~The Path Towards Dawn~

~14 Months Ago~

Lulu Stellis slammed open her room in her Master’s Castle. She ran in grabbing everything she could as she wiped her tears away. She wouldn’t come back anymore……everything has changed…..all thanks to them. Lulu stuffed everything in a grey sack. She grabbed her golden pocket watch, stared at it and slowly kissed the lid. It was all she had left of her dear sister……the one THEY KILLED. They ‘The Keys’…….and to think she wanted to be one of them……no she failed and she was glad.

 

“Lulu.” The teen turned around to see her Master in the doorway. He looked at the red eyed teen and softened his eyes, “Your leaving aren’t you?”

 

Lulu simply turned around her piece of hair that hung over her forehead blocking her tear-swelled eyes. She put the pocket watch in the sack, “You knew didn’t you…..”

 

Her Master sighed, “Yes I did….”

 

“Why didn’t you tell me…..”

 

“Cause then…..your heart would have been swelled by darkness.”

 

“Like hell it ain’t right now!” She yelled at her Master the first time ever. She grabbed the sack and walked past her Master, “Master Koshi, arigato.”

 

With that the girl left full of hatred, revenge, and worst of all darkness.

 

~Today~

Lulu walked around LightShine City. The busy crowd of people walking around the square as the large flat screen TV’s showed daily advertisement. Lulu walked to the golden statue that was near the square. The golden satue of the Biggest Hero. Sora. The Hero wielding the Keyblade. He use to be in charge of the City till one day he disappeared. Ever since then the group known as ‘The Key’s’ formed while Sora’s friends, Master Riku and Lady Kairi, Master Ventus, and Master Aqua look for him. Now the Key’s rule the City…..

 

Lulu grabbed her cam recorder and started recording the bright statue smiling at her. Lulu smiled back till a loud beep came.

Everyone in the square turned around to look at the flat screen TV’s. A person wearing a golden jacket appeared, “Hello everyone, this is the fellow Key’s. We would just like to say that because of a new law, your daily produce will be reduced in price. This should make a better living. Remember we The Key’s are here to make you the citizen happy. A world full of light is the best.”

 

“Yeah right, all your doing is tricking them.” Lulu scoffed under her breath for no one to hear.

 

She started to walk away. It’s not right. What their doing….but how am I to stop them. She walked towards the LightShine bank.

 

She had to go make a deposit for her small apartment her old Master provided her. If only a sign of how could happen…..

"We would just like to say that because of a new law, your daily produce will be reduced in price. This should make for a better living. Remember, we The Key’s are here to make..."

 

"Bull." Claire Day stood in front of the windowed wall, staring down at the crowds of people bustling through the streets twenty-two stories below her. She knew all of the tricks that The Keys used, especially this kind of crap. She sneered at the thought of it. She came up with the whole produce idea years ago. It had been six years since she left The Keys. These days, she has the founder and CEO of Day Industries, the leading supplier of goods to make the lives of LightShine City the best that they could be. She had no more association with The Keys, meaning her corporation was free of corruption, unlike so many other companies.

 

She sighed, pulling the long fur coat closer to her body. It wasn't cold in her office; the gesture simply made her feel more comfortable, more relaxed. Claire took a step back, falling into her chair. It swiveled around, its occupant stopping in front of her desk. There was so much to do, and The Keys weren't helping either. The Day Corporation's true purpose was the destruction of the organization, but they lacked... well, someone to actually do it. She could create everything needed to take them out, but without a willing agent to physically do it, her revenge would see its completion.

 

Claire furrowed her brow at the thought. She had devoted her life to this cause, and she wouldn't be undone by one person... or the lack thereof...

I was walking to buy stuff at the store when I heard a familiar voice. "Yeah right, all you're doing is tricking them." I looked back it was my childhood friend Lulu, I wouldn't talk in public so I put my hand on her shoulder twice. It was an old thing we did just to make sure I wasn't a robber or something.

