Nintendo has just announced the next entry in the Super Smash Bros series!!

Im trying to be optimistic, and so are fellow Mother fans. Besides, it wouldnt be fair that the Mother series only has one character returning, while most of the franchises represented in Smash have 2 or more (Im sure there's gonna be a second FE character at least). I doubt there are really any other good substitutes for Lucas(except Masked Man and Jeff), not to mention he's the main character of the most recent game. It may have changed, but i kinda doubt it. There's not much they can do to alter it.

 

I hope so, alot of Fighting games have the option to customize finishers, and since Smash 4 is getting a customizable moveset option confirmed, i think its possible, even if it isnt entirely likely.

If Lucas returns I hope they make him different from Ness. I know we have a few clones, but Ness and Lucas were completely the same size, shape, and type. Toon Link is a light fighter compared to Link being a medium. They have a few differences there. Fox, Falco, and Wolf (I hope we dun see Wolf return) had a few different ways their movesets worked. 

 

Plus we have customization so movesets can be changed around a bit in terms of that, but I'd like to see their defaults change up quite a bit. They even had the same Final just like the Star Fox reps.

I'd honestly have to disagree with that. I main Lucas and use Ness often(lately ive been using other characters in brawl more often because i want more variety and its fun) and i can tell you that even though they are the same size, shape and type, they are almost completely different combat wise. I wouldn't even call them semi clones like the Starfox trio.

 

First off, Lucas's specials are alot diff. from Ness's. His PK Fire sends enemies flying, not entraps them in a constant fire, his PK Thunder hits multiple times and not just once, same goes for his Thunder Rocket(when you hit him with PK Thunder), and his PK Freeze doesnt insta KO like PK Flash does, and is alot faster. On top of that, his attacks incorporate more PSI than Ness's do, giving him a bit more range and power(i think so at least). His aerials are diff. too, especially his back air(dat meteor smash is useful). The only real thing they have in common besides size is their final smash, and even then, Lucas's is better for smaller stages, while Ness's is better for Larger ones, as Lucas's come straight down, and Ness's go outwards and more towards the sides.

 

The reason im hoping that Lucas and Ness have new FS's, or at least customizable ones, is because in their actual games, they had their own special offensive Psychic moves(PK Love for Lucas and PK Rockin for Ness), which i thought wouldve been a better FS than PK starstorm for both, a move they dont even have in their actual games. :

It's pretty much confirmed that Mega Evolution is a Final Smash now. Kinda depressing...

Well it's better than having them mega evolve at any time

 

And it's not confirmed yet,cuz unlike Wario Man from Brawl,Mega Evolutions might lasts until you use another Smash ball kinda like ZSS to Power Suit Samus

RIP Kamehameha Lucario. So all will just be generic power ups? Indeed lame.

Why?Because when you use a Final Smash the screen becomes darker....in the Mega evolution it's not the case

 

It's pretty much like changing from ZSS into Power Suit Samus in Brawl when she uses her final smash

 

which means both Charizard and Lucario would need two Smash Balls,one to mega evolve and one to use for the final smash

 

until I see Sakurai confirms it I won't jump into conclusions

Should've called it Pong from the beginning,I know about the Color TV but still it's Pong.....and I really like the idea of this assist trophy ^_^

So......Anyone think that Sakurai's gonna have a new theme for Smash Bros. 4? I mean, the main theme for brawl was Audi Faman(i think thats the name, i could be wrong though) either way it was the one that plays in the credits of SSE mode(at least the first part). I like that theme, but im hoping Sakurai makes a brand new main theme for Smash 4 thats just as epic though.

 

Also, does anyone think we're gonna get an actual name for this game? BESIDES Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. I mean, i know the name doesnt matter that much, but it'd be easier to call it by a shorter name, like how we call Smash Bros Melee and Smash Bros Brawl just "Melee" and "Brawl". Yeah, i see it now. I agree though, they should hire Nobou again.

Alternative colors look more like alternative skins. Perhaps there's chance for Dr. Mario skin, and Island Pajama Toon Link. I doubt it'll happen for every character, but it'd be cool for those who can.

 

Or Sakurai will announce that character customization is here with unlockable outfits to choose from.

I'm guessing that the Villager will get different appearances instead of the different colors that most of the characters get, kind of like with Pikachu and hats.

That's my major feeling too.

We got two Pokemon stages for Brawl (not counting melee stage), so we might get another stage besides XY's elite 4. Still hoping its N's castle or some notable area from BW or RSE since remakes are being made for the latter.

Spanish publication Nintenderos says that the Official Nintendo Magazine in Spain has Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 3DS down as being released this September. You may remember that US retailer Target had the game penciled in with an August 29th release for the United States. So we could be looking at September for Europe and August 29th for the United States. Hopefully we will receive a release date for the game next month at E3.

I was reading the comments for another article that was about the same subject, apparently this magazine screws up a lot of release dates. I'm not believing anything until it's straight out of Nintendo, and not a magazine published by their fans.

I was wondering, is there anyone else that wants to see a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon themed stage in SSB for the 3DS? I love the games, and I think it'd be great for Nintendo to finally show some love to its greatest dungeon crawler series.
