Day 1

I slipped the key into its whole and opened the door. It was a rather expansive, modern living room with a kitchen behind a doorway and a flight of stairs that led up to the bathrooms. A pair of doors on the other side of the stairs were the changing rooms leading to their own sides of the hot spring behind the house. "Alright." I said to everyone. Let's head upstairs and unpack. Then we have two options: chill here and get settled; or get changed and hit the beach."

"I think I've got a snack somewhere, Kurai-chan." I said. Reaching over the edge of the couch into my bag, I pulled out a granola bar. "How 'bout this?" I asked, holding out the wrapped sustenance. Those things could be surprisingly filling sometimes. I tossed it to her. I had finished a chapter in Nothing Lost Nothing Found so I started half a sentence of the next chapter before turning back towards the front of my BBC and continued on Riders. Bath scene.

How awkward could I make this? I wondered. Meh, I was being mean enough to Robin at this point in the story.

I stared blankly at the Granola Bar. Quaker Oat something odd...stupid chocolate kind. I only eat these when I'm really desprate for food. I carefully removed the wrapper, quickly standing up and thowing the wrapper away.

I bit into the frimilar-tasting stuff. It seriously taste terrible to me anyway. Who cares? I practically was clinged to Sikota's side now, looking at his story.

"Thank you Sikota." I said after I got about half way through the treat.

I lifted my head out of the book I was reading."Sorry,I was reading..if you want food I can cook, pasta or pizza or something like that." She and went back to the book she had been reading.

"I'll make dinner when I'm cleaned up,okay?" She asked not taking her eyes out of the book.

(Sorry guys~)

I more or less ignored Sora's statement. Kurai hovering over my shoulder as I was writing wasn't the least bit annoying as it would be to most. It was comforting even. "Ne, Kurai-chan, what kind of dragons do you think I should give to the jerk prince's possy?" I wasn't very close to even introducing Prince Trevor yet but it would be interesting. Funnily enough the prince's dragon's name would be Xaon. I'd have to find names for characters from the people here...

My shower lasted 15 minutes. I had turned up the hot water all the way. I hope there isn't some kind of reservoir I'm using up or something. I dried myself and combed my hair, put on some pajama pants and an undershirt (my sleeping uniform), and went back downstairs. "Shower's open. Does anybody mind me wearing this? I don't want to make anybody uncomfortable." I picked up my laptop and sat down again. I had to scoot over a bit because Kurai was clinging to Sikota. They should be a little more modest. I returned to my game.

(Uh...don't worry...I wasn't going to barge in like that... ;~;)

"Whelp." I muttered, getting off the bed to lay down my computer gently on the nightstand nearby. I walked down the steps, looking into the room where everyone else was. "I'll take the shower." I said, looking to them for a parting second before hurrying back to the bathroom. Turning the 'Hot' water knob, I noticed that the water seemed a bit lukewarm--someone must've used up most of the hot water.

Not that I truly minded...just a slight inconvenience.

Ten minutes, later, I was done. Fresh and clean.

"Alright." I announced, "Shower's open again." I said, hurrying to me room to redress in an regular brown shirt and basic pajama pants. I returned back down where everyone else was, carrying a book with me this time.

I looked blankly at Sikota, switching my position to where I wasn't right on him.

"I don't know...mean dragons? If he is a jerk he should get mean dragons..." I said bluntly, finishing the granola bar.

My eyes darted to Sora.

"Soraaa....I'm hungry!!!" I complaint.

"Let me go to my room, get stuff, shower and then I'll cook." I promised Sodom.

I then got up,lowering the book. Next I quickly went to get all I would need to Shower. "I'll take a shower now." She told them as she entered the room where everyone was.

After I left again,I went to take a quick shower. When I finished I quickly got dressed in a baggy white shirt and Nike sweat pants. After that I pulled my still damp hair into a ponytail. When I was done with this I left the bathroom.

I had been able to shower first, so I was done with that. Currently, I was just relaxing in my room. I've already changed into my sleepwear. Just a simple old t-shirt that read "New Mexico 1989 Girls State" and some just regular pajama pants. I was reading "Shabanu Daughter of the Wind" by Suzanne Fisher Staples. It was about a Pakistani Muslim girl and her coming of age. Intriguing for sure, specifically the culture differences, but I found the writing style pretty cool too. Pretty good, and when I was done, it was definitely going on my Shelf of Awesome. Anyway, I finished off my chapter and went downstairs into the living area when I heard Sora and Sodom say something about cooking, before Sora went to go take a shower. I smiled inwardly when I walked into the kitchen. "I'll cook for you Sodom. What do you want?" I asked her. I love cooking, for the most part. Specifically I really like playing with all the flavors and making stuff up. But I knew how to make quite a few things by heart that I knew for sure tasted really good.

I gave a sharp glare at Yuffie before saying anything.