Of all the timelines to get stuck in this had to be the craziest on yet. She simply was confused for the lack of the better work as she walked trying to figure out what she should do now that they had got there. "Xehanort what do you think we should look for? I can't even get a good bit of information on what is happening here right now......." She was starting to become curious about the heartless here. They didn't attack and most of the time when they appeared in front of one they would go right after them thanks to there special hearts.

"I don't know Rhythm so I guess we should keep walking. Eventually something will turn up to help us like always. It just takes some time. I believe you should also focus on where you are going as well seeing as your about to trip." A second latter Rhythm was on the ground, face first, before she looked up at Xehanort.

"This should make a better living. Remember we The Key’s are here to make you the citizen happy...."

"ya you sure made my world happy." Joe Carver said. when he heard those words he was filled with the same rage he felt when he lost his world. but then he saw her the most beautiful girl he ever saw. He knew he needed to find a way to talk to her.

~11 Years Ago~

Lulu hid the best she could in the small dark corner. Yes they most likely could find her but hey she was small. Her best friends along with her were playing hide n seek but the problem was they could only play in her backyard which wasn't very big. Her sister said it was best saying that a five year old getting lost would not be good. So she sat there waiting. Wondering which friend would find her first.

~Today~

Lulu gasped as she felt someone put a hand on her shoulder but calmed down once she felt twice. That could only mean one thing......

 

Lulu turned around to see her friend since childhood, "Oh hi Zero." She smiled at him. He was always so quiet in public. That's when she realized she better go to the bank soon or they would nag her about the deposit and that was the last thing she wanted. She began walking till she remembered her quiet friend was still waiting there. Lulu glanced at him, "You wanna come to the bank with me?"

I nodded and followed Lulu to the bank.

Lulu Stellis and her friend Zero went inside the shinning gold bank. The lobby was crowded with squirming people ready to take care of their money problems and get out of there as fast as they could. Lulu was about to get in one of the long lines till she felt something squirm, Ehh....I need to go to the little girl's room.....

She looked at Zero, "Um....do you mind standing in line. I'll be right back..." Before he could answer she dashed out of the line and looked for a sign. A big Silver sign next to a elevator said, "Bathrooms are located on Floor 8." Lulu grumbled, "Ugggg they can't make a bathroom on the first floor?" She ran in the elevator heading towards the floor.

 

After her business she began to walk back towards the elevator. The bathrooms were all the way down the floor so she had to pass serval of empty offices. Lulu started to pass by a office till she herd a voice in their, "It's time Mr. Blake."

 

Lulu stopped and peeked through the blinds that were hung where the glass walls were next to the door. Luckily they were open. There was a business man sitting behind his desk with a 'Key' standing in front of him. The Key's hood covering her face. The Man looked at the 'Key' pleading, "Wait can't it be another two weeks?"

 

The 'Key' who sounded like a girl only giggled, "Mr. Blake, your heart has too much darkness and need to be taken care of for the sake of this City. Now....." She pulled out what looked like a black gun with neon pink streaming through it.

 

Lulu widen her brown eyes. She knew what the 'Key' was doing... That's when she felt something in her hand. Her Camcorder was still with her..... Maybe this was the chance she could finally show what they allways do.... Lulu turned it on and began recording through the curtains...

 

The 'Key' aimed the gun at the man's heart and quickly shot without mercy. A white arrow shot through the man. Darkness then went from the man's heart to the gun collecting all his darkness. When all his darkness disappeared the arrow went back to the gun. The 'Key' smiled till she noticed something in the window. It was a girl with a Camcorder. The 'Key quickly opened the door and dragged the girl in the room shutting the door and making her drop the Camcorder, "Now I'm going to have to kill you..."

