-Prologue-

 

The Old Composer, Joshua, gave the last watch to the players of the week before, “You will need these to keep in contact. They are designed to look like watches but are a lot more. You’ll easily get lost in this world so look out. I will be here and this is where you’ll report back at the end of the day. Oh and one last thing…” The players gave him a rather questionable look. “There will be one more person to your team.” Joshua looked at the blue door.

The door was pulled back to reveal a teen with somewhat messy black hair, he also wore a watch. Joshua pointed at him, “This is Takayama Akoi. He is my apprentice and will be helping you…or will try.” Akoi looked at the players and glared at him. Joshua looked at all of them, “Well I wish you good luck…”

“Try to survive…”

 

-Day 1-

 

I woke up to see all the other players asleep. Sigh…it’s expected. A little tug bothered my hand. I looked to see a green flame like clock with the numbers 3:00. Well that was expected too. The time started to count down as I looked at the other players. That’s when my cell phone rang. I flipped open the phone to read the READ ME message…

 

“Go towards Cirrcuke Ave. Defeat 100 noise. Go!”

- Grims

 

Heh, simple enough well…..for me. I cancelled the massage and began to data this right away. Yes, I keep tract of every moment in my phone. Best way to discover and complete….

 

“Day 1, Mission to go to Cirrckue Ave. Defeat 100 noise. Players still asleep.”

 

I put my phone back in my belt and get up.

Time for real…

I looked up at Auron with a slight smile. "Okay, I won't lose it." I said, looking down at the orb. This orb pretty much contained Tetsu's soul in it so I needed to keep it safe. As long as we had Tetsu's soul, Auron would be able to go back to the real world. "I'll be okay, don't try in protect me a lot, I'll be fine, worry about yourself." I said with a smile, holding the orb close. I still have strength in me, I just don't know how to express it other then fighting. Maybe Auron can be another person I can look up to..Since Noro is dead, Auron is the closest person to me right now, since the regards with Isaac are a little off and Skull is acting troubled again....

I had noticed a presence behind me and teleported away. "Who are you? And what do you want me?" I asked still shooting noise changing into a cannon of 5 machine guns.

J

The silence remained as J simply observed Skull, who didn't even have the courtesy to give him his full attention. J walked straight up to a Noise and placed his hand right on its forehead. The Noise let out a pain filled screech and turned a grayish color, falling over dead. Before anyone could blink, J did that to twenty more Noise. Withered corpses lay all around as J looked at Skull's face. Raising his finger, J pointed at Skull and finally broke his silence. "You......... You spared his life and intertwined with fate..... You are..... unnatural........", J said in a chilling, airy voice that seemed to echo the voices of many different people, elderly men, young women, middle aged humans, every possible voice out there. J's intention was to end Oron, not Skull, as Skull was actually heroic in the eyes of fate. If Skull protected Oron any further (sparing his soul earlier on) however, J would kill him without hesitation. He couldn't feel Oron's presence for some reason though, even though he for sure was here.... He must be hiding in someone's soul, masquerading himself from being found.  J began to walk straight forward at Skull, noticing the others around him. Still walking even closer to him, J spoke, "My job.... is to fix disturbances....... Tell me who Oron's in....... or die." J had not yet discover Isaac, as the only people around him were Skull, Sayo, and Auron, but it made the most sense that Oron would be in the body of the man who saved him, Skull. J stopped right in front of Skull, standing about two feet taller than him. Looking down, J breathed a cold air into Skull's face, awaiting an answer that could affect the fate of everyone there.

~Isaac~

I was startled not only by Oron's sudden yelling, but more especially the fact that HE was startled...possibly even scared. "Or-- Oron..! What's...wrong?!" I asked him inside my mind, stuttering and even slightly trembling in fear of the unknown. I clenched my fists and stood closer by Sayo nervously. With Oron inside me, I could feel what he felt about J. But I didn't know WHAT it was...I was still trembling.

