i wanted to spend my alowence on an ocarina of time replica. but my dad thinks ocarinas are just toys for some reason. there musical instraments. and i'm not one of those people who just use instraments as a toy. i actually want to learn how to play the ocarina but i cant now becouse my dad thinks it nonsense. i WORKED for my alowence and he tells me what i can and cant buy? thats totally unfair! when i work for my money i want to be able to spend it on whatever i want. i want an ocarina but NOOOOOO! my dad said i should be into more "modern" music. but he listens to greek music from the 60s. and I'M into old music. not to mention that he never lets me buy video games either becouse he thinks its also nonsense and that i have enough. i would like for you too tell me what you think of this and if you agree with me then pls tell me how i can solve this.

If it's your money and you have it in your bank account/wallet, go out and buy it.  If your fathers refusing to give you the money for it you just have to deal with it, or otherwise get a job and grab it yourself.  There's no other real option unless you believe asking your mother separately could result in a yes.

Your Dad sounds kind of like an asshole. Unless there's a precedent for you buying musical instruments and not actually using them, in which case he's just trying to keep you from wasting money. In either case, it's your allowance, and you should be allowed to buy whatever you want with it... tell him that, and also explain that it's not a toy. If it doesn't work, oh well, and if it does, yay.

My dad is insane. he tells me not to buy things when it's my money. I still buy it.

If you get the ocarina it sounds like your dad will be very unhappy to say the least, you did earn the money. But alas my parents are the same, even though i have a job make my own money i still have to follow their guidelines in "their house" whether it be using my money wisely or silly things that they need to learn need to change. But your parents do have the right to deny you something. But if he said yes to begin with and now no lol he must be so unsure of himself that he's lost in his own confusion and blames someone else. Well do you need an ocarina? I'd just save my money more and put it aside for a later date if i were you.
