I know Square Enix are still going through their mobile craze (releasing all the old Final Fantasy games on portable devices). But I think this would be pretty awesome.

 

Final Fantasy collections for the PlayStation 3.

 

Final Fantasy Collection VI (It would be called something better than this, but you get the point.)

 

The first collection would have the first six games (I - VI) of the Final Fantasy series. They would be using the PlayStation One ports and remaster them to the best of their ability to ensure they look and sound as good as possible. They could even make improvements to the games if needed. 

 

Final Fantasy Collection IX

 

This second collection would include VII, VIII and IX. They could even record voice acting for these three. And make other improvements.

 

And finally:

 

Final Fantasy HD Collection XII

 

This would include X, X-2 and XII remastered in HD. With some improvements like improving the voice/lip sync in X.

 

 

 

Sure, thanks to Blu-ray's incredible capacity they could easily fit the first nine in one. But really, would Square Enix do that? Cost wise it's much better to do it this way.

 

Sure remakes would be better, but is Square Enix going to remake all of them? I seriously doubt it. We'll be lucky to get VII.

Sounds interesting. I'd like them to do it since some are still quite difficult to get a hold of. We'll see though.

They've just never really been a fan of Microsoft. They started with Nintendo moved to PlayStation asap and focused on PlayStation with Nintendo on the side.

It's lucky to have what it does have in my opinion. In my opinion they only released FF XI on the 360 because the PS2 wasn't truly capable of it. And again in my opinion they only released XIII, XIII-2 and soon Lightning Returns to the 360 to cash in on the 360 as for the past six years the 360 had better marketing.

If only my friend didn't have a xbox I'd have a ps3 But Ps3 is a Sony product and Sony is Japan and Square Enix is also so they think on the Japan side of things and what not so that's my guess also as to why they mainly release for that.

Couldn't care less, to be honest. If it was on an Xbox, yes, I would easily buy 1-6. But Square seems to dislike the 360, so...

I instantly second this. Those were some awesome games, I'd actually love to see some improvements so to say .__.

I'd love that. I don't have a PS3 myself, but if they were to release such collection I'd buy it instantly. It's VERY hard to find these old FF games, so I don't know the series as I should, so this collection would pretty much solve my problems.

It would take a while though, to make all the games, and if the rumors around PS4 are true, they'd probably make it for this new console.

What? I know the games are already made, I meant the Remastering could take a while. I even said it was hard to find the old original games.

10 should be with 7,8,9 mainly because it's a square-soft game.

It would be nice, but Square Enix is never going to go for that.  They'll want to release everything on their own independent discs so they can make more money off the endeavor; I can't imagine they'd be nice enough to us that they'd condense it all into three collections.  I would love it though, namely Collection VI.

 

And, actually, I think VII would be on a disc on its own.  It's got too big of a reputation to be grouped with less-known FFs, y'know?

 

It's really hard to say which Final Fantasys will end up with a remake.  I mean, I would quickly assume the games with larger reputations would be remade first, but then someone needs to explain to me why FF3 and 4 were remade for the DS.  I  mean seriously, out of all the games, why choose 3 and 4?  Don't get me wrong, I like both games (well, except 3, for obvious reasons), but I don't understand why they'd remake those instead of V and VI or VI and VII--except that it was easier.

 

This would be awesome though.  I'd sure as heck buy it so long as it's not for the PS4.
