Can someone explain to me why when Sora and Riku entered the test thier age was turned back to KH 1. Did anyone notice that or am I the only one?

They were stripped of the powers they gained as they grew for a fair test?

Yen Sid said that their self-taught ways of the keyblade had to be erased. So in the dream world their looks changed to how they looked before they learned how to use a keyblade.

Magic...Because Yen Sid wanted them to re-learn the ways of the keyblade by sending them back in time so they can enter the realm of sleep for the MoM.He also gave them their clothes and whatnot.

they were sent back in time/dream-wise so they could learn fresh, their alterd appearance ( new clothes ) is a result of Xehanorts interfearance explained later in the game, dont want to spoil

Actually Yen Sid gave them new clothes . Xehanort just altered the clothes later on with the recusant sigil.

Yensid didnnt that was just an assumption on soras part, the whole outfit was a result of the sigil put on him by Ansem at destiny island and Rikus new outfit becasue of his transformation into a dream eater, becasue the transformations happend while they were in the past/dream they stayed in their younger forms througout the test having been alterd because of Xehanorts interferance, otherwise they would have just appeard to be themselves as shown at the endcredit scene with Sora back in traverse town

No actually Nomura confirmed this .. Yen Sid gave them new clothes and Xehanort later altered Soras with the X.. This is also why Sora still had these clothes when he entered TWTNW. Yen Sids magic would only wear off when they returned to the Mysterious Tower. Go read the May 10 Famitsu interview and the DDD Ultimania interviews if you missed this.
