek his head out of the trees and bushes, he jumped down and walked over to where the wolf was. His wolf ears a appeared when he was in the woods and soon the pack came to him, Zero sat down and petted them. There were 4 wolfs; one had gray ears and was named Air; one was completly gray with a black tipped tail named Ammy; one snow white and grey paws named Wind; The last one was a gray under belly and the rest dark gray named Time. Soon I would have to leave but I didn't want to if I don't leave now they'll.......I left anyway. I got home or as I call Hell, I open the door to see my 'parents' fighting in the kitchen as usual and head up to my room. Locked it and 2 minutes later......

 

"Zero!!!! I know your in there open the door!!!!" My 'father' banged on my door, I opened it to be hit in the head with a beer bottle. "You son of a bitch!!!!! Do you know how late it is!!!! Your the one who probably wasted our money!!!!" I looked at my clock it was 9:00 it was not late and I knew my 'dad' was drunk. He slapped me several times and stabbed me with the rest of the bottle enough for a pool of blood on my carpet. He threw all his rage out so he left and I felt too tired and in pain to wrap my wounds so I lay there in a bloody pool. Sadly I don't have healing powers it would really come in handy my wounds would take months right now to heal.So slept until it was morning....

Katie was straining to see her page. She sighed and shut her book. 'Wow, can't believe I stayed out this late.' she moved her chair up to her front deck and walked into the house. She climbed the stairs to her bedroom and changed for bed. Her parents yelled good night up to her and she flicked her lamp on and continued to read.

Edoruz called out to Katie.
