Hey guys, I just beat the game today, and I want to go for the Ultima Weapon. I would really appreciate it if you could give me some tips on how to defeat Julius. Also, I know that Balloongas are always a thing for Julius, and I wanted to know how to get some more. Thanks

You get 'em at the medal shop.

using normal balloon works well when julius does his combo u need to block the hits and he will run into every balloon set up

1. Have dream eaters on your party that give you magic haste, Hp boost and defence boost

2. Have the abitlies second chance and once more

3. have at least 2 curaga and maybe a cura it will reload faster

4. dark roll for riku helps because your invincable for a second or two well dodging

5. complete some or all of the secret portals you will get more extra hp for each one you beat

I just ran in and beat him withe balara or whatever and had three curagas.......I forgot how to spell the spells names

For sora get 2 Balloonga, balloon, 2 curagas, and a cura. Spam the balloons, run away. You can also just block and hit him after the block. Level 55 and up BTW.

 

For Riku get Balloonga, balloon, 2 dark firagas, and 2 curagas. Keep moving and spamming the balloons and DFs. Also level 55 and up.

 

As for the DEs get Necho Cat, RR seal(juggle pup), and ursa Circus(kooma panda). You want a lot of magic haste and magic boost for both characters

I've kicked Julius' ass today with each character, losing only once with Sora and once with Riku. That's it. And if I could beat him, anyone can. Want to follow my footsteps? There you go.

 

1) Get your hands on Leaf Bracer (Meow Wow's Ability Link grid), Second Chance (Escarglow's Ability Link grid) and Once More (Drak Quack's Ability Link grid).

2) Equip Firagas and Curagas in equal number.

3) Spam Firaga as often as you can (and if you have Meteor like me, that helps a lot as well, although it's Riku-only) and use Curaga. Keep in mind that Leaf Bracer turns Curaga into a neat shield if you button-mash X when said command is highlighted. Especially when Julius uses his cheap combos.

4) Watch as the poor thing only keeps desperately delaying the inevitable (one of his attacks - still don't know which one - paints your commands black, and when that happens, it takes way longer for them to load, but aside from this spanner in the works as well as his late-into-the-boss-fight lightning attacks, that's pretty much it) until he collapses.

5) Celebrate. Happy dance, yay!

Nope. Not Dark Firagas, just Firagas will suffice.

first of all,i beat him at level 39,so level doesn't matter,make sure to have only magic in your deck,as physical attacks could cause death with julius.my deck was something like this(sora):

for riku it was basicly the same just swith some of the stuff with dark firaga.i attacked when he would start using a combo,because sometimes it would counter his and he would stop attacking.also,stay as far away as possible from him.when he starts using thunder roll close to a wall and use curaga,because you probably got hit a few times.once you healed,use flowmotion on the wall and get as high as you can.pay attention to hos hands,when they stop glowing,launch yourself far away and start attacking him.just rinse and repeat and you should beat him and get your ultima weapon,i didn't get any of the other secret keyblades but so far this is the strongest one,with an attack stat of 51 and magic at 54.

i used the counterpoint keyblade and my dream eaters were sudo neku with a completed link board,cyber yog,half completed link board,and meow wow completed link board.using this strategy you should be able to beat him without pushing the a button(literally!).

You should try beating the secret portals first because they raise your hp and you can get a stronger keyblade (unbound). I put 2 curagas and 2 curas in my deck just in case.