"Frightened..?" The shadow asked Oron. "I can feed on that fear..."

 

~Selim~

I looked back at Skull as my shadow sliced three Noise nonchalantly at my side. "Someone new, I see. Maybe my shadow can have a long-deserved dinner."

I asked looking up at him. "If your job is to kill him your going to have to get him out of someone's soul. But exactly what are you going to do with him?"

J

J looked back at Skull as if he had asked a stupid question. "I'll devour his very soul.... and anyone aiding him!" J noticed something in Skull's eyes, almost worry from the previous remark. "You seem to be inferring.... that he's in someone else besides yourself..... who's then?" Just by gazing into Skull's eyes, he could tell everything about his personality, as well as easily reading his emotions. "Tell me or else..... I'll kill that girl over there..... an obvious acquaintance of yours," J said, getting straight to the point as he nodded his head over towards Sayo. 

 

Oron

"Isaac, we need to get out of here quick! Don't be obvious but sneak away right now, or you and me will be mincemeat!" I continued to panic. I felt the shadow lingering nearby yet again....... but we would need all the help we could get to survive this new threat.

Obviously he was reading me I had to give him credit though no one else could read me. Since I was so unemotional back then.... ".....I'll tell you but in exchange you can't hurt anyone else deal?"

J

"Before.... I agree.... I must warn you.... I will kill the one that holds Oron..... just to ensure the complete demise of his soul." J said, walking over and observing Sayo. J looked at her face, then down to her feet, circling around her as he did so. "Strange... You look familiar....." J said, ceasing his actions and walking back over towards Skull. "So... do you accept these terms?"

"Isn't there another way? Like transferring him out of his soul?" I asked slightly shocked... 'There has to be another way....'

"Who are you? Some creep? Get the hell away from me!" I snapped, watching J walk away. 'Dang what does he want?' I thought, holding the orb close.

J

J thought for a second as he closely considered Skull's words. "I'm afraid there isn't..... but since you referred to... the person with Oron's soul as 'his soul'..... I can only assume it is a male..... other than yourself. That's all I need......" J turned his back on Skull and walked over towards Sayo again. Standing about triple Sayo's height, he crouched over and observed the orb. "Interesting........" J said. Looking right up at Sayo, he spoke, "So, who's soul.... are you keeping prisoner in there?"

"I can't tell you that. Let's get away from this creep Auron. I need this soul." I snapped, grabbing onto Auron's sleeve again. "Who are you anyway? Another Reaper I'll have to demolish?" I asked, my grip becoming tighter on the orb.

(I'm talking on phone with Lee and she says "Stupid advertisements.")

"Tch..." 'I need to find and protect Issac...this is my own fault.' I teleported to Techno, 'Techno! New order protect Issac no matter what!'

'Why?'

'Just do it or he'll........'

'I got it.'

J

"No.... you can't kill me.... I'm already dead.... but I like your zeal Sayoko," J said, somehow knowing Sayo's real name. "If you'd wish.... we could battle... but I must warn you..... you will lose." J stood back up then looked over at Auron, then down to the orb. Oron could be anywhere, inside the orb, inside Auron, or inside someone else currently not present. Perhaps that was why Sayo was not telling J what was in the orb, because she was protecting Oron. If that were, the case, she'd have to die of course. 

"I'd rather not. Leave us alone. Never call me Sayoko again, only two people are aloud to call me that." I said bluntly, turning around and grabbing Isaac's hand tightly and with Auron's sleeve, I quickly ran down the road. "Something isn't right with that person." I wispered, putting the orb in her dress pocket.

~Isaac~

I wanted to leave-- but this man was already here and I would be under suspicion if I ran away. Fearful of my life, I clenched on to Sayo's hand as tightly as I could. "Oron...who is he? I feel...almost paralyzed..." I told Oron as I looked up at the faceless J with fear.

