for the love of god you people are stubborn about this but now its just hilarious. as I've said before I don't want to have to hold on to multiple consoles just to play 1 franchise, and no the cloud isn't an option with 1.5 on the PS4, if its only on the cloud than I wont be able to play it if it ever gets taken down. plus porting games between consoles is even easier than ever now with the x64bit architecture of the PS4. your old excuse was "well they want to put the franchise on 1 console which is clearly the PS3 so no need for the PC" (I still can't believe some of you didn't see this coming)

 

so can we finally agree that kingdom hearts is a wonderful franchise the should be in the hands of many as possible and that PC is a good option for it?

 

EDIT: so apparently square is now going to release it on XBOX1. they are releasing KH on the most anti-consumer console ever there is no excuse left for them not to put it on PC.

 

EDIT: so...."facepalm" not at the game going on PC, but at sony....they screwed up(http://kotaku.com/third-party-publishers-will-have-final-say-on-used-game-512643240) since both consoles now seem bad in the same aspects, can you guys now acknowledge that PC is a good platform and worth KHs time? I know it doesn't have used games but with steam sales who needs them

I think petitions can do a lot more harm than good in some cases and in some ways makes certain things look stupid. there has to be something though, like I just wish at a Q and A someone would just ask Nomura or someone on the team why the games aren't going to be on PC.

You raise a good point, I'm just hoping that someone WILL ask the question to Nomura or someone on the team because I've played KH 1 & 2 on my PC and I personally preferred using mouse + keyboard to le controller.

P.S that above article also applies to DRM, its up to the publishers, the system itself isn't always online but I have a feeling EA will try to push for it on the PS4 and probably other developers like blizzard.

I can't imagine playing KH on a keyboard, though.. It seems awkward if you compare it to using a controller. Of course, you could just plug in a controller and play it like you would on a PS, but.. Some people can't do that, and.. keyboard controls? I don't see how that could work. One of the things that would bother me would be the fact that you can't go in any direction. You can only go diagonal and NESW, while an analog stick lets you go in every direction.. The controls would just be plain awkward.

Really, your biggest concern is the directions? If you play it with a mouse AND keyboard, you could just go in any direction because adjusting camera angles with a mouse is so easy.

why not? give me one damn good reason it shouldn't be on PC. its certainly not because of hardware limits, keyboard controls would work fine or even if you didn't want to you can use a controller, and just about every other square enix franchise is on the PC except for final fantasy

I also thought it would've been weird because I used to play it with le Dualshock 2 and I was kinda forced to use mouse and keyboard when I played it on my PC (using PCSX2) but I made a control scheme that's similar to an FPS game and just makes gameplay enjoyable.

I tried it on PCSX2 too, le controls weren't too bad.. But still.. It's kinda awkward when you used le controller and then suddenly lose your freedom of moving in every single direction possible

I admit, it was kinda annoying in KH1 because it didn't have proper camera controls but KH2 was a different story because of the dynamic camera control

you'd be surprised, that's how most PC shooters work with aiming and the camera, its extremely easy to learn and get used to, and if you prefer analog sticks there is always controller support(if they didn't include it in a hypothetical PC version I would be surprised)

I know how they do it with an FPS, lol, but it's Kingdom Hearts, much more different than an FPS, unless you're playing in the first person mode that was in KH2.

I'll be honest, I do torrent a lot but that's because MOST PC games use DRM and have limited offline support but honestly, if KH3 came to PC, I'd buy it because it's a game that deserves the money. Got it memorized?

define most? not that many use DRM unless your talking about steam, but in that case why would you pirate it, steam is awesome. who needs pirating when you have steam sales

 

only games I can think of with really bad DRM is Sim City and Diablo3, ubisoft did have the always online DRM and stuff but they got rid of it from their games with patches.

I torrented a few times, but I started to feel guilt, so I don't really do it anymore. I hate feeling guilty. I'd also buy it, but probably for the PS4 because my computer is not all that great. It's good, though. Just not really.. great.
