Day 1

I slipped the key into its whole and opened the door. It was a rather expansive, modern living room with a kitchen behind a doorway and a flight of stairs that led up to the bathrooms. A pair of doors on the other side of the stairs were the changing rooms leading to their own sides of the hot spring behind the house. "Alright." I said to everyone. Let's head upstairs and unpack. Then we have two options: chill here and get settled; or get changed and hit the beach."

(Don't we all?)

(OH MY GOD YOU GUYS)

"The dunes. I generally dislike those kinds of situations," I said, referring to the kissing. "So, I escaped, took a few minutes to regain my composure, then came back." I finished my sandwich, took another, also dry. "I'm surprised nobody is feasting on these right now."

(HA HA HA)

"We were obviously close to finding you though." I stated, just finishing my pudding.

"Curse sweets..." I muttered.

"At least I have awesome metabolism...." I said quietly, throwing my stuff away.

"Oyasuminasai, Nei-kun." I said shortly after, heading upstairs to bed.

(Wait, that's Casy's nickname for him! Aw whatever~ What happened to Yuffie?)

(Yuffie is on a trip. And is on and off.)

My right eyebrow cocked up at Kurai's retreating form. What in the heck does. . .whatever she said mean? Ah well. It doesn't really matter. Seems everybody is turning in for bed. I'll stay up a while longer. I went outside and sat down on a beach chair near the house to enjoy the young night.

FASTFORWARD

(the next morning~)

The sun peeked through my bedroom blinds. The rays just had to be so perfectly angled that the light hit me square in the face. I turned over and curled up deeper into my blanket. My would-be sleep was interrupted by four little feet marching across my head. "Fine, fine, Hari." I said, sitting up. "You, stay here." I told the little hedgehog as I got out of bed, gathered my clothes for the morning, and walked toward the bathroom.

After a quick shower, I stepped out dressed in jeans and a gray buttondown shirt that I left unbuttoned, revealing a pale yellow V-neck. It was supposed to be a little chilly today. I tossed my nightclothes into my room, picked up Hari, and went downstairs. I pulled a plum out of the fridge to munch on. When I was finished, I set it on the table for Hari to scavenge as I washed all the stray plum juice off my hands and face. After Hari finished, I placed him on my head and waited for everyone else to come down.

( So... I'm currently dressed in my signature outfit. I just don't have a yellow shirt of all colors >.< )

My room was on the west side of the building. I chose this purposefully to try and prevent myself from getting up at the crack of dawn. As usual, my strategy mostly failed. My eyes opened, closed, opened, looked at the clock on my bedside table. 6:13. Ah well, might as well get up. I arose, dressed in a pair of cargo shorts and a t-shirt, and scampered down the stairs. I did this all quietly, of course, so as not to disturb anyone. A strange sight greeted me: someone was awake before I was. Sikota had a hedgehog on his head. . . Am I still asleep? "That thing might carry diseases, you know."

(FINALLY)

"Oh?" I turned to see Neisan. "He's clean." I told him. "No worries. Why don't you say hello, Hari?" The hedgehog was unresponsive. "Erhem, anyway, you wanna at least put on some jeans, Nei? The weather's supposed to be rather chilled."

"I might later. Let me step outside." I opened the kitchen door, feeling the cool, damp morning air rush in. The hairs on my arms and legs stood up. "Yeah, it'll be cool." I said as I shut the door. I opened the fridge and rooted around until I found a package of English muffins. I took one out, split it in half, and popped both halves in the toaster. "What are we going to do today?"

"Well..." I started, "you know the mountain we've got behind this place?" That statement was rhetorical so I didn't wait for a response. "I was thinking we'd check out the surrounding forests, maybe reach the base of the big rock and have a picnic. What do you think?"

(Oh well no sleep for me.)I sat up from bed. I hadn't slept a wink. I yawned tired. "Better dress." I said tiredly and rolled out of bed.

I threw had my clothes some more in till I found some okay to wear. I dress in a black shirt,a gray sweatshirt and some jeans with holes in the knees, also black leggings. I walked out my room holding my dirty clothes. I walked down stairs. "Hey guys, the bathroom has a wash bin, right?" I asked till tired.

I yawned, my eyes blinking open. Moving my hand randomly, I searched the the nearby nightstand for my phone. With a click, I checked the time. The groan I soon made was my response to how late I woke up.

"What's it with me and waking up so late?" I muttered, sitting up. Sora, at some point, had left, leaving me alone again in my room. Smiling at that, I kicked open my suitcase, looking at its contents. My standard wear consisted of cargo shorts and anime/pop culture t-shirts, which my bag was chock-full of. Which would I pick? I guess the Hetalia one for today!

