(Alright, lads and lasses. Here we go.)

 

The yellow eyes of Heartless Shadows were the only thing visible in the dark cave. There was a bigger Heartless in another chamber that had been terrorizing a local town, the perfect target for an aspiring hero. A perfect location.

Suddenly, the Heartless Shadows sensed a heart in the cave with them. They began to swarm for this treat, but were met by the crackle of lightning and flames. Soon, not even the light of Heartless eyes illuminated the darkness. A mechanical light snapped on after it was set up on a wall. Below it, where the light pooled, a poster was put up. It told those that read it to a place to go and a time to be there.

The place, The Old Mansion in Twilight Town.

The time stated was one word. Now.

The figure that put the poster up stepped back to look at it. It was there for the bold and skilled to find. If they could reach it, they could help save the worlds. Of course, this poster and others like it were for those the figure had missed. Personal invitations had already been sent. It just remained to see who would come.

The figure stepped fully out of the pool of light and was gone from that world.

 

 

Standing in the main foyer of the Old Mansion in Twilight Town was Theek Shalma. He began to tap his foot, trying to contain his impatience. There were many things to be done, but he couldn't put off what was going to happen. It was too importance, too big an opportunity. He only hoped his waiting would be rewarded.

Xion motioned Luna over. "Got water and a rag?" She asked, lifting Zion's head into her lap. "Or at least water?"The girl was tucking Zion's hair behind her ears, making sure her forehead was clear. "Just so she stays cool..."

 

 

Even grunted in frustration and knelt down beside Zion. He took one of her hands and concentrated. A slight frost formed on the hand Even was holding."That should keep her temperature down." He said.He gave Xion a sharp look."And before you ask, no, i didn't hurt her."He stood up and nearly ran into Lumiara who was behind him."How is Larxene still here?" He asked. "She was destroyed by Sora. Shouldn't she be whole again?""I don't know." Even snapped. "It is possible something powerful brought her Nobody back. Whether it was an outside influence or her own clawing to stay alive, she lost some of her memories, leaving her in a state like the lessor nobodies.""But still rather powerful." Lumiara observed, looking around the room.The Lessor Larxene stopped one floor above where she had battled the heroes, at the stairs to the next floor up. She huddled in a corner, trying to make the world stop.

As Luna kneeled besides Zion and Xion, she reached into one of her tactical pouches before pulling out a smoke bomb. "This ought to do" she calmly replied to Xion as she gently pinched the weapon, which in turn slowly emitted a white mist around it. Cupping her hand around the metallic sphere so the mist could condensate into droplets of water, she placed her hands over Zion's forehead and let the water droplets fall. "How is Larxene still here?" she heard Lumiara ask. "She was destroyed by Sora. Shouldn't she be whole again?" "I don't know. It is possible something powerful brought her Nobody back. Whether it was an outside influence or her own clawing to stay alive, she lost some of her memories, leaving her in a state like the lessor nobodies." 

 

Cody was ascending the white staircase that led to the next level, the sound of his heavy rubber footsteps resonating throughout the corridor. "Man," he murmured to himself, his voice barely echoing off the nearby wall but still soft enough not to be heard by anyone else, "talk about a roller coaster of emotions. First the memory of Kairi with Luna by me, then Luna herself , now this. Although... I prefer not to think about the first two."

 

As he entered the next room, he heard a gentle whimper coming from one of the corners but the view was obstructed by a pillar. A sharp chill ran down his spine, and he exhaled sharply as a result before regaining his composure. It sounds... distressed. Just like the memory. Could this be... a leaked memory of her? Feeling his heart quivering yet knowing that Larxene could be nearby, he pulled out both his weapons, arrow-rifle on his left hand and keyblade on his right before slowly approaching the corner in a wide circle, careful to walk around slowly to see who was there.

Xion smiled, then kissed Luna's cheek.

"Thanks. Now, have you made your move on Cody? We know how you look at him, alright?" The Nobody - Turned - Somebody smirked really softly. "She's so cute when she's asleep, isn't she?" Xion said, motioning to Zion. "When she's exhausted and had some...fun...she looks so adorable..."

Xion stroked the girl's hair softly, playing with a few locks.

"She really didn't like Larxene attacking me..."

"Your apology is unnecessary, but...appreciated." The memory of Master Eraqus said. "When Master Aqua remade the castle, she made certain areas cut off from the main hallways. Only Keyblade Wielders, and Light aligned ones at that, can access them."

The memory paused.

