Hey all, this is a fanfic where I intend to mix KH and Full Metal Alchemist. The events in this story are my own ideas of the events that take place after the movie "Full Metal Alchemist: Conqueror Of Shamballa", with a little mix of Kingdom Hearts.
Just a heads up, by the way, this fanfic is related to the original FMA and it's movie (FMA:CoS). I'm not going to connect it to FMA:B or the OVAs mainly because I haven't seen them X3
Winry Rockbell, now nineteen years old, stood in front of a grave in her home town-Resembool. She gently placed the flowers by the grave as she did so every month. It had been two years since she had last seen Edward return from the gate in the underground city, beneath Central.
Winry's life had not been an easy one. In her childhood, her parents had been killed in the notorious 'Ishbalan war'. Several years later she had lost Edward and when she finally got him back, he had left again. Shortly after Edward returned to the parallel world he had come back from, she realized that Alphonse too had disappeared and was the first to reach the conclusion that he had followed his brother into the gate Later she discovered that Wrath had also disappeared and after a week she stopped searching, telling herself,"When he wants to come back, he will".
Winry took one last look at the grave before leaving. It had been almost a year since the woman who raised her, after the death of her parents, passed away. Winry's grandmother was the one who had inspired her into becoming an auto-mail designer and had taught her how to do so. After the disappearance of both the Elric brothers, her grandmother was the only family she had left and with her gone Winry felt there was only one thing left for her to do now- find Edward.
Winry now lived in Central with her pet dog. This also allowed her to be close to her friend, Sheska, the librarian at Central.
(Music stops)
It was a little past sunset. Alex Louis Armstrong, often known as the 'Strong-arm Alchemist' walked by a street in Central happily humming to himself while carrying some construction material for a building which was being repaired after the strange incident that caused a lot of damage to central two years ago. Most of the city had been repaired, thanks to the use of Alchemy. Now all that was left was to cover up the large hole in the ground that showed the underground city. There had been too many questions about it and Central Command wanted to cover it up to avoid all the annoying questions.
He passed by an alley when, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a small girl in a black cloak, sitting in the far corner of the alley. She simply sat there, holding herself like she had been affected by trauma, staring at the ground through her blue eyes like she had been hypnotized. He decided to confront her.
She sat there, confused, scared, haunted by questions. She had woken up in this alley only a few hours ago. She had never been here before. What worried her more was that she was alive. She sat in the corner of the alley and stared at the ground as words and questions echoed in her head.
................."Go on! You keep running, but I'll always be there to bring you back.."
...................................................................................................................."Figure out who really needs you more..."
"Even I won't be able to remember you..."
..........................................................................................................................................."Where am I?"
................................."How did I get here?"
........................................................................................."How did I..?"
"Young lady, what are you doing here all by yourself?", came the words from a very tall, broad figure in front of her.
She finally looked away from the ground and looked at him. He was probably twice her size, with a little bit of blonde hair and a large yellow mustache. He wasn't wearing a shirt and had an extremely muscular body, to the point where it was a bit scary. She didn't reply and simply returned to staring at the ground.
"Where is you family?", he asked yet again. She still didn't reply. Armstrong sat on one knee near her and put down the construction material.
"Do you have any friends?". For the first time he saw a response. She nodded, but for some reason a small tear rolled down her cheek.
Louis was not a fool, he immediately decided not to ask her about her family or friends. He remained silent for sometime.
"What is your name?", he asked.
Finally she replied, not with a nod or a head-shake, but with a word, "Xion (shi-on)".
"Well, Xion, I must tell you that a dark alley is not safe for someone your age. Come with me, you look like you could use a place to rest", Louis Armstrong replied with a friendly look as he offered her his hand.
Xion continued to stare at the ground for sometime and then stood up and nodded slowly, still looking at the ground. Armstrong got up, picked up his construction material and said,"follow me", as he began to walk out of the alley.