"Waiting...waiting...just a bit more." The shadow mumbled to itself. "This new man...this...creature...he's no darkness. He is not dark...he is just...evil."

J

Hearing Sayo's whisper from down the road, J simply stated to himself, "I'm not a person....." J turned over to talk to Skull, but he was gone, and J was left all alone. Suddenly, he noticed a smaller boy looking similar to Sayo standing by. J quickly appeared a few inches from his face and spoke, in a chilling, cold manner, "Oron is in you.... isn't he?"

 

Oron

"Isaac, we have to go now, run or else we'll die. C'mon Isaac snap out of it!" I screamed. "I'll tell you later but now we have to go or there won't be a later for any of us!"

Nrrg ... who is he? He´s not like the other reapers... In fact is he areaper? I said while pulling out my game and the purple orb as well. then I charged energy at it.. then the note sheets begin to appear around me... 

wHO ARE YOU? 

"Get the hell away from him." I yelled, pushing Isaac behind me and pointing my blade at J. I swear my whole body was shaking, Who was this person? What did they want? Oron. "Your after Oron, aren't you?" I asked, protecting Isaac. "He isn't here. Go away." I lied, handing Isaac to Auron. "Run. Run. Don't worry about me, run as fast as you can." I said, looking at Auron. "I'll protect you guys..." I said with a smile.

I teleported back with Techno. Standing in front of everyone, "I'm sorry I can't let you hurt the boy or Oron." I spread my arms out...

~Isaac~

I was even more paralyzed with J only inches away from me. Where...where was his face? Wh- where was his...body?! I stood paralyzed at the glance of J, every mere breath of mine went unheard. My shadow slithered out of my body unnoticeably. While always in my body alive, it...was still able to keep the same amount of darkness inside Isaac and still travel to another vessel. A shadowy violet eye appeared where J'd nose would be. "To be honest...I believe this body seems fitting for me." It said as I was pushed behind by Sayo. With that I began to view everything normally-- but not being under paralysis was the only difference. Skull appeared soon...I was fearful of what J would do to me-- and to them.

J

J felt something enter him, like a presence similar to Oron's, yet completely different. He instantly knew the identity of the intruder, and spoke in his head, "You.... If you wish to remain in my body, answer me this. Is Oron inside of that boy there? You would know right? You are his shadow after all....." J continued speaking to both the shadow and towards the others simultaneously. "Sayoko...... I'm sorry I have to do this...... but don't worry..... it won't last forever." J suddenly appeared behind Sayo and quickly jammed the tip of his finger into a tiny spot on Sayo's neck, a blue flash coming from the spot of impact. Before anyone could react, J returned to his same spot just as quickly as he'd vanished. Suddenly, Sayo's arms went limp at her side, J disabling her from using them. "You see.... when I was observing you earlier.... I noticed your weak points......" J proclaimed as he directed his attention at Skull. "Now, if you don't wish to end up.... powerless like the girl.....ZERO........ I'd suggest you step aside..... same for you..." J said, pointing at Auron who was ready to attack.

"I can't let you take the life of anyone here! Even if that means I have to die!!" I yelled, 'again.....'

J

"Who.... said anything about killing you?............ Tell me..... why do you wish to die?" J paused for a moment and decided to reveal something Skull may have been unaware of. "Fate..... sees you as a hero....... and heroes...... aren't suicidal......... but defying me..... is............ You go against me..... and you become the villain."

Oron

"Isaac, your shadow has left the building, he got out somehow, but I don't know how! Dammit why couldn't he have showed me the exit?????" Oron spoke frantically. "We need to go now, RUN! I'll tell you who he is soon I promise, but right here is too dangerous! He can read our expressions like a book! So if I told you who he was, your reaction might give us away!"

"It's better than being stuck in this game." I said then heard J saying I was a hero??? "I'm no hero. I'm just a useless experiment!....It was all that I was. But I just can't stand here and watch my friend die!"
