I mean, it makes sence. In the 'Trailer' it shows parts of all the games and with the 'Reconnect' thing (I cant remember what game it was in) it could mean that Vol.2 fills all the plot wholes we dont know about in the story.

 

Like, is Ven still at castle oblivion? How/Why did Riku accept the darkness, his side of the story in KH 1. those are a few things but by far the most important one is Terra-Xehanort/Xehanort. Im assuming KHIII is going to feature Master Xehanort and his other forms in the game hence the reason why sora is going to save aqua and ven for the 2nd keyblade war with Xehanort and Org 13 or whatever, etc.

But it would be cool if the game kind of linked everything together and act as sort of a side story for KH 3.

 

Everything i said probably dosnt make sense and is probably a load of crap ive made up because i've kind of forgotten half of the up to date stuff and i haven't played KH 3D only watched the cutscences lol

 

KH 3 will probably be a next gen PlayStation launch title and BBS 2 (If it happens) will probably be a PS Vita exclusive, considering its the successor to the psp so it makes sense and its the only portable without a KH game atm lol

 

 

EDIT: Okay so i read it was cancelled? Or at least theres no plans for it, but that dosnt mean it will never happen

Right now there's no plans for a game for it. There are several possibilities for how it will be released. I don't really see them going with a simultaneous release but we'll just have to wait and see.

And Birth by Sleep -Volume 2- isn't even a confirmed game.

Actually, BBS Volume 2 didn't even confirmed as a game.It's just an additional ending that tease some of the events that happened later in other games alongside some small hints to some future events (Ansem putting data inside Sora was stated in the ending of KH3D,Ansem's secret data)

 

It might be an OVA or some additional cutscenes that they might add in KH 1.5 or KH 2.5

 

Besides, the name BBS Volume 2 seems generic and stupid IMO

Nomura has stated he's interested in following up on it but has no current plans for it as of now.

 

I doubt it would be a game but if I had to venture a guess it would be like what they're doing with the key cutscenes of 358/2 Days in the 1.5 HD Remix.

If it was going to be released, I would put it with a KH HD remix 0.5, including Birth by sleep and some other cutscenes/trailers leading onto KH3.

 

I doubt they'd release it alongside KH3, KH3 has been longed for for so long it'd completely shadow BBS Volume 2 if it was made, currently there's just a story for it though and no actual development

I agree with the name thing so much ._.'

Was it going to be a game? Yes, it was about as confirmed as a game can get without becoming confirmed.

Why isn't it a game? KH3D came along and the project was brushed to the side long enough for HD remakes to take its place.

Will it ever be a game? No idea, but Nomura did say that there is a story that he wants to be told during that time.

Someday, somehow, we'll get to know what happens between Birth by Sleep and KH1... We just got to be patient. 

I like to think that it will a video format only thing with a potential KH3.5 Re:MIX. Speaking of, I don't think KH3 will go to a next gen system, that defeats the purpose of the Re:MIXs. Same thing with the Vita, Nomura wants KH games to go back to home consoles so we won't be seeing a handheld KH for a while.  

Secret movies maybe...
