Story:

The Earth has been at rest for many years. After the malevolent threat was destroyed, the Players were able to escape the Game and return back into the Real World. However, right before the Guardian J was destroyed, he warned the Players of a threat far greater than him... More Guardians. In fact, there are three more, all waiting for the perfect time to strike. Since then, the Players have taken many different paths for their second chance at life, some devoting their time to train in order to repel the threat that will eventually come, while some have simply began families. Others have experienced..... strange occurrences. Now, ten years have passed and the peace continues to thrive, but an aura of something evil has suddenly appeared and the Ex-Players can sense it, even some humans having the ability to do so as well. Looks like the second Guardian was deciding to make his debut, and his power exceed that of the first Guardian's immensely. Tasked with no other choice, the Players must unite yet again in order to defend Earth, even having to enlist the help of other humans that wish to protect the Earth. Everyone managed to get a hold of each other, deciding to meet in a cafe in New York City. That is where this story begins.

Noron

I had never rode on an airplane before, but certain things required sacrifices. Personally, heights terrified me, but I'd have to put that fear aside for now, for something far more scary was getting ready to appear. I found myself reflecting about the past, wondering how so much had changed in those few weeks all those years ago. I hadn't seen my family in years either. My daughter must have been grown up by now, my nephew as well. My father was probably very elderly now too.... boy had the time flown by. I hadn't seen my friends in so long, as I'd been busy preparing for the return of the Guardians. I didn't want them to get involved, but by the feel of it, it appeared I'd have no other choice. Oron's mind had slowly became one with mine, but his separate presence was still present. However, if it came down to it, we may be forced to separate once again. No matter what, my life was about to change yet again.

That was not the reactions she wanted. If she took out her power drinks for fighting she was screwed. "I think you got me mixed up with someone else. I'm Blitz." Twirling her thumbs nervously while looking at the others. Best try to redirect the conversation to something else. "How have all of you been over the years?" That still didn't help really but for now she would have to deal with it even if being called Blitz sounded so wrong.

~Sayo~

"Ah ha! Yes! You are that drink girl. Blitz? Hm...is that your real name? Was that other name just a code name or something?" I asked curiosly.

There were only four of us here...was Auron coming? I missed him...also Noron...it's too bad Auron probably wouldn't come.

Bronshu:  Crossing my arms, I :  "Well like I said to Sayo, I've spending most of my time training and trying to free my captive sister from the horrors of an ubelievable 'Game' most people would say is nonsense, with no success so far.  And why do you ask as if you already knew us before if you say you're someone else?"

Diasor:  "Bronshu, what did Sayo mean by 'Drink Girl'?"

Bronshu:  I say to Diasor: "She was refering to another player during week one.  Her name was Shinra I think.  I heard she had these sort of canned drinks each had different effects.  And that's all I know.  She disappeared sometime during the week, not sure if she was 'erased' or something else happened."

Diasor:  "Ahh. Another player who didn't survive the first week huh?  I see.  I wonder if anything would have changed if she was in week 2."

Edgar-

Sitting on my desk I was checking the reports of the week. After all that was my job I suposse. Since Auron came I was so busy trying to locate any signal of Guardian activity. Almost everyone related to the people on the Higher Plane were worried and working on the subject... time was a luxury on this circunstances. Joshua and his group were working out with other composers of other areas for an "easy" location... but all until now ended in failure.

Jeez... why we need to work over this. Even the Noise don´t cause problems like this. I wonder if the others are in the same trouble as me... sigh.

The cab finally stopped. I grabbed my luggage, payed the driver, then slammed the door shut as the cab sped off. I set down my luggage and stretched out, yawning as I looked at the entrance to the cafe. There were only about two or three cars in the parking lot. Looks like the place was pretty quiet, but that would be beneficial for us. Man was I getting old too... I had pain in my back quite often now, but it was probably caused from all that strenuous training I'd done over the years. But it wasn't the time to worry about that. I inhaled, grabbed my bag, and walked into the cafe. Right on my left were a few people conversing at a table. I cleared my throat and slowly approached them. I looked at the man for a second, trying to figure out who he was... that's when it hit me. "Isaac?" I noticed a woman too, but I easily recognized her. "Sayo." Lastly, I saw someone that looked familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it...... "You guys have changed so much!" I exclaimed.