(I am on a trip.. but I figure one post can't hurt)

I wake to a thump on my window. Groggy and drowsy, I sit up in the luxurious bed I had chosen, and attempt to blink the sleep out of my eyes, to no avail. I yawn, and roll out of bed. I stretch my long and limber arms towards the sky. Despite being the youngest of the group, I am quite tall, third in the entire seventh grade. I take pride in that fact, even though it makes my center of balance a little off, causing me to be a bit clumsy while walking. Though when I'm running, I become graceful, and everything seems so much easier. Anyway, I return my attention to my mysterious thumping window. I unlock, and slide the pane of glass up so I can stick my head out the window. On the ground a floor below, lies a bird, belly up. I gasp, and grimace, before making out the little guy's chest move up slightly with a breath. I grin excitedly. I can still save the bird from a horrible death by bumping into a window! I dash down the stairs, not bothering to change or groom myself. While I am decent, in my ratty t-shirt and pajama pants, I certainly won't win any beauty contests, with my tangled hair and morning breath. After reaching the first floor, I call a quick "Hey guys!" To Nei and Sikota, who were both downstairs, before sprinting out the back door. Shutting the door behind me and running around the corner to the side of the hous I thought my window was on. I scanned the ground, looking for the small precious bird. I spotted it, and ran over to it. I bent down, and cupped the little bird in my hands. I could see fear in it's eyes, and it flailed it's legs a tad. "Shhh," I reassure the little bit of life. "It's alright, I won't hurt you,"

My eyes went wide with Yuffie's sudden appearance followed by a sudden disappearance. "Well that came out of nowhere..." I cleared my throat and turned to the newcomer who actually stayed. "Anyway, as for your question, I'm pretty sure there was but you best take a look yourself to be sure."

My English muffins popped up. I took them out, jiggling them in my hands because they were hot. After dropping them on a plate, I looked around the pantry for a jar of peanut butter. "The mountain, huh? But I'm wearing my "unathletic" shirt today." Good thing I brought enough cloths that I wouldn't have to wash anything.

(I do have a shirt that says "unathletic". I'm wearing it as I post, in fact.)

--Kurai--

And of course, I was the last to awaken. Sure, I'd been laying in bed for about thirty minutes trying to wake up. I eventually actually got up, grabbing my clothes, hair-brush, etc, I quickly called the shower. That took about twenty minutes for me to take a shower, followed by about five of me getting dressed, drying my hair all the way....etc. Rather quickly and quietly I walked downstairs to see...of course basically everyone. My immediate instinct was to get straight beside Sikota.

"Good Morning..." I muttered, obviously still tired.

"Ohayo, Kurai-chan!" I said in my shota voice. My Japanese accent is usually pitched noticeably lower, but the shota version is and implies a lot more fun and lightheartedness. I slyly wrapped my arm around her to give her a nice hug from the side. While our bodies were close, Hari took his chance and hopped onto Kurai's head.

--Kurai--

Rather quickly, I pulled the hedgehog off my face and held it.

"Did you name him yet?" I asked, looking at Sikota.

Surely he did.

"I've decided that his name is Hari [Ha-Ree]." I replied. "I'm debating wether or not it's short for Harine [Ha-Ree-Nay] so I can add an extra syllable whenever I'm cross with him." I neglected to mention that this wall derived from the Japanese word harinezumi, Japanese for hedgehog. In literal perspective it meant roughly 'pointy rat' but that was beside the point.

--Kurai--

"Hari is a cute name for it~" I said with a small smile.

I sighed and looked at Sikota.

"I'm not that hungry this morning...." I muttered, placing Hari in his hands.

I held out my arm to allow the little hedgehog to scurry across and find a seat on my shoulder. "That's fine." I told her. "You at least want a plum or something? Tide you over for our trek today?" I knew Kurai was a fan of plums, but then again, I confirmed a while ago that I can almost never predict what she has to do or say in most any situation.

I cautiously carried the young birdling back around the corner. He felt so delicate and helpless, so I ended up flipping him over onto his legs. He didn't stand up, but he seemed a lot more comfortable. I grinned at the bird as I slid open the door back into the house.

"Hope no one's allergic to birds! Wait, is that even possible?" I called into the large house. I continued into the home and smiled at everyone inside. Kurai-chan had gotten up now as well. Slowly and carefully I set the bird on the table. "Whatcha guys think? This little guy crashed into my window, so I decided to help him out." I declared, beaming at my housemates.

--Kurai--

I sighed, we were going to infest the house with animals by the end of the day.

"I've picked up a bird once...." I muttered, then I turned to Sikota.

"I'll have a plum. I haven't had one in forever." I said with a small smile, beginning to look for them.

Hari jumped off of me and onto the table, eyeing the second animal to have entered the building.

"I can't tell if I smell competition, friendship, or dirty feathers." I said jokingly.
