So I just realized that I need clarification on a certain point. Remember that part when Sora is in TWTNW during KH II and has that random battle with Roxas? What exactly did Roxas mean when he yelled "Tell me why he picked you?!" at Sora? Who was he talking about?

My best guess is that he was talking about Ventus...? but I really have no idea. Was that explained somewhere and I missed it or something?

Yes, it was a mistranslation, but I like to think that it was an accidental reference to Ventus. xD

my kh2 games says why did it pick you not the mistranslation

I think it may also be possible he is reffering to DiZ here, as in why did he pick you instead of me?

I thought it was some Yaoi thing where he was asking why Axel died for him or why did Riku pick Sora instead of Roxas.

I always thought he meant Riku, as in why he picked to get Sora back rather than leave Roxas alone. That was, until I found out it was a mistranslation. He's really talking about the Keyblade.

Yes, it's a mistranslation, but Final Mix does a good job of utilising said mistranslation well enough that I can easily accept Axel as an alternative answer (and honestly, the timing can't really be a coincidence...)

Alright. A mistranslation that can be viewed from any angle! Pretty awesome that it worked out so well in that way, heheh. Thanks, everyone!

playing that scene I noticed it said the same to me too but I never noticed it bcs since that time I knew it was about the Keyblade