~Sayo~

"Father...no I haven't changed that much...you have." I said, hugging my Noron for a second. He was my father.

"Bronshu is here too...do you know if Auron is coming, and Skull? Those are the only two left plus Selim." I asked.

It was nice to meet up with everyone again...almost everyone. I was just being my usual, motherly self.

Bronshu:  I see someone come out of the cab and came inside.  I thought:  Hm, that looks like Noron.  I'm sure he must be stronger from his training too.  But where Auron and Skull are is a good question.

Diasor:  "Hmph. Selim.  Haven't heard of that guys' name since back then.  I bet he hasn't changed at all."

Bronshu:  "Diasor, are you still angry at Selim after all this time?"

Diasor:  "That shadow puppeteer did intefered with my fun with you more than once.  But I'm over that business."

Bronshu:  "If you say so man."

"Oh but of course! I was just saving the best for last!" I joked in regards to Bronshu. "Its good to see you again too. You look stronger from last time my friend!"  I had invited Auron and Skull, and Selim, but they weren't here yet either... "I don't know if they're coming Sayo.... I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't want to get involved in the issue I'm about to inform you all about." I sat down and cleared my throat again. "But before we get to that, how about we eat first and wait for the others?"

Edited by Master Juan

Bronshu:  I make a little snicker and say:  "Thanks for the compliment Noron.  I'm sure you're stronger too."  I rub my hands afterwards and say:  "Sounds like a plan to me!"

Diasor:  "I know this by now, but you really do love to eat don't you?"

Bronshu:  "What can I say?  I'm the next you-know-who."

Diasor:  "You mean from that show?"

Bronshu:  "Exactly!"

~Isaac~

"Everyone's mentioning my height, was I really THAT short?!" I asked as I finally glanced at Sayo and the others eye-to-eye. I then turned to Bronshu, "Looks like you haven't done too bad yourself. Working out a lot? Agh, I feel like the only one who has been more at work than any kind of training." I said to Bronshu. "And yeah basically I identify evidence of homicidal crimes. I gather evidence, data and other stuff. It does have a nice pay." I explained. "How have you been though, Sayo? Have a job?" I asked Sayo when I turned behind me to see an unfamiliar face. "I don't believe we've met. My name is Isaac Akira. And you are...?" I asked the 'drink girl' or so Sayo referred her as before. Turning behind me I saw an older man. Taking only a few moments, "Noron...! You could've at least said bye to us back at the hospital." I told Noron.

~Selim~

I walked into the cafè seeing many familiar faces and only one unfamiliar one. "Ah, Isaac. You've grown..." I said seriously followed by quite a few moments of silence. "...." Nothing was said amongst anyone for a bit. "DAMN IT! Now I'm not taller than ANYONE!" I suddenly broke the silence, then looking at Sayo. "You must be Sayo. Have you hooked up with Auron yet?" I asked Sayo, then turning to Bronshu. "HeyBronshu, is that the first time you ate in ten years?! I'll have you know I'm a bit hungry myself." I grinned to Bronshu then turned past the unfamiliar girl, ignoring her completely. "And who can forget Moron here?"

Bronshu:  Laughing a bit, I say:  "You can say that, yeah.  Well, that job does sound really interesting."  I looked and saw Selim come in.

Diasor:  "Great.  There he is now.  I'm surprised you didn't say anything right back at him."

Bronshu:  "Ten years ago I might have said something back. But, like you said, I'm over that business.  Besides, I can't let that bother me from my goal.  Now, there's just Auron and Skull left."  I gaze at my watch and around the Cafe for anyone else coming in.

~Sayo~

I swear I must have blushed when Selim mentioned Auron and his relationship with me.

"Dont talk about that Selim, why would you want to know? No. I haven't seen him since the game..." I said, extremely embarrassed.

I turned to Isaac and shook my head.

"No, not really I do side jobs and train a lot, Im lucky with the money I have." I said almost sadly.

"But Isaac I did. You both were sleeping, but I was sure to say goodbye." I paused and looked at Selim, then the Oron in me spoke, "How's my favorite little midget?" The Noro in me chuckled a little bit, but tried to keep the rude comment obscured. "Ahem, anyway. How's Grandpa been Sayo and Isaac?" Just then, the waitress set down a an 12oz Sirloin in front of me and I devoured it in three bites, then handed the empty plate back to the waitress.... She looked at me like 'what the heck?' "What?" I asked. She shook her head and took the plate, and I turned back to them. "Anyway, how's Gramps?

