Man 2: ''Yeah, hard to believe he is only 17''

 

(Man 1 lights a cigar)

 

Man 1: ''You have his files''

 

Man 2: ''Like i promised''

 

(Man 2 gives man 1 the files. Man 1's eyes grow more in shock as he reads the files)

 

Man 1: ''Oh god....'' (Man 1 drops files on the ground)

 

(Camera closes up to files as this is seen)

This isn't a story, it's a script. (At least it looks like one.)

It is script writing style which in some cases such as this can turn out very well.

As for this, for an idea it's alright. It has good grammar and punctuation. I do think instead of referring them to Man 1 and Man 2 you could refer to them as the first man and the second man. It makes it sound a bit better. I also have no idea where you're going with this story especially after the Godzilla part so I can't say much for the plot even though it's a teaser.

Personally, I think the "script" style is a lazy form of writing unless you are actually planning out and filmig a movie or something. Alas, I can't force someone to not write this way, unfortunately.

are you planning on writing this in story form? 'Cause then i wouldn't advise using terms like "camera closes up", but if you plan on using script form like every post above mine says, then it seems good to me
