But I'm at a loss for ideas for a set of OC's, I had made a RP with the base idea for the story, hoping for the OC's that I could modify so that they would work in a story. Since that was ineffective, would any of you excellent writers help me by developing some OC's that I could use? It may seem pathetic, but I got so much of a writers block that I can't get a new OC made...

The best way I find to start to to try and develop characters based around some trait or personality that you happen to like. Given that these are going to be the people you'll be hanging around with in the story, you might as well like them.

Second, develop them. This is the most important thing. Don't just have a name and a job class. Take the character, and write down everything you can think of about them. My personal favorite things to delve into are what they're afraid of, what they do for fun, where they went to school, and what their favorite color is. You don't have to necessarily recreate their dental records, or anything to that extent, but the more you come to know about your character, the deeper they become and the more human they will seem.

Third, backstory and biography. This one can get a little dry at times (at least for me, anyways), but its handy because it lets you know where your character came from. This person didn't just appear out of a vacuum. Again, the more you know about your character, the more rounded he becomes. Also, don't just focus on the "good bits," like where he might have gotten a scar, or when he first decided to become the job he's chosen. There's more to being a character than just plot points.

Fourth, once you have a character, what is his quest, emotionally and physically? The character has to want something, otherwise he/she wouldn't be in the story. Now, the physical quest is easy, but now that you know your character's mental state and history, his emotional quest becomes much richer and probably the best part of the character. You know what he wants, how he ticks, and how he feels, so you can see how he will develop and grow as the story unfolds.

Here's something handy.  http://luppa.deviantart.com/art/Renny-s-How-to-Flesh-Out-Characters-372864873

As for where to get ideas, look at some of your favorite characters.  Think about how that guide applies to them, and hopefully that'll get your brain working, so start from there.

Its really just the appearance that I'm lacking and the personality. I already have the wants/needs pulled out and I have the basic plot. The main is female, there are 6 Deuteragonist, Each one has a personality that involves one of the seven deadly sins, all of them fighting for a very special position. My main problem is design and charterer building. I plan to release this on KH13 for peer editing/revision and then I will be using it for a contest for a scholarship. If you want the plot, I can give it, but it would be more entertaining for you to read it as I post it.

Thanks for a break down of the steps. I don't want the cookie cutter, but I also have a set for them.