 

Lulu panicked when she saw the 'Key' grab her actual gun. Lulu looked around one last time, just wanting to remember where she would die til she spotted a very sharp knife hanging on the wall for decoration. As the 'Key' aimed Lulu quickly grabbed the knife and ran towards the 'Key' shoving the knife through her throat. The 'Key gasped as blood split out of her throat. Lulu was terrified that she would still shoot that she also quickly stabbed her heart. The 'Key' let out more blood and fell to the ground the knife stuck in her heart. Her hood opened revealing a women with very short blonde hair.

 

Lulu looked at the mess she created. Slowly backing to the wall she slid down it and sat on the floor looking at her stained hands, "I just....killed someone......"

Lulu was taking awhile so I knew something was up and with her hate for the Keys, she must of gotten involved with something. Then I senced that there was blood somewhere on the 8th floor and that's where the bathrooms are......

"What the hell?" Claire's fingers flew across the keyboard, the computer system desperately trying to keep up with her commands. An Extraction just took place somewhere nearby, she knew it. She knew that ripple of darkness too well. She had personally performed too many of them...

 

Bingo. Kingdom Bank, two blocks east. Claire kicked her chair back, the rolling seat back against the glass wall. She rushed out of her office, turning for the roof access staircase nearby. She threw the door open, the wind whipping her black hair aorund her face. Claire brushed it aside, cursing herself for what she was about to do. Under ordinary circumstances she would simply take the car, but these were hardly ordinary circumstances. Claire took a deep breath, running across the roof top. She leapt over the edge, plummeting to the streets below. Swearing, she reached underneath her, grabbing a glider as it materialized. She landed on it with a thud, the machine rocketing toward the bank. It's gold and ivory plates shimmered in the midday sun. Claire spotted the bank below, diving down into a steep descent. A few dozen meters above the rofftop, the glider vanished, transforming into a shining rapier. Its keychain dangled wildly as she hurried for the door, sliding down the rails to the 8th floor. Claire bursted through into the hallway, following the stench of darkness that permeated the air. She kicked one of the doors open, trying to put the scene before her together.

 

A man behind his desk: the victim, apparently. A body on the floor, a knife in her chest. A pool of blood had just reached her head, her short blonde hair matting together. One of the Keys; the cloak gave her away. But it was the third person in the room that grabbed her attention. Claire dismissed her cursed Keyblade, kneeling down next to Lulu, careful to keep her long coat away from the blood. "Are you hurt? Can you tell me your name?"

Max Goof was plummeting from the sky using a star fragment given to him by King Mickey, and was coming in at a pretty alarming speed.

Luckily, he landed in a well padded trashcan, although the impact caused a few car alarms to go off.

"So much for trying to be inconspicuous..." Max muttered to himself. He held out the star fragment that he used to get here. "Man, King Mickey used to get around using this? I barely even came out alive with this thing." He angrily put the star fragment in his pocket. He couldn't be mad for too long however, this was the first world other than his own that he'd ever visited. He remembered his father Goofy explaining that different world's sometimes had special properties, and that one time he had turned into a mummy during his adventures!

He looked at his attire and sighed, coming to the conclusion that nothing had changed. He still wore his red hoodie, blue baggy jeans and his old sneakers. He even brought the white gloves he always wore. While hidden in the shadows he also noticed the people that were walking around looked nothing like the people back at home (they are human).

"They kind of look like Sora's kind," Max said quietly. He felt his long ears, and long teeth, and even his big nose.

"Mickey hadn't prepped me for this," Max complained. "I could try some of that magic uncle Donald's been teaching me, he said that's how they were able to visit an underwater world once. But I'm still a little new to the magic thing, and I don't wanna end up making things worse..."

He threw his hood over his head, and saw his reflection on a metal pipe. His face was hidden, at least for the time being.

"Alright, I need to find this Lulu, and tell her that she has King Mickey's support." He said to himself. He left the alleyway and saw the large city, astonished by the view.

"Wow...." Was all he said. "Well, now where am I supposed to look?" Gripping his hood to his head, he continued in a random direction and began to walk.

