MY War on criticism further explained

Posted
As such, I keep getting all these complaints from people saying things like "michael bay destroyed my childhood" Guys chillax, its just a FREAKING movie for gawd's sake! michael bay's Transformers HAS NOTHING To do with the Transformers you grew up with, its a completely Alternate Universe, and you can just pretend it doesn't exist, just don't obsess over it! Even if you do c a bad movie, then tough luck, you WILL get over it and forget about it, I mean hey at least with Hurt Locker i learned how NOT to make a movie. In life you do realize that EVERYTHING you do, theres ALWAYS gonna be someone thats gonna love what you do and someone who is gonna HATE it, even if its very minor and trivial. There REALLY is no such thing as Good or Bad. It all depends on your views. Of course, if you do disagree with God's words and the Laws, you will get punished, but God and the Law are just people like you. Sure, they r supremely powerful, but still, you can always rebel against them. Just know that if you do there will be consequences like you said abotu the film industry.

No, don;t get me wrong I love movies and I am in the stages of trying to not be obsessed over them as much, but thats the thing. With idiots obsessing and letting themselves get controlled over movies-

Well, i guess the easiest way for me to explain this is that I met this firetrucking bustard fat firetrucker in high school and he ALWAYS sent by what reviews said, and that got me REALLY annoyed. To top it off, it would seem like people even my own little brother ALWAYS going by what RT says about movies, and it REALLY annoys me.

Yes, perhaps i am too sensitive, and i am too much into it, but i am also sad because I REALLY liked a lotta movies that people HATE:

Thomas the tank engine - I grew up with this guy, my oldest friend and EVERYONE HATED him ,even at the age they were supposed to like him.

Eragon - Yes i no they raped the book, but I LOVED the movie soooooo much better than the book and I just naturally thoguht that they would make ALL book adapatations books into movies because they did that with:
Harry Potter
LOTR
Narnia
Twilight
SisterHood of Travelling Pants (kinda)
Hunger Games
PErcy Jackson
James Bond

But those aside and you can correct me, THEY NEVER make more than one movie based on a book in the series which is WHY I REALLY want them to continue with Percy. I was so upset with no Eldest onwards :(

Because to be hoenst, i just loved Eragon for the dragons. If they didn't have them I wouldn't bother. I just find books like that better told visually. Sure Eragon wasn't my top favourite, but i do like it better than LOTR and i don't think its fair that fans of the book have to be left out. Like i said b4, ideally it would be better to have a different version of the book told onscreen, i mean from what i heard Jurassic park 1 & 2 r so VERY different from the book, same with Jaws, and yet no one seemed to mind them, liking them bETTER than the book. HBP was the most unloyal HP, and yet it was one of the highest praise out of all of them.

In short, it just breaks my heart that people would let themselves be controlled. Because i mean, how do you know its a bad/good movie if someone else tells you? EVERYONE i know that saw Eragon said it sucked, and I LOVED it waaaaay better than the book! People said Bridesmaids was AWSOME, and i thoguht it SUCKED big time! Same with the hurt locker. IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU AND WHATS IN YOUR PATRICIER! EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! Sure, if you know a person, you can tell them what you would think THEY would like, but how do you know people haven't changed? People change EVERY day in some form or another, and opinions change overtime. A guy i know said he loved The Dark Knight the first time he saw it, then later said "it gets worse the more you watch it".

Consider my ideas, and think about them for a sec. Why not be free and not think or get too much into them? I can only do that if others can too.

(Sighes) just had to get this all outta my head :)

people hated harry potter and lotr? I know some people hated them of course but I assume you're talking about a lot of people if you made a topic for it? But yeah, some people don't like some movies that others do. Can't be helped.

oh LOL no i just meant those WERE the ONLY book adapatations where they did all of them. Like Eragon and Inkheart and Lemony snicket remained discontinued. (even thoguh Snicket DID do pretty well - it won an oscar for make up for christ''s sake!) And with HBP, it was the most unloyal Harry potter to the book, but its like the 3 or 4th highest critically rated and the 5th highest grossing Harry, not to mention more people i no said they like HBP as a movie better than the Ootp movie.

And u r right about ur last line, which is ok, but whats NOT ok is one letting another control their opinions. All hearts should be Free

(c my other reply) To be honest i'm not a huge Bond fan. well, i do like him but i'm NOT a REALLY big fan like i am with KH. But it is good, i LOVED Skyfall and who does't LOVE Goldeneye for N64? But ya i like the Daniel Craigs and the goldeneye game, but i'm not really a big bond fan in general, but the newer ones fit into my Patricier, as Bond is a HUGE part of my familys Patricier, they all LOVE the Bonds! Its just an example of how they r some of the only few book adapatations made into movies (even though most of them are not based on actual books)

Like  i said nothing wrong with actual opinion but do not ruin it for others. And btw i love ur flame retartend suit and popcorn thing, LOL made my day! And it makes me think of Axel/Lea one of the best KH guys around! I immeadeitly thoguht of it when i saw ur comment

The whole point of a conversation between people is the exchange of ideas: if we wanted to keep our ideas to ourselves, we wouldn't bother speaking at all. It's human nature to want to not only have other people hear what you have to say, but to hear what they think as well. A review is basically just that: one person trying to communicate with others about their thoughts regarding a piece of art, and people read and listen because they want to engage in this flow of information.

Also, I personally believe that it does us good to occasionally encounter opinions that differ from our own. If nothing else, it helps us view the world from different angles and understand different ways of thinking, rather than remaining hemmed into one line of vision and thought.

"Boy I hate it when people criticize things! You know what I should do?! Criticize those people!! That's not hypocritical at all!"
