I'm curious-- do any of you have parents that play video games a lot in their spare time?

Like my dad.

My grandparents is hate the games, they think is too violently, or boyish. Granny said, the KHBBS is a brutal, boy's game :(

omg same here D: I was once playing KH2 and my dad was like, "Isn't that the game guys play?"

aww. Usually when I tell the peoples, I love the games, the answers--: Are you normal?

                                                                                                             or: But... You a girl.....

Me:STFU!Im normal, and I love the games. PLS PEOPLES. UNDERSTANDING NEEDED.

Not really. My dad sometimes plays shooters with me, but that really it.

My parents never played video games because it didnt exist during my youth. I play video games.

Not video games per se, but my mother plays a lot on her phone and she had a DSi (whose drowning may have been slightly my fault). She used to play Wii before she started having problems with her ankle and is a very athletic woman even though her hipothyroid conditions are making her gain weight. So, yes, she plays video games.

Nope, they never played any kind of video game with me.

I don't have  gaming parents, even though my father is really into electronics. The world of gaming was actually introduced to me by my aunt. She introduced me to Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo. She doesn't play video games anymore, but I am grateful to her for introducing me to the wondrous world of gaming. ^_^ I am carrying on the tradition by teaching me my little cousins how to play various games on the Wii, PS2, and 3DS.  ;)

everything about this statement is true about me except my dad can't handle electronics and it was Super Mario World on the GBA and various Tetris games.  That and I don't have any very young cousins to teach.  My aunt still plays some games, but can't handle much complexity, like the concept of moving and aiming at the same time in Battlefront on the PS2.

They used to play Donkey Kong...

And now they play the DKC Trilogy...HELL YEAH.
