Information

Kingdom Hearts coded (??????????????) is the fourth released game in the Kingdom Hearts series, currently available for docomo PRIME series P-01A phones in Japan. Unlike other games, Coded is released in an episodic format. This means that instead of the entire game becoming available, only a few episodes are released at a time.

The first two episodes, "Olympus Coliseum -SIDE EPISODE-" and "Traverse Town -SPECIAL EDIT VERSION- (Upgrade)" were released on November 18, 2008 in Japan. On June 3, 2009, Episode 1 was released. On July 8, 2009, Episode 2 was released. On August 5, 2009, Episode 3 was released. On September 17, 2009, Episode 4 was released. On October 15, 2009, Episode 5 was released.

Coded is the direct sequel to Kingdom Hearts II. It follows the story of King Mickey using a data version of Sora to try and solve a mystery in Jiminy's journal.

The theme song of Coded is Destati, which is composed by Yoko Shimomura. Other music in the game is also composed by Yoko Shimomura.

Coded was developed by Square Enix. It was directed by Tetsuya Nomura, and written by Daisuke Watanabe.

Story

The game begins with Jiminy Cricket organizing his journal in Disney Castle. As he is arranging the records, he notices a message in the journal that he did not write, "We must return to free them from their torment". To investigate the source of the message, King Mickey digitized the contents of the journal and turned Sora into data form, so that he would be able to travel across worlds in the journal and investigate.

Sora is watched as he relives the journal entries by King Mickey and the others. In the journal, Sora encounters a man in an Organization XIII coat. Later, as King Mickey and the others are watching Sora on the computer screen, two new videos of Riku and Pluto are shown. Heartless attack the castle, and King Mickey destroys them. King Mickey and the others attempt to flee the castle, but find that the door is locked.

Later, it is revealed that King Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Jiminy Cricket are also trapped inside the journal, and Chip and Dale are trying to contact them. Also, the mysterious cloaked figure is revealed to be Riku.

Kingdom Hearts coded, English confirmation.

Kingdom Hearts coded is a Kingdom Hearts title that has recently been released in Japan. In Japan, the game was distributed in the form of downloadable episodes for Japanese phones. Due to these phones not being available elsewhere, there is much speculation about whether or not coded will make it to North America and other English speaking regions.

KH13.com have emailed the voice actor of Jiminy Cricket, which you can see here. Although this does not confirm coded, it shows that the content from coded will appear in English in one way or another. This could be in the form of some kind of English release of the game, or the content could appear in another form, such as a part of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. This is all speculation, but we can be sure coded's content will appear in English.
