So I was just wondering if anyone else on here played Kingdom Hearts II for the fist time after playing 358/2 Days? That's how I did it and I'm guessing it's a completly different experence than the one people had when they played the game when it first came out.

I didn't, I actually rented KHII to see if I would want to buy Days. I loved it, so I bought Days.

 

I do wish I could have played Days without knowing Roxas's story in KHII, would have made the game so much more emotional for me (that, and not accidentally spoiling the final boss fight).

Honestly, I played KH2 right after Days. Days was my first game, and I needed more. Bought KH2 then BbS then KH1

Nope. I could have, but backward compatible PS3 doesn't work.

I got KH1 in about '03, '04, just before KH2 came out, then I got KH2 and I played those with CoM on the GBA. I've kind grown up with the series in my hands, so, yeah, I've played mostly in the order of release, though I have never once beaten either CoMs.

Same here. Have just played them as they released since KH1's release. I honestly was never interested in Days or Coded, so when I bought Days it was to tide me over for BBS. lol

I played Days first, which I personally think is the best way to do so since it avoids spoilers.

Days was my first as well because at the time I only had a DS. I saw a let's play of KH1 first though and saw a CoM at the while I played Days. While I was watching KHII, I decided to get a used PS2 and got to play those games.

I have played the series in order as they have come out. As for the experience being diffrent, I assume it is completely diffrent. You are completely in the dark (no pun intended), and I personally was very confused as to Roxas and the organization. After I played Days I had one of those "Ooooohhhhh" moments.