"My name is not Sodom. You should know that." I said bluntly.

"Anything but meat for me though~" I said.

I stopped mid sentence before closing my binder. Always stop mid sentence so you can pick it up easily when you get back to work. "Can we trust Yuffie to cook for us?" I joked. Almost on, my stomach growled ambiently. I could feel my face start redden ever so slightly. "Whatever, I'm starved. Whatever works for you, Yuffie!"

I looked around the room that everyone was was essentially in, and found a solitary place to sit and read my book.

It was a book set in the future, where cyborgs are a thing. It's chock-full of deep, plot twist stuff, and it's got plenty of action. Even then, for its size, I'm barely half-way through with it.

"I can help cook, if need be. I know some non-meat dishes; Sora isn't a meat-eater either." I said, looking up from my novel. "Of course, I'm sure someone can prepare a better dish than I can.."

I looked up from my computer. "Aside from salads, no." There was my two cents. I looked down to my game again. I had just destroyed another ship, and now I was going to jump to another area. A store? Hell yeah! I have plenty of scrap to buy stuff. Let's see what they have. A Weapon Pre-Igniter Augmentation! I must have it! Now to try it out on this rebel rigger. . . Beautiful.

I threw all my stuff at random in the room and closed the door. I walked back to the room where everyone else was."I want pasta. Feta and actually a big slice of peace pie. We can feed to the U.N. members. " I said and laughed.

Then sat on Silver's lap. "Oh Engy-Kun~ You still haven't full out kissed me. Now put that book down." I smiled.

I smiled to the girl on my lap, carefully laying the captivating novel down near me.

"Why don't we do that elsewhere? I doubt anyone else wants to see us make out in front of them." I replied. I wanted to kiss her, yes, but I wasn't about to do it in front of anyone else. Most of them probably thought low of me anyways, but I didn't like that thought.

"Sorry, Ita-Chan~"

I sighed. Those two are so shippable. I thought to myself. Pity Silver's too timid to make it fun enough for me. But the shyness provides enough ainokuai as is.

(to expand this short post, I'll have you know that I even ship a lot at school. Although that wasn't until after Silver gave me my noble shipping title)

I turned to Silver and Sora, bluntly staring at the two.

"Silver, Sora....We're right here ya know...we can hear every word you say...." I said bluntly, however it was true.

I'm surprised Sikota hasn't teased me yet like he always does. My eyes turned to him, then back at Yuffie.

What did Sora say?! KISSING?! Run away!! I slammed my computer shut, leaped to my feet, and dove outside. My feet pounded the sand for a short distance, then I crouched behind a dune, panting from exertion. Thank God I can sprint; it helps me in these kinds of situations. I lay back on the dune, some of the sand shifting as my head touched it. I opened my computer again. The glow of the screen illuminated the dim twilight of the evening. The sun was nothing more than a red streak, coloring the sky and the waves a dull red. Red sunset at night, sailors' delight. It would be a good day tomorrow. The stars were slowly coming out, making the sky match my game. I closed my eyes and imagined the Kestral Cruiser jumping off the screen and into the night, to take me off on grand space adventures. If only. . . I sighed. Life is so miserably boring. It doesn't have space pirates or magic or anything like that. It's just work. The melancholy feeling settled over me again. I opened my eyes to watch the last light of evening disappear.

"What the Xylk, Nei?!" I stood quickly. Slapping my hand to my forehead I gave an exasperated sigh. "It's as if there were a bomb in here." I said. "No surprise he brought his computer with him. Come on, Kurai-chan. Let's look for him."

I sighed. This was my fault.Kurai..she obviously held some distaste for me, maybe it was just the amount of affection I showed for Sora..I don't know..and now I made Natron literally dive out of the house in an attempt to evade any proximity near kissing."I'm sorry." I muttered, collecting my book and silently moving Sora off of me as i retreated to my bedroom.

—Kurai—

I swear I jumped back about five feet as Neisan just left. Probably a second later, Sikota asked...no more commanded me to go with him to look for his friend. I gave a small nod, standing imminently up and sating my blanket down, hopping straight over to his side.

"Let's go." I said seriously.

Before we left, I looked at Silver a bit sadly. My face painted with guilt.

"You two hold down the fort." I said to Silver and Sora. With Sakurai at my side, I exited. The area was more or less flat. "Unless he took the long way around toward the mountains, he's probably near the dunes to the west." I turned to see the setting sun. A spectrum of reds. Reminded me of an old quote. And how I used it once. "Hey, Kurai-chan, you know what this reminds me of?"

—Kurai—

"Maybe...." I said, looking at Sikota.

He wasn't much taller then me but still I had to look up a bit.

I looked towards the dunes, still feeling rather guilty for making Silver upset.

(Gah...what have I done!)

(S'okay. This is what I would do in this situation, so that's what I did. Not your fault.)
