My friend asked me about something, to which I have no idea about. I was wondering if someone could please clear this up.

 

For some reason for the whole game I thought xigbar was Braig, and that the 1st cutscene was just something that happened straight after BBS (terranort turning braig into a nobody). Especially considering the voice that says that his name is Ansem was not the voice of Xehanort, but apparently this is wrong

 

And also I am wondering why Xigbar is needed anyway instead of Braig, I mean Isa is one of the 13 darknesses and that is his human form, so why would xehanort need to make xigbar re-appear again. In BBS Braig helped xehanort so I do not see the motive.

 

It's probably something obvious that neither me or my friend thought of, but it has been bugging me especially as I don't know how I finished the game not realising it was xigbar not braig, considering how much his name is mentioned.

 

So in brief: When/who is involved in the 1st cutscene? Why Xigbar instead of Braig?

That was Braig and Terranort.

 

Maybe Lea just said Isa? Maybe it's actually Saix, but Lea called him Isa.

So they might still have their anagram w/ the X.

You were correct the first time. That scene did occur right after BbS. If you look at Ienzo, you can see that he still has the appearance of a little boy.

Xigbar and Saïx was collected by Young Xehanort during his time travel.

My theory is that due to Xigbar and Saïx being picked up from the past and brought to the future, it is somehow preventing their original selves from returning. Once Xigbar and Saïx returns to their own time, then Braig and Isa can be reborn. But this is just some theory of mine, I don't think it has been said anywhere officially.

Yeah I thought they both were picked up by YMX.

Xigbar and Saix both had part of Xehanorts heart inside them as MX needs them in his future plans for X-blade.

thats kinda the reason why YMX picked them

the reason why Xigbar was brout back is becuse of what xemnas said before all nobodys get a tepory heart untell tehy return to normal so if braig was brout back MX seed would get destoyedbecuse it was in that tempory heart when you return to normal form a nobody your tempory heart is flushed out and your true heart is returned to your body so i think? thats how i viewed it.

Yeah the first scene is pretty much obvious, Xehanort turns Ienzo, Even, Dilan, Aeleus & Braig into Nobodies/Heartless (even though we've never seen that version of them), the same could be said for Isa & Lea. The Ansem name was talked about in them KH2 Reports from Ansem the Wise's point-of-view, but he thought all his apprentices willingly gave up their hearts!

 

As for the whole Braig/Xigbar & Isa/Saix thing... i just went on the assumption they were human again but looked exactly like their Nobody forms, due to MX having a part of his heart in them (look at the eyes).

I think Braig & Isa are in the Organization too, and Young Xehanort got Xigbar & Saïx from the past. They are all diffrent incarnations of Xehanort, so why not? I think Braig, Xigbar, Saïx, & Isa are all in the Organization.
