What exactly happened to him and his heart and do you think he will be back for KH3?

When he "died" , he went 'into' Terra. We dont really know his status since but I do think he will be back for KH3 in some fashion since nomura did say that scene was important.

Yeah, KH likes hiding characters within characters within characters. It saves them the problem of making up a place to banish the characters to, like the Shadow Realm.

now that i played ddd i think terra was using his body inside terra armor. alot like how the nightmares use sora body, and ven"s armor.

I have a feeling he's the only one who will stay dead.
