to experiment with the Replica system. But i think finding Ven was the main intention.

Exactly. Perhaps there was still a bit of Terra inside to have the feelings for Ventus. And of course to study the heart and its mysteries morefully.

I think he also wants to gain so-called complete power and knowledge from the hearts the orgy collected (like the one he experienced when first invented 'hearts')

I still confused on that concept in the walkthrough the last episodes Aqua encounters the Terra with white hair, who then stab himself with M.Xehanorts keyblade and a creature like that of Heartless Ansem (KH1) shadow or something come out of his heart, but idk who it was (Terra or Xehanort)

 

So it gets confusing. But as also learned in last episode 1 i believe it shows Aqua changing the form of Land of Departure into Castle Oblivion.

Xemnas has main motive to find Ven, this is why i think why>

Xemnas is M. Xehanort and wants Ven to recreate X-Blade, doubt he would succed, but then there is the armor you fight in KH2 as we all know is Terra's armor, and you see in Terra Last boss you fight as his armor but fight (Yourself?) White Haired Terra and confusing there, then there is scene with Terra and M.X. talkign about Eraqus or something and idk, Braig was only reason (NO M here) Xehanort did the experiments,Braig had grudge or something with (M. X. from now on) how else you think Xigbar is number II.
