Sorry if this is already a topic, but do you think we'll be able to play as other characters in KHIII? I'd love to play as Kairi and King Mickey or whatever. I'm not talking about a "drop feature" or something. Just in general, do you think we'd get to choose to play as other characters? I wouldn't imagine so, because of the way KH and KHII was, but I'd like something like that. I also know it's coming out a long time from now and all that, but just a question :)

well we were able to play as riku, micky, and Roxas in kh2 so it would make sense that we would.....

Who knows. It's really up to Nomura and the KH team if they deiced to have all the other characters playable or not.

That is something I've theorized. I'm thinking of something like the party system but you'll get to choose your party members and the member you control (as in being able to play as Kairi with Sora and Mickey as party members).

I hope not.

I really, really hope not.

I REALLY want it to be what Versus is doing, like you can choose who is in the party and who in the party you control, but if the main character dies ( in this case Sora) then its game over.

If it works like that i would be SOOOO happy :P I hope it like that. Wouldnt any of you want that ?

We were only able to play as Roxas for back story, and Mickey when Sora died in a boss battle. We didn't get to play as Riku, he was only a party member. They weren't main characters you play as.

Those two things actually sound really good! I hope something like this happens I'd be pretty happy haha. It gets kind of boring just playing as Sora sometimes. It'd be interesting to spice things up a bit.

Another good idea would be to have different commands and combos for each where you can customize each party members attack pattern and stuff.

you get to play as riku in the kh2 final boss

My idea.

of course, as weiss proposed, we should create our own teams.

Well what if we have the similar thing, but we can switch control to the other party member, so we don't have to play as sora all the time?

and we can level each character up individually?

And we should have something like what DDD did... force us to take control of specific characters to progress the story? such as if Sora defeats a boss, instead of continuing as Sora, switch it out, and give us someone else to control.

That would be cool.

I WANTS TO PLAY AS LEA WITH HIS KEYBLADE AND CHAKRAMS AT THE SAME TIME! :D

Ahh, I forgot about that. Either way, it's for such a short time. He isn't a major playable character in II though.

I'm not really a fan of the Drop system, or switching characters to continue their storyline. I'd rather have a customizable team haha. I wouldn't mind what they did is BbS, where you take on each character at a time (or however that system goes, I've yet to play it :( )

I think they're going to make most of the lights, if not all, playable at the Keyblade Graveyard. A likely possibility.

What I want to see is where you can change which party member you control in the middle of battle, kind of like in the Lego games.

Possibly, but if we get to play as other characters I hope they keep the segments short. I don't mind what they did in KH2 where we had a short scenario with Roxas, played as Riku for a moment, and Mickey sometimes when you died, but I'm not a fan of the large scenarios like in BbS and 3D. It's cool in theory but I don't think KH does it well. It's makes gameplay more interesting but at the sacrifice of the writing.

I'd love an interchangeable Sora/Riku/Kairi/Lea

I would also Love to see them have different parts of the game where the game allows you to choose who to play as and you play as that character for the time being until something happens. let it be a cut scene, boss battle, etc.

Considering we wont play like we did as Roxas in KH2(because that was a prequel to the actual game, and the title KH2 appeared before Sora woke up). I think we will just use different characters like we did Riku in KH2(but of course, for a full battle against the Org. members).
