Pete and The Country of Musketeers (no spoilers at all)

Posted

This might seem strange, but does anyone else think that the model of Pete we see in the Country of Musketeers was particularly well animated? The facial features seemed more expressive and elastic than usual, and the way that mood and temperment is illustrated (such as the self-assured strut he does during the credits) seemed very polished and fluid. It felt more like watching an actual cartoon than just watching the usual flapping gums.

Aqua needs this physics engine ASAP

DDD had an overall improvement in animation across the board, it's most noticeable with the Disney characters. Have a look at Mickey, as well. Very Disney-like

Agreed.

The PSP had it.

They made Tron's characters look very realistic (for a KH game), and I thought they should have done the same for the KH original characters. But they didn't really, and when Riku was right next to Flint's son (I forget his name) it kinda made Riku look cartoonish. Anyone else notice that?

That's the point. A realistic Sora or Riku would be terrifying.

I like how they look when they're in the cgi videos like in the opening to Kingdom Hearts 2 and the ending. In fact, I think it would be cool if they made the graphics engine for KH III look like the Cgi movies they do with the game

CGI Sora and Riku aren't bad, but they're certainly not photorealistic.

And unfortunately, CGI quality games aren't possible yet, even on a powerful PC. It's also prohibitively expensive.

Dang, ah well, I guess your right. We could always save the cgi quality graphics for that one game that starts with Final Fantasy, and ends with VII ;)
