Atlus’ new Devil Survivor 2 game project has been revealed at a preview event for the upcoming Devil Survivor 2 anime, according to attendees. As suspected, the new game will be an updated version of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2, and is headed to the Nintendo 3DS. The game will be titled Devil Survivor 2: Break Code. Devil Survivor 2: Break Code will come with new characters and story elements. The game will be officially announced via the March 28th issue of Famitsu magazine.

Yessssss. Devil survivor being one of my favorite smt sub-series, I cannot wait for this.

Atlus has shared some information about the title.

Apparently it will be released (in Japan) sometime this summer. It will have voice work and anime sequences. Kou Yoshinari, better known as Valkyrie profile series animator, will be doing the illustration. There will be a new female character. And there will also be a casual mode for the game.

Devil Survivor 2: Break Record has been reported for a July 11th release in Japan. No word on the outside Japan release dates yet.

 

UPDATE: The game has been moved down to a Fall 2013 release unfortunately. Hopefully this means more work going into it.
