Hey there everyone, how's it going? Well then, here's a topic I had been wanting to talk about for quite a while, and it's concerning the mobile gaming market. No one can deny that mobile games are influencing the gaming world by storm. I currently own an IPad(which, ironically, is where I'm writing this topic.) and I've downloaded my share of games. I love console and handheld games, but there's just times when you want to play something simple but challenging, and that's where games like Angry Birds or Cut the rope come in. Right now my favorite mobile games are Kingdom Rush and Kingdom Rush Frontiers. They are tower defense games that are easy to learn but difficult to master, as there are many ways you have to strategize to prevent enemies from going to the other side of the battlefield. It's also fun because there are a lot of cool references to different media, such as in one of the levels of Kingdom Rush frontiers where snipers that look suspiciously like Tusken Raiders from Star Wars help you defeat the enemy. Mobile games look to have a bright future. What do you all think of these games, and what are some of your favorites? :)

Popularity of Mobile games have grown a lot in past few years and brought up some new really popular gaming companies such as Rovio and Supercell

The reason why mobile games are popular is the fact that they have simple, but addictive game mechanisms so 5-80 years old can easily play them.

Of course more hard core gamers aren't really fond of these kind of games, but some of them are quite fun even though it seems that lot of these "free-to-play" games are actually quite expensive if you want better experience with em' (for example Clash of Clans by supercell)

Yes, I agree with you on that, and here we can see many good and not so good games, as is the case with console or handheld games. :)

I don't like mobile games.

i hardly have any games on my phone. I have one called Danmaku Death but i hardly play it often
