Just curious. I've been thinking about these kinds of things considering the time I've put into my local anime club. (YES, I have an anime club at my school.)
I've also noticed no one has already made a thread paticulary like this anyway, so what the hay?
So, let's chat. Here's my favorite voice actors in no particular order.
Yurie Lowenthal: I can never get enough of this guy. Sure, he's most notable for playing an whiny emo....but I still like it. After all, there was a time when that paticular emo was enjoyable. And let's not forget his work as a blue haired, small, frail little youngster who grew up to be a mega badass. Also, I really, really, REALLY.....want him to do work for a DragonBall project. THINK ABOUT IT! Wouldn't it be super-special awesome for him to play a cocky, 20 something Sayian and be all "Goku....you're the one I want to fight the most!" But....that's just me. BUT, BUT, BUT, Namco Bandai...listen to me, if you even have the IDEA of an Ultimate Tenkaichi 2, get Yuri mothertrucking Lothenthal on the phone and tell him you want him to voice lines for a Hero Mode voice. I don't care if the gameplay is the same OR if there's less characters.....I will but the HELL out of that game.....I am not bullshiting you.
Vic Minogna: (Note: If you're hanging with me this far....there's no way it'll get worse for you. ) Anyways....KAKAROT! Nuff said. Actually, there's more to said, like this man's ability to play a hulking, green haired monster of a Saiyan (as I proved) OR an ego stroking, half man, half metal blondie (no hate intended, I actually like this character alot)....which is ironic because that's how Vic is in real life. lol. except for the half man, half metal part. And MAN, can this guy SING! I think its a rarity where you can be able to both VA and sing well, too...He defiantly got me with Bit and Bit....and then when he did Dragon Soul...ojh sweet balls of fire! Plus, don't get me started on the openings from the show(s) starring that blonde kid I mentioned earlier....anyways, FUN FACT: right now, he's working on an english dub for a new Legend of Zelda anime. (And no, this isn't a contination of that crappy one from the 90s...it's gonna be better. WAY better. Trust me.)
James Douglas: I love this man because of four characters: 1) A calm, cool, and badass sounding Saiyan in UT's Hero Mode (if you know what I mean), 2) A giant, purple, alien who doesn't know what a Goku is (lol), 3) A guitar shredding Buddist gone mad. ("DEATH IS ROCK AND ROLL!") That never gets old... , and 4) A beat up and thrashed robot "God of Dead" that can STILL kick my ass...("Casshern! You are my nemesis! You are my enemy!") That never gets old, either.
Christopher Sabat: The man who can be ANYONE. Whether it be THE PRINCE OF ALL SAIYANS....a green dang-a-lang man....an red alien with an Australian accent....a blue alien with a French accent....a worthless bandit with a fetish for wolves (ooh...put that in your pipe and smoke it. ).....the list goes on, and that's just ONE anime I referenced to. ONE. This man.....is a team player. No doubt in my mind.
Colleen Clinkenbeard: Ah....sweet, sweet Colleen. Butter to my ears. THANK THE FRICKIN LORD....that she was given the HONOR of being the new English VA for a boy who used to sound like he chain-smoked. Now, he actually sounds like a little boy, and later on....a pre-teen boy. THAT'S how you do it, people. (You know who I'm talking about....those mutha flippin fans with the nostalgia glasses glued to their heads....ugh....hold on, let get off my high horse now...) ANYWAYS, Clinkenbeard also did another character for that series...didn't really need to be changed, unlike the last one I was talking about, but I like it nonetheless. Plus, she's also known to play both very attractive yet very SCARY women....these include a G-cup warden who will cut you in half for anything you do (nightmares.... http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-confuse.png )....a gun-toting soilder who'd whip my ass in a mili-second.....and an armored-clad mage who I recommend you NOT mess with....or any of the women I've descibed. Serously, just try it. I TRIPLE dog dare you...
