1) Jenova is a creature that crashed on Earth long ago.

2)Aeris is an Ancient - a race of humans existing around the time Jenova hit Earth,

3)Sephiroth Killed her because as an Ancient, she is capable of using the powerful spell 'Holy' which counters the Black Materia that Sephiroth uses to summon Meteor (which would wipe out humanity)

4) Jenova is NOT Sephiroth's mother - Lucretia is Sephiroth's mother (Hojo the father) and he had Jenova cells implanted into him during the foetal stage of the pregnancy (technically making him Vincent's brother)

5) Cloud learned to open up and began to care about others during his time with Avalanche. He also held a grudge against Shinra due to Zack's memories he mistook for his own. In learning/beginning to think his memories were false and Aeris' murder, he remained with Avalanche to avenge Aeris, discover the truth about himself and save his friends along with mankind.

6) Advent Children is the film following the events of FFVII. At the end of FFVII Sephiroth disappears into the Lifestream (the planet's lifeforce) and the film is about how this affects the world, and how he intends to return to finish what he started in FFVII.

9) Cloud's appearance as a whole is pretty different in KH1, and there seems to be little/no logic to explain the changes. He uses the Buster blade Zack gave him aat the end of Crisis Core in KHI, But in KHII his appearance is that which we see in Advent Children - his sword is the one made up of 7 swords also from the film rather than the buster, and my only guess is that the bandages are either to follow the trend set by KHI, or to suppress his power and keep the blades together.

10) Geo Stigma is a disease/illness caused by Sephiroth's concious presence in the Lifestream  that slowly degrades the body of the victim. It can be healed by either bathing and drinking directly from the Lifestream (in the Forgotten City - Ironically where Aeris' body lies) or by ultimately defeating Sephiroth. 

11) After the game everyone splits up as Shinra seems to fall apart following the damage caused by Weapon to their HQ and the 'apparent death' of Rufus Shinra (survives to see Advent Children) and therefore there is no need for the Rebel faction Avalanche to oppose them. Hojo created Sephiroth, not Ghast. Ghast was only Vincent's biological father - Hojo fathered and mapped the Jenova cells onto Sephiroth whilst Lucretia was pregnant with him. This is displayed in a cutscene in Dirge of Cerberus whilst Vincent was serving in the Turks.

that's a controversial one. It is pretty confusing given that Sephiroth was indeed crystallised until the final events of FFVII - but I'd say it's a little wild to assume it was Jenova..... headless Jenova...... I'd say it's more likely Sephiroth's will acting through the LifeStream than anything!

1) Jenova is a being that crashed on Gaia thousands of years prior to the game.  It was discovered by scientists and believed to be an Ancient.  Therefore, it was infused into several humans in an experimentation to revive the race of the Ancients.  However, it was later discovered that Jenova was actually a race that traveled the cosmos, landing on planets and consuming them before moving onto the next one to consume.  It was a mistake trying to infuse Jenova cells into humans, for it inevitably turned them into monsters.

 

2) It is said that only Ancients can find the Promised Land, which is why Aerith is believed to be the only one that could get there.  (Aerith/Aeris is a descendant of the Ancients.)

 

3) Sephiroth killed Aerith because she was trying to use Holy.  In addition, I don't think Aerith would've/could've led Sephiroth to the Holy Land, even if he knew she could.

No, Vincent's just kind of traveling around the world; I don't believe he ever goes back to his coffin again.