(Sorry about the late reply, I've been so inactive recently xD I'm assuming those volunteers Noron mentioned were the new characters?)

I've always hated large cities. I get lost too easily... I was told that there was some cafe meeting somewhere here. I'd felt as though a powerful presence had been preparing itself for the past week or so, and was curious about this meeting. Besides, I was hungry. It'd be good to get something to eat. I searched around for the cafe, and eventually found one that looked like the one that was described to me. It looked almost empty... How did they get the money to keep the place in business? I didn't have time to wonder about that right now though. I walked inside the cafe and looked around. Wow, feels weird being around all these adults... Only one other kid here. I thought to myself as I walked in. I hoped the workers wouldn't question the weird bump along my back. It's not easy hiding a katana in the streets of New York, but I somehow managed to do it. I had a feeling I'd be needing it.

(Yeah I just tried to fit the new signups into the story so it flows better !)

Noron

My train of thought was cut off as a kid walked in. I wonder what he was doing here.... Wait a minute. Surely he couldn't be helping us, could he? He's just a kid! I looked over at the boy and spoke, "Excuse me son, do you mind if I ask what brings you here? We sort of rented out this place on a private occasion, that's why I was asking."

This child wanted to help us in our fight against the Guardians? Surely this must be a mistake.... But that's when I noticed a small lump in his back. A weapon perhaps? I might as well let him explain himself and see if he'd truly came here for our cause.

One of the adults asked me what I was doing here... How would I explain it? "I was invited here for a meeting. Something about this weird presence I've felt recently." Of course, I also realized there was a possibility that I ended up in the wrong cafe and ended up looking like an idiot in front of all these people. "Uhh... Is this the wrong place?" I could have changed my reason, but I doubted they'd buy it.

Edgar-

Mmm looks like this is...mmm Guardians oringins... No. Mmmm Guardians reports... no, let´s see... Reapers Game origin... not useful. Meh this is a mess! so many reports!! I´m gonna get... beep beep. Oh.. what´s that?

I get up on the chair to check the sound. It was the old computer in my hideout. A message ... for Auron? let´s see....

A reunion? with everyone?... Mmm should I tell him about this?... nah he don´t check his e-mail, ERASE. Plus it would be a distraction more for the mission. Anyway... the intel I can get from there... maybe it will be more useful.... I said opening a portal. Crossing it, I was near the Cafe mentioned in the e-mail.

-Let´s meet the "players".

Auron & Lyra-

We were walking on the street. it was almost nightime:

Auron: So... why were you attacked by that group?

Lyra: Well that was my fault I suposse. I wanted to take a shortcut to home... and presto! a good i dea to get me in trouble.

Auron: Oh... I see....

Lyra: Mmm you look suspicious you know. Are you hiding me something?

Auron: .....

Lyra: That´s Ok. People deserves to have their own secrets. Hey! how about if I invite you a coffee cup at home?

Auron: Wait. you are suspicious of me and you invite me a coffee? that´s more suspicious

Lyra: Well ... you saved my life, don´t you? also, by your look I should think you are not eating too well.

Auron: Am I really looking that bad?

Lyra: Teehehehehe not really.

Auron: ... amm... I.. emm.. suposse .

Lyra: Excellent. We are right here.

Auron: Here? but this is...

looking at the place it was a big modern building... by the look of it, almost everything says "Expensive" wherever I looked around.

Lyra: Teehehehe.. well. Shall we?

Auron: Alright then.

My face grew serious once again, realizing this child indeed had come for the same purpose as the others. "No, you're at the right spot. You must have been the child that wanted to join the cause, a brave young soul indeed. Why don't you have a seat and order something to eat? We can get to know you better... along with this other girl too," I said, pointing to Shinra. Suddenly, someone appeared at the entrance. Funny, I never even saw him enter the building.... maybe it was just my mind going old. I  looked over at him puzzled. "Excuse me sir, but who might you be?" I questioned the man (Edgar). I couldn't say for sure, but by the looks of it, he had a mischievous look on his face....

Edgar-

Mmm..Sir?.. but I´m only... anyway. Howdy, the Name is Edgar Cole... Noro... Oron. Also hello everyone. I said looking at the rest of them..

