Hey guys, i've been seeing some backlash about the release date for the 1.5 remix collection. I understand that it shouldnt take that long to release a collection and i agree on that. But mainly the reason could be that Square Enix is doing this is because Kingdom Hearts first came out in the U.S in September. Since september this year in the U.S will be the series' 10th anniversary, it makes sense why the collection is going to be released on that month. Thats what i believe!

Actually I believe the 10th anniversary was last year wasn't it? In any case I agree maybe they did it that way since the original KH came out in September too. I haven't seen much backlash though. Maybe that's just because I'm blind. I'm just glad we have a release date though!~

Technically the 10th anniversary is still going on. It'll end when the game comes out so it makes sense.

I was told it was taking so long since they're not just revoicing it, they're editing the scenes so that the lips all match up with the english words.

Look, it is taking as long as needed and necessary. If they need to release it in September, so be it. If they are editting scenes and matching up the voicing to make it great and it has to release in September, so be it. No point in complaining about it.

That's kinda stupid IMHO. I mean, the 10th Anniversary will be more memorable than the 11th in most cases, and this is one of them. Nomura is just trying to test our patience again, and he's trolling all of us outside of Japan to do it. Well except for those lucky dogs in Austrailia who get it before Spring Break.

 

Look, it is taking as long as needed and necessary. If they need to release it in September, so be it. If they are editting scenes and matching up the voicing to make it great and it has to release in September, so be it. No point in complaining about it.

Actually, there is a point to complain. Square could easily release it in the Summer, but instead, we're going to get it half of a year after Japan, instead of a couple months.

 

Everything's pretty much finished by now. Its already in HD, all they have to do is replace the voices, translate the new attack names and abilties, and then just use the original NA translation for everything else. And thanks to Jesse McCartney showing that they were dubbing 358/2 Days in January, they should be done by now. Its been 4 whole months.

 

And its not like they're going to release any DLC for this, since its an HD collection.

 

And besides, most of us in the US would love it to be in the summer, so we actually have the FREE TIME TO ENJOY IT. By September, most of us will already be or start heading back to school, where we'll be crowded with homework and barely anytime to actually enjoy the game until maybe Thanksgiving in November.

 

I would be perfectly fine if it released August 10th, at least that gives me some time. Plus its my birthday month, so i could get it for free. And i'm in desperate need of a new good PS3 games, since i've pretty much Plat. all my other games(Save for Uncharted 2, i'll probably do that over the summer) and i'm bored.

 

It would be better for all of us in the US to get it in Summer. I think everyone who lives in the US with me will agree with that.

 

If only we could make a petition to change that.

I understand the frustration, but look at BbS. It came out 8 months after the JP BbS so really, this is better than 8 months. If they need to do it right, then they should take all the time necessary and reasonable for it.

BUT THIS IS AN HD REMASTER!!! THERE'S BARELY ANYTHING LEFT TO CHANGE REALLY FROM THE JAPANESE VERSION!!! Lets look at all the things they really need to do for an English release:

I don't know how nuch help it could do or if it would do anything. They have their date set and since that is so, they are not going to change it unless they are not ready. They definitely won't make it earlier.
