So since Riku's dream was within Sora's dreams, does that mean that there are more sleeping worlds out there? And why does each sleeping world need to be sealed twice (one with Sora and one with Riku). TBH I love this game, but I felt it was rushed.

I thought the game was actually slow story-wise, til the end and they jammed a load of information in at once

I don't think it's wise to try and get your head around Nomura logic. Migraines.

Think about it as if it were a giant equation... Ya know what forget it we'll never understand it.

Riku was in Sora's dreams the whole time, but that isn't what implied that there are more sleeping worlds. Sora just so happened to travel to those seven, and Riku, naturally, followed. Also, a world needs to be unlocked only once. The sleeping keyholes that Riku unlocked were sort of redundant as far as the fate of those worlds go, but because they were still sleeping keyholes, he still acquired the power. You have to remember that Sora's dreams are not independent of the realm of sleep; his dreams mingle with the actual sleeping world's dreams so that the two worlds interact to some extent.

Riku was sealing the worlds in Sora's mind, sort of like memories of the sleeping worlds. As others have pointed out, it's like Data-Sora's joureny through Data-Riku's mind in Coded, he didn't revisit the worlds, he visited them in the others mind, removing the corruption. Most likely sealing the worlds had the same effect for both, removing sleep, either from the worlds or Sora.

Rikus keyholes reflect Roxas, lea, xion, namine, terra, aqua and ventus. Yen sids words were that those who sleep in sadness must awake. Notice how lea revives once riku seals a keyhole. Traverse town counts as 1 keyhole, cause YX was the 1 who messed up the town ( riku and sora can see each other for a moment for this reason ). Yen sid also said that riku closed all keyholes but sora didnt, so The TT keyholes count as 1. The games ending keyhole at destiny islands... was ventus :) However that doesnt mean sealing keyholes wakes people up. It helps sora though to get deeply connected with them to help them get their BIRTH BY SLEEP ( bbs cutscene aqua with DiZ ). Hope that helped :) Oh 1 last thing... since kh 3d has plot connections with the DS games as well, riku sealing the keyholes affected sora. Since sora couldnt bear their hurting at first, he succumbed to the darkness and thus, did not become a keyblade master. :)

Pretty much this. Riku was following Sora.

Yeah, I loved the plot too, but think it was rushed a lot. There are lots of things left unexplained. In fact, Nomura stated that this games plot was lately planned.

indeed :P thats also the reason clu remembered sora even though he practically never met him at that time. I believe tron was sleeping back then and his dream interacted with clu and sora :)
