I have Haunter who can use Hypnosis Right now I've managed to severely weaken Lugia but I have one Pokemon left And if my last Ultra Ball fails I have to start the fight again
January 20, 201312 yr I got him on paralyzed with around a very few HP left. I used Ampharos, with Static it should be easy I caught that son of a witch with a damned luxury ball after wasting 32 ultra balls and half an hour of my life.
January 20, 201312 yr Get it down to red and try to either get it paralyzed or sleeping. After that chuck pokeballs at it until it's caught. Don't use a master ball! Save it for later.
January 20, 201312 yr I have Haunter who can use Hypnosis Right now I've managed to severely weaken Lugia but I have one Pokemon left And if my last Ultra Ball fails I have to start the fight again Well it's a bit difficult like that Don't you have Ampharos?
January 20, 201312 yr Well in the end its a game of luck. Of course you can greatly increase your chances by lowering its HP as far as you can without fainting it, and using high multiplier pokeballs. I wouldn't recommend using your Masterball, but I sometimes like to capture the main legendary of the game in it for aesthetic purposes, but that's just me. The best balls would be Dusk balls since you're in a cave area, but Ultra balls are helpfull as well (I don't like the way the dusk ball looks, but again that's just me). If you have the patience to play around with putting Lugia to sleep through Hypnosis you can, as it does increase your chances more than the other common status ailments, but I find paralysis more practical since its permanent and is a bit easier to induce (Hypnosis has pretty poor accuracy). I'm sure you saved the game before engaging him, so be sure to soft reset appropriately. Stay strong, it can be frustrating, but in the end its worth it.