Joe was walking past the bank when he saw a gold glider fly over its roof and a girl jumped from the glider he saw a familiar weapon in her hand.

''A keyblade."Joe said he headed to the bank. when he entered he saw the girl enter a room on the eight floor he headed for the elevator with his keyblade twilight strike in hand. when he got off he found the room and saw two girl ,one girl was the key wielder and the other the girl from the square. Then he saw the key and the bloody knife sticking out of her chest.

 

"who killed her?" Joe asked the girls as a boy ran in.

I quickly ran outside went behind the building and opened my wings and opened the window to the room that I senced Lulu was in. I saw the dead key laying there with the knife stabbed in her, Lulu, a girl and a boy where standing there. 'Crap other people have seen my wings.' I thought to myself, but Lulu was in total shock. I read her mind and figured out what happened here I soon walked up to her opening my arms, at times like this Lulu always needed a hug. Even back then I would comfort her in times of trouble....

"I figured out what we have to watch out for here Rhythm. So let's get to following that girl called Lulu already. They said she'd be the best one to follow at this current time." He grabbed Rhythm by the back and lifted her up before he pointed in one direction. "So should I sneak or do we want to go direct?" He put his hand on his hood ready to pull it down.

"Ya just sneak around and follow them around for a while. I'll just walk around and find you later after you've gotten a bit of info on what's happening here. After all we can't let anyone know that we are time travelers from different time periods and timelines." Walking away she clenched her hand ready for any on coming fights from the supposed 'Keys' that where following her.

"Okay girl let's see how long I can play tag a long." He vanished into the dark leaving one or two confused faces behind when he did. "Good luck Rhythm." He thought silently before he appeared in the room Lulu was still invisible or at least he hoped so.

Max walked around for a while before he saw anything interesting. Then he noticed a large pair of wings out of the corner of his eye and saw it land somewhere behind a building.

"Uh, either large flying things are normal in this world," Max joked. "Or I just spotted something worth checking out!"

And with that, he ran towards the scene that had occurred.

~Lulu's POV~

 

I stared at the 'Key'.......the one I just killed......why.... It happened so fast....like it was nothing big..... And I always thought death....was so slow....I gulped as I looked at my hands. They were covered in dark red, her blood. Even my black leather gloves, all covered with blood.....

 

I'm......I don't even know how I feel. I just want.....Onee-Chan here....I then slip one of my red hands in my pocket and pull out My Sister's pocket watch. I stare at the silver heart across the golden lid. "I killed someone.....just like they killed you....." That's when it hit me. THEY killed her.....and I killed one of them....if getting rid of one of them that fast was that simple and with that recording I got....then maybe.....I had a chance.

 

I could stop the 'Key's' and avenge my Sister's death. I felt the corner of my mouth slide up to the thought of that.

 

I put the pocket watch back and grabbed my camcorder that's when the door opened.....Oh crap....

 

A lady with a long fur coat she saw the scene then walked next to me, "Are you hurt? Can you tell your name?" She looks a lot like Cristallum...... I was about to answer till everything started becoming frizzy but luckily I croaked out, "Lulu..."

 

That's when a boy came in asking, "Who killed her?" I then saw Zero with wings.....He looked like he was offering me a hug.....but everything's spinning and I can't move my body..... And that's when I see....Xehanort? The one Sora defeated? No....I'm just dreaming....right? Is this all happening.....

 

Then everything turned black.

"Lulu? Stay with me. Come on." Claire caught Lulu as she fell forward, looking down at her coat. Great. Blood. She supressed a sigh, turning her attention from the girl in her arms to the boy with the Keyblade. "You. Help me get her out of here. We're bringing her to St. Grace Hospital." She wouldn't ask about the weapon yet, but that wouldn't last for long. Was he associated with The Keys?

Max was fast approaching the area he saw the strange figure fly towards.

