Alright, not sure if this is exactly the right site to put this on, but I've had these thought up for a while, and wanted to get them out. Since I can't really film anything (And a friend is borrowing my copy of the game in #2) I've decided to put them up here. I might put up a video related to my choices, also. Anyway, just a disclaimer. This is my opinion. You might not agree with what I have on here, but this is my list. Make your own if you don't like it. I'm okay with people discussing, just please keep discussions appropriate for the topic. Secondly, I haven't played every game on the system. There could be games that would be on here if I'd played them, since there are a lot more DS games I'd like to play. Finally, I'm keeping a strict one game per series rule here. Only exception to this rule is side-games, although there's only one of those on here. Now, without further ado, let's-a go!

10: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Alright, everyone should know how legendary the Zelda series is, so I'll skip over that. Anyway, Phantom Hourglass was the second Zelda game I'd ever played, having rented it from Blockbuster a few years back. I loved the game. I don't think I've ever played a rented game as much as I did PH. The touch screen controls are great, and this game had a lot of memorable moments. It was also the game that introduced me to modern Zelda games. I managed to get a copy for myself recently, and I still love it.

9: Kirby Super Star Ultra

Similarly to Phantom Hourglass, this was the second Kirby game I played (Unless I'm forgetting something). This game is pretty much about 10 small-ish games in one. The gameplay's still your usual Kirby fun, for the most part. This game is actually a DS remake of the original Super Star for the SNES, which was recently re-released in Kirby's Dream Collection. However, I'd still recommend this DS version, as it adds in a few new games, some new minigames, and some new unlockable videos. A lot of the games in this are classics.

8: Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies

I remember back when I first read about this game in Nintendo Power (RIP, by the way). I'd never played a DQ game before, but was instantly fascinated by the concept, and really wanted it. Sadly, I never got the game until earlier this year. Despite this, it's still made it onto my top 10. For anyone that doesn't know what DQ is, it's a game originally developed by Enix. The games are known for their simple yet fun gameplay and humor. This game doesn't disappoint in those two departments, either. It also has an extensive online feature, and a ton of postgame fun. I'd highly recommend it for any RPG fan.

7: Pokemon White Version 2

I've loved Pokemon since I was a kid. Generation V was my fourth favorite when B/W came out, but with the release of B2/W2, it jumped up to 2nd favorite. This game shows how far the series has come since its start. The story and character development are phenomenal compared to previous games. Add in a ton of postgame content, and you've got one of the best Pokemon games released yet. Can't wait for X/Y, by the way!

6: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness

The Pokemon games were always about humans catching and competing with each other. Until Mystery Dungeon: Red/Blue Rescue Team came out, that is. The sequel to these two, Explorers of Darkness/Time/Sky, are even better (I have Darkness, so that's the one I'm listing). It has traditional Mystery Dungeon gameplay, nothing too special. Where the game really excels is in its storyline. One day, you, the player, wakes up as a Pokemon. Throughout the game, you learn more about this strange happening, and learn a lot of shocking twists. The game's ending is also memorable. (Also, Japanese Trailer was what I could find. Sorry. :)

5: Drawn to Life

I always loved the idea of this game's concept. A game where you draw your character and parts of the environment? Who wouldn't want that? However, as cool as this concept is, I eventually found the story was the big hitter with this game. Basically, a village is being engulfed in darkness, and the Creator sends a hero (The player) in order to protect it. Once again, a lot of memorable moments, and some great music. The second game was good, but it didn't come close to this one. Also, still hoping for DtL3.

4: Elite Beat Agents

Oh, where do I start on this game. This was probably the first DS game I ever played, as a friend's copy. To describe this game, you assist a government agency who's job is to help people with various tasks through the power of music. This game is incredibly humor-filled. The gameplay is where the game really shines. Since I really don't know how to describe it, I'll include a video of the first level (I don't believe this game ever had a trailer anyway. It was really under-advertised)

3: Final Fantasy IV

Just putting it out there: FFIV is my favorite game in the series. Everything was just so... well done. While the DS version isn't the best version to get (I recommend the PSP version, personally), it was still a great remake. It added a lot of new content while still keeping the original feeling. I'll just... let the intro video speak for itself.

2: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

This was to be expected on a KH website. If you couldn't tell by my username (And the fact that I'm on this site), I absolutely love KH, and Organization XIII was by far my favorite villain organization. A game about them definitely interested me. When I got the game, I found that the gameplay wasn't quite as good as other KH games, but the story was the best. I really liked following Roxas, Axel, and Xions' days in the Organization. It felt easy to relate to: It was pretty much three friends helping each other out and eating ice cream together. That's what made the ending so emotional. As I said before, this game has my favorite storyline in the series. Can't wait until 1.5 comes out so I can see the scenes in HD!

And, finally we come to #1. But first, I'd like to mention that Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, Pokemon Soulsilver, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, and Pokemon Conquest are all honorable mentions. Other games in their respective series managed to beat them out, but the first three were considered, and Conquest was definitely a close second for Pokemon side-games. Anyway, with those out of the way, time to get on to number 1... Some music is necessary, so here we go!

1: The World Ends With You

Once again, I dunno where to start with this one. This is by far my favorite game ever (Well, I wouldn't say by far since KH1 comes close, but hey, it's my favorite). The music, story, characters, gameplay... All of it is absolutely perfect. I think the reason it all works so well is the pacing. The game is fast paced, which really helps with the story and overall feel. Not to mention all the questions racing through the player's head. What is the Reaper's Game? Who's behind it? Why am I here? Where can I get headphones like Neku's? I was really attached to this game, and I love it. I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a good DS game.

Well, that concludes my Top 10 DS game list. (Geez, that took longer than I'd expected. It was fun, though! :D) Feel free to comment on it and stuff.

As I said at the start, I haven't played every DS game out there. I'm very interested in Ace Attorney, just haven't gotten around to playing it. Speaking of which, which version's better, DS or Wiiware? Just curious for when I'm able to get them.

Great list buddy ^_^

My list is a little bit different though:

10New Super Mario Bros DS

9Mario Party DS

8Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates(The game is great but the ending sucks)

7Sonic Rush

6Mario Kart DS

5Yu gi oh World Championship 2008

4Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

3Kirby Superstar Ultra

2Kingdom Hearts 3582 Days & The World Ends with You

1Pokemon SoulSilver and Black & White 1&2 (I just couldn't stop playing Pokemon for years....it's sooooo much fun)

Alright, thanks for the recommendation! I've heard that the series is really good, I've been excited to play it.

I've played a few of those (Obviously the ones that are also in mine :P) Pokemon's possibly my second favorite game series, right after Kingdom Hearts (It's competing with Final Fantasy for that). They're by far some of the most fun games I've ever played!

Good list. Wish I saw Golden Sun though. lol

As I told Severe, I haven't played all DS games. I've heard a lot about that one, though.

My top 10 games were (in no particular order)

Pokemon Soul Silver,

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days,

Animal Crossing Wild World,

Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light,

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon,

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded,

Big Bang Mini,

Prof. Layton (any of the games),

Super Scribblenauts,

Golden Sun.

I'd add Pokemon Diamond/White(2), NSMB, Tetris and Mario Kart to that list but eh they fall short.
