So once again I'm astounded at the decisions made by whoever runs the dining department at my school.  I just got back from dinner, which as I said before is all you can eat.  I got there just before the dinning center closed, but they still let me in and I was still served.  While I was eating, my friend (who works there) said that they were trying to get everyone out.  I asked her if they would yell at me for taking my food out and she said because it's considered steeling, the supervisors would not let me take my food out.  So let me get this right.  They take $7 from my meal plain, give me food, and then want me to leave without the food that I paid for even though it would just be thrown away.  And this is the same bunch who want to reduce food waste.  You're kidding me with this right?  I did get to stay and finish my meal, but I can't help but wonder why people think it's okay to pull these hair brained moves.

I worked at a deli and restaurants are normally like this.  People can come in one minute before close and the employees will have to wait until they have finished eating and have left before closing.  However, a worker should never tell their customer that they want them to leave.  It's unprofessional and rude.

I'm laughing so hard right now.  That's just insane!  They make you pay for the meal, yet want you to leave without eating it and won't let you take it with you AND they're concerned about food waste?!  Ohhh, they sooo need to figure out what their trying to accomplish here, since they're actions are really contradicting their concern.

What really gets me is that they say it's steeling. I understand them not wanting to us to carry out food and give ti to someone who didn't pay, but taking your food that you paid for out with you because they want you to leave - how in the world is that steeling?
