We've all got that one game or series that we hold dearly to our hearts...yet it seems to go severely unnoticed and underrated.

What exactly is the one game that you think is the most underrated, and almost no one notices it due to few reviews and little advertising done for the game?

 

For me, it would be Tales of the Abyss. Sure, if you ask most people here, they would know what it is, and probably go off on a tangent about how amazing the game is. (Much like me.) But when it comes to the people I know in real-life...I'm the only one who's ever played it, as far as I'm concerned.

 

 

I miss Dark Cloud and Megaman battle network/starforce, and Disgaea!

In Europe there just 3900 registered online player   in the D4.

Peoples. Its a wonderful gameseries!

 

here the RPGs(not just a game or gameseries) I see always War,and Violent games, but rrrraaarely RPGS. or JRPGS 

And KH I can't get KH stuff in my country.

The Kingdom Hearts series to me is underrated. There is no TV show for it, no toys, only accessories, not many people that I know don't even know what it is, and in Walt Disney World, there are no characters for character greeting, any attractions in the park, and no characters in the parade. The only thing I saw KH in the parks was in a game store in Downtown Disney BbS being sold for $35.

The F-zero series, it's widely overlooked by a ton of nintendo fans (and racing game fans)

Yoshi Story, really fun platformer

SHENMUE, favorite dreamcast game and a technical achievement back then

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, all you do is hit a drum....but it's super fun

Silent Bomber, really good ps1 game

Panzer Dragoon games, so expensive now

A lot of Sega Saturn games

A lot of Dreamcast games

I could go on and on

By that logic 98% of games are underrated

Another thing I find underrated:

 

Rune Factory: A fantasy Harvest Moon. I had never heard of the series before I saw the third one in an issue of Nintendo Power, and it still took me months before I actually got the game.

 

I found the game to be wonderful though, so if you like a blend of farming/dating sim with action RPGing, then you should definitely check out the series.

The Earthbound/Mother series:

 

Its an amazing RPG series by Nintendo, which is actually a really dark series for Nintendo. :| But its also expresses the concepts of Love, Courage, and Friendship too.

 

Its really such a shame that only one of the games got released here, and the rest didn't. Nintendo screwed up the marketing production of the game, and now we're never gonna get it. It's EXTREMELY POPULAR in Japan though. And because of other Copyright issues, we're not gonna get it on VC either.

 

So few people know about this game, and even though the fan base continues to grow today, still it seems few people know about it.
