Who should win this year's election?

Posted

This goes for our American members, But everyone else can vote and share their opinion!

I'm only a year away from voting, but I support Obama. It takes more than 4 years to clean up an economic mess, we even got jobs for people, even if it's just a little. We could go with 4 more years. That and the rich shall suffer by paying taxes like everyone else should also pitch in to supporting their country, the lower class should not be the only ones to pay their taxes.

26 members have voted

  1. 1. Who should be the president?

    • Mitt Romney

Romney isn't so great either, but at least he can't do worse than Obama. Nobody could do worse than Obama at this point.

Isn't that what we said about Bush?

Obama for your mama!

I don't trust Romney. He's a phony. He tries to empathize with the middle class but he can't. He spews lots of B.S. Granted Obama does too but Romney takes the cake. He's a coward. And he's a buisnessman. Businessmen are to never be trusted. They are in for themselves. Obama has my vote.

Businessmen make money. In order to fix the economy, the country needs to make money. What better person for making money than a businessman? Obama is an idealist, you can't make money off ideals.

Obama. Romney is just, no. I don't really like the phrase "better of two evils", as I don't really see either as an "evil". I just like what Obama has to say, and disagree with Romney. I would rather have a president who says what I want to hear, yet can't get anything done, than one saying things I don't like, and making them happen*. To be honest, I don't think either will be able to help the economy much (takes more than four years to fix something like that), but I would think that keeping the same guy in would be more likely to result in change of any significance.**

*Note: I mean this more on the "Social Issues" side of politics. My next sentence covers economics.

**Note: I really don't know much about economics, so I might not know what I am talking about here. Just saying my current way of thinking. Really glad I get to take Government and Economics class this year.

The problem with Obama is that he is saying what you want to hear, but doing the exact opposite. He accepts a Noble Peace Prize yet deploys more soldiers, he claims to help Americans make more money but then takes the money by raising taxes. Romney on the other hand may do things you don't like, but at least he's not going to tell you that he is doing things you like.

Obama will dig us outta the hole we are in......... Hopefully, R. Party don't screw this up

In order to get us out of the hole, Obama needs to stop digging it deeper.

You guys know that Romney took a joke from Saturday Night Live seriously? I mean, why would we need a President that can't take a joke? There have been so many jokes about Obama these past years and he hasn't brought any of them up. (Except of the incident with the birth certificate that everyone else called Photoshop.)

Trying to become leader of the most powerful country on Earth when that title is in Jeopardy isn't something to joke about.

Bush was before Obama buddy.

Bush was before Obama buddy.

You obviously don't get it. It's a joke. Bush messed up and everyone said it couldn't get worse. Same with Obama.

picking "the lesser of two evils" is a valid reason though. you cant just say "NO ONE IN THE OFFICE, ANAARRCHYYY!!!!"

Yes but my point was that the only reason that people can come up with as to why Obama is the lesser of two evils, is that Mitt Romney is a hypocrite and is corrupt.

Obama has proven that he is every bit of a hypocrite as Romney, therefore everyone on here who uses that reason are need to apply it to both parties. Quite frankly the most important issue right now is our economy, with that being said Obama, his excessive spending, and unecessary healthcare program need to gtfo of office.
