Maybe Kingdom Hearts Theatrythm? I remember Square Enix saying how they were interested in using other series for Theatrythm, if I'm not mistaken.

I wouldn't mind an iOS port

I can't translate since I'm going to class, but I read on aibo's twitter that nova found some coding in the site that points to a mobile port (android was also part of it). I'll link it later if no one else does.

I'm guessing its a mobile port, and I'm not that excited. The game is perfect for the 3DS, IMO, and there really isn't any reason to re-buy it.

Link?

There's no need for translations now, Oishii-san. it's confirmed to be an iOS port. There’s a listing for the game on the iTunes App Store in New Zealand, where it will be available today as a free download with paid song downloads. The rest of the world will probably see it soon, too. Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy on iOS adds a new Quest Medley mode. In this mode, each quest is made up of a single field and battle sequence, and each time you play, you face different songs with different difficulties and rewards. Square Enix have also added a mode that lets you compose your own music. You can compose your own scores and share them with other players, and Square say to look out for compositions from the developers, too. Theatrhythm on iOS is a free download. The base app won’t cost you anything, but you will be required to purchase songs and characters to play with

The Quest Medley sounds like the Chaos Shrine in the 3DS version. Depending on the songs available in the base version, and if the song and character prices are similar to those on the 3DS, they could very well end up paying more than they would of for the 3DS game, for a similar amount content.*

*Though, the 3DS DLC, in total, costs more than the base game itself, too. So eh, I guess this might not really matter.

It's for a port. The only thing that's really new is new characters and some songs...
