VisitJoan 2,713 Posted February 4, 2013 For the basic hiragana and katakana, it's just like learning ABC's, but it's a little simpler because the sounds are the same as their names. 1 Roy reacted to this

khoathkeeper13 429 Posted February 4, 2013 Konnichiwa = good afternoon Ohaiyo = good morning Sayonara = good bye Oishii = delicious /lesson end There's this game called My Japanese Coach for the DS. It's got quite a bit of vocab and all the hiragana and katakana in it. There's games and flash card-like things on it. I suggest getting that if you have a DS. khoathkeeper13 429 Posted February 4, 2013 i actually started learning over the summer but i got lazy and im just like "they have japanese classes in high school so i'll wait" What school is this? I wanna go! D: My school has Spanish and they just stopped offering French because we're that poor. So I have to wait til college. T_T I have to be forced into a class room to actually learn anything too. I lose the motivation to learn on my own after a few days.
Roy 137 Posted February 4, 2013 I feel the same...We still have french classes...which I'm going to...I learn better in physical teaching...if I'm taught virtual I'd most likely doze off...alot.

Weiss 8,279 Posted February 4, 2013 All you need to know is Oishii means delicious. Welp, there are many sites for it and some have already been suggested. You could also get books to help you learn off of ebay/Amazon or at a local store (if you're lucky). And if you really have the dispendable money you can get a tutor for it. Websites or books is probably your best bet though. Good luck with learning^^
