Do you need any certain tools to make Youtube vids?

Featured Replies

Depends on what you are making

but a great editing program in general is Sony Vegas, but it's either expensive or illegal to get.

so your choice

I was about to make a YouTube account right now, coincidence?

a camera

well software to edit stuff is really good.

You could even use Windows Movie Maker.. or imovie depending on your computer

Or instead of getting a pirated version you could just download the trial over and over again

You'll need a camera.

Unless you somehow have access to the previous versions of Sony Vegas, the software will be able to tell if your free trial is over, even if you redownload it.

Like Proto said, it depends on what you're making.

If you're going to vlog, you're gonna need a camera of some kind.

If you're making fanvideos, you're gonna need some kind of media to edit with and access to getting clips from that media.

Either way, you're gonna need a video editing program. With Windows computers, they each come with Windows Movie Maker. With Macs they come with iMovie. Both are free programs for their systems. They're not the best programs, but it's a good start. Then of course there are other editing programs like Sony Vegas. However you only get a free trial and to get the whole thing it'd either be expensive or illegal.

yea pretty much what these guys said. :P

I never made one before, so ask the pros