"I don't know if this will bring me closer to 'Lulu', but I gotta try." Max said to himself.

He eventually came to the scene, and without thinking stood out in plain sight. He saw a girl that was unconscious and another woman bleeding, and presumably dead.

Max had never seen a death before, and for a while Max was speechless.

He turned to the other person that was still standing.

"What.... Happened?" He managed to say.

"General Orius, welcome to AWSP Agrabar Base," A soldier said as Orius stepped out of the helicopter. He took off his black coat and kept on his shades. He wore a black turtleneck and black uniform pants. "What do we have here?" Orius asked as he looked at the report. "Heartless are creating a drill that will pierce this world. They are sighted in the east," Orius read as he threw the report at a soldier. "Lets get some heartless," Orius said as he boarded a military vehicle to the area. He met some soldiers there hiding from the army of heartless. Not one had a Keyblade. They were all armed with machine guns and assault rifles. "Alright lets split up into squads of 4 people each. Squad 1 go right, 2 go left, and 3, come with me," Orius ordered. They did as commanded. "Charge!" Orius shouted as the fireworks started. The heartless transformed into a giant monster. "I'll take care of this," Orius said as he spat his chewed gum out. The monster slammed its hand down. Orius dodged it and ran up the monster's hand. He dodged the dark spikes that shot out of the monster's arm. The monster tried to smack Orius down by hitting it's hand. Orius took out one of his keyguns and shot two bullets at it's hand. The monster screamed in pain. "You're a heartless, but you can feel," Orius teased as he jumped on the monster's face and used the blade part of his keygun to slice through while riding down. He landed safely while the heartless monster was destroyed. The soldiers saw a kingdom heart as it ascended into the sky. "This must be their first," Orius said as he opened a pack of gum and chewed one.

"Target's knocked out and so I take this time to leave before something else happens to me." He thought while pulling his hood up before he summoned a Neoshadow just as he exited the door. "When they are gone I believe getting rid of the body and blood would be your job today Neoshadow." It nodded slightly before vanishing as he began walking out of the building to wait for Lulu to awaken. Hopefully no one else would decide to notice Xehanort or the boy who had just summoned a Heartless out of nowhere with it listening to him.

I knew Lulu was paralyzed so I stroked her hair instead. I took out my sketch book and wrote "Do you want to know what happened? I can show you."

Max looked at the one who had taken out a sketch book.

Max pulled the hood over his head down more.

"You'll show me? How? Who are they?" Max had realized how intrusive he was becoming, and stopped asking questions.

"Oh, sorry. I just realized I'm a total stranger to you. I'm used to being able to talk to anyone like this where I come from-" Max covered his mouth. "I mean, with the people I hang out with."

"Hey you still need to tell me your names." Joe said to the women and winged boy as he helped the girl whose name was lulu he heard the women say to the hospital.

Wolf carelessley wandered around, checking things out. He sighed, staring at the sky. 'gosh whats to do around here?' he thought, sitting down boredly.

"My name is Claire Day. I'm the head of Day Industries." She lifted Lulu up, cradling the girl in her arms. Claire looked over to the body that lie on the floor, as well as the man slouched back in his office chair. "And I'm afraid that you all just got pulled into something that you shouldn't be a part of. Don't worry about them. I've already called for a team to take care of them."

 

Claire knew what would happen when The Keys found out what happened, if they didn't already know. Hell would rain down on this fair city, and the people would be the ones to pay. "Follow me. There's an ambulance waiting out front." She started for the door, slowing down when she entered the hallway. "Tell me. What do you know about The Keys?"

"I know a little about them," Max replied. "Master Mi- I mean my teacher, told me that they are kinda like light extremists. My teacher supports the light and all, but he told me a friend of his taught him that walking the 'path to dawn', whatever that means, is always the best thing..." Max began to wonder if he'd said to much, and pulled down his hood even lower, which had become a sort of security blanket to him.