" So these are the famous players..this ... wasn´t what expected.." I though for myself... then i said.

-Anyway I´m here... for the same reason than he called you here. Did you tell them already?

Edited by Blacksun30

"Heh, alright. I could use something to eat anyway." I walked over to a table and ordered soup. I glanced around at the others that were at the cafe. It felt so weird being around so many adults... Of course, there was one kid that looked younger than me. Way younger... I held back a laugh. The man said I'm a child? I realized that this girl and I were the only two that didn't seem to know the others, which made me feel awkward again. These other guys probably went way back. Then there was me, the newbie kid that was almost 10 years younger than the others by the looks of it. Then I noticed the new guy at the door. He looked suspicious. Something told me I should get my katana ready, but there were still normal people in this cafe too... I decided not to jump at a fight, but to keep myself ready.

"I have not... I'm still waiting for Auron, but it looks like you've decided to attend for him in his absence. Alright then, people!" I raised my voice, hoping to garner the attention of everyone. "I'm sure you all have felt it... That incredible evil power. Its the same as J's. If some of you remember, J informed us that there were more Guardians on their way and it seems they've decided to lay dormant... but now something has stirred one of the Guardians. He's getting more powerful each day as if he's preparing to strike. We cannot allow him to gain his full potential, as we must prevent the destruction of any further aspect of our society. Recall that J destroyed two of the most important landmarks of mankind, with barely any effort at that. Just imagine what this new Guardian, one that is much stronger, could destroy." I stopped and shivered, then felt a sharp pain in my heart. "Gah!!" I fell down in my seat and started breathing heavily. Suddenly, the pain stopped and I shook my head. "I- I apologize for that. As you can see, my old age is finally starting to take its toll. For this reason, I've decided to recruit new successors. If you guys could introduce yourselves," I said, referring to the boy, Blitz, and Edgar. Blitz looked familiar somehow... but I couldn't put my finger on it. Blitz didn't seem like a name that suited her....

He expects us to shake off his heart attack? I thought to myself, then stood up to introduce myself. "Hey everyone. Name's Kaze. I'm 16, great with a sword, and fun at parties." I grinned at the others, then realized that they were older than most people I had to introduce myself to. "Err, I mean, I work great in a team." I corrected myself. It was really weird when there was no one my age in the group... I sat back down awkwardly, realizing I probably looked like a disrespectful idiot. "Oh, and uh... by the way, who's J and what are these Guardians you mentioned?" I decided to ask the older man.

"J, eh? Well, I know someone who would be able to explain that to you much better than I could." Suddenly, an image of Oron appeared out of my body, a life-sized holographic version of him standing next to me. He opened his mouth to speak, "The Guardians are basically the ones that created the Game. The Game is what you must play when you pass into the next life. They forced me to fill in for them while they slept, but I didn't wanna do their dirty work anymore, so I quit. When I did that, the first Guardian, who had a strange fondness of the English letter J, appeared and tried to kill me. Since I was in Isaac's body at the time, he was going to try and murder him as well. Nobody was gonna let that happen. J saw everyone who interfered as a threat, and tried to kill us all. Luckily, he didn't succeed and we ended up beating him, but that's just the beginning. There's still three more beings that are like J, but they're much more powerful. That is why we must unite in this dire time." The image of Oron went back into my body and I gazed into the eyes of the teenager. "....And there you go. Here is your chance now to leave. You might die, if you decide to stay, but if you walk away, you won't have as great of a risk of being killed by the Guardians. Do you understand?"

I was speechless for a while. Did a see-through man just come out of him? I asked myself, then straightened up. "Heh... I'm not scared of some Guardians. I'll help you guys. You could use it, right? Besides, these guys sound like they'd threaten the world, not just all of you. Either way I'd possibly die, right? Might as well go down with a fight." I told the others. Looked like this was my chance to finally put my sword training to the test.

-Sayo-

I gave a slight nod. It looks like we had some hard competition in fighting. I turned to Kaze and gave a slight smile.

"I am Sayoko...but everyone perfers to call me Sayo, I was about your age when the first guardian wad defeated. You don't know what your getting yourself into, so I suggest you start figuring out what's going on. And don't get on my bad side, kay?" I said the last part a bit happily.

I was truthful, nobody wants to get on my bad side. That will lead to life or death in the end.