"Though since you are aware of me, Light might not be as much of a factor as I had thought. Either way, Xehanort or his minions haven't been able to find the room where Ven sleeps. But there are now a number of Keyblade Wielders that might possibly stumble onto his room. This place is still a labyrinth, but if you all remain, it could only be a matter of time before Ven is found. Which is what some watchers want."

 

Doctor Facilier watched Celas apparently talking to herself. He had thought it was a memory she was in, but he would be able to see that, or so he was told.

 

Celas listened to the memory of Master Eraqus with complete interest."So, the castle is reacting because there are a few Keyblade Wielders?" she asked. "Anyway, I will try to find the Chamber of Waking before someone else do it, I met Ven...a long time ago, when I was just a small girl...Well Master Eraqus, I just have one more question before I continue with my search. What do you mean by "is what some watchers want"? Who are these "Watchers" you are talking about?" Celas asked.It was just for a few seconds but Celas felt a chill running down her spine."What? This feeling...someone was watching us...me for a few seconds" Celas thought to herself.

Xion smiled, then kissed Luna's cheek.

"Thanks. Now, have you made your move on Cody? We know how you look at him, alright?" The Nobody - Turned - Somebody smirked really softly. "She's so cute when she's asleep, isn't she?" Xion said, motioning to Zion. "When she's exhausted and had some...fun...she looks so adorable..."

Luna was a bit shocked by the affection given by Xion, blushing a little as she continued to assist Zion's recovery. "Thanks. Now, have you made your move on Cody? We know how you look at him, alright?" Smiling, she chuckled a little as the memory of the fairly recent event played out in her head again. "Yeah. It's amazing how much of an influence she is to him. This is the first time that I've seen his eyes filled with life, and the fact that it changed colors because of her is just... breathtaking to say the least." The smoke bomb finally ran out of its magical ammo as the silver ball disintegrated in her hands, forming a couple more droplets of water as a result. "Though" she continued, "it's still maddening that he'll go back to his normal attitude as soon as she's no longer around. Now I'm trying to break him so he'll be soft around me too." She laughed a little at the idea, wondering if it really was possible to fully break the stubborn Guardian from his usual attitude and behavior. "The moment there was even the slightest disturbance, he went back to being himself. Still, those 7 seconds will stay with me forever."

 

Meanwhile... Cody slowed his steps as the corner of the room came into view from behind the pillar that was conveniently placed in front of it. Tightening his grip on both his weapons, he braced himself both physically and emotionally as he rounded the pillar, unsure if it was Larxene or someone else.

Xion kissed Luna's cheek again. "Sorry...you're really cute, and Zion's rubbed off on me. That, and you need to feel some love, right?" Xion smiled. She looked a bit sad though. "Ever moment I spent with Roxas and Axel...those are my seven seconds. They'll stay with me."

zion coughed, blinking awake.

"Luna? Hi." She groaned. "Babe? Next time we relieve stress, completely natural go at it."

Xion blushed badly. "Ok."

 

Zion again looked at Luna. "Why are you blushing?"

Xion kissed Luna's cheek again. "Sorry...you're really cute, and Zion's rubbed off on me. That, and you need to feel some love, right?" Xion smiled. She looked a bit sad though. "Ever moment I spent with Roxas and Axel...those are my seven seconds. They'll stay with me."

"Luna? Hi." She groaned. "Babe? Next time we relieve stress, completely natural go at it."

Xion blushed badly. "Ok."

 

Zion again looked at Luna. "Why are you blushing?"

As Xion leaned in for another kiss, Luna started to feel an emotional connection with her as well as wishing that Cody would be doing this to her again. As her soft lips gently touched her cheeks, Luna exhaled slowly, half enjoying the moment of reprise in the middle of a hostile environment, half feeling guilty that she was being kissed by another girl whose significant other that could give a beating if she wanted to was less than an arm's length away from them both. "Sorry...you're really cute, and Zion's rubbed off on me. That, and you need to feel some love, right? Every moment I spent with Roxas and Axel...those are my seven seconds. They'll stay with me." Her face glowed red from the rather intimate moment, wondering if Cody felt the same way when Kairi did the same thing to him in the trip down memory lane not too long ago. 

 

She became more embarrassed when Zion finally managed to wake up in Xion's arms. "Babe? Next time we relieve stress, completely natural go at it. Why are you blushing?" Luna tried to find a way to tell the truth without facing possible repercussions, since judging by the moniker that she used on Xion they were really, really close. "It's just that... well..." She was unsure at first why the feelings that were developing in her heart were manifesting, then found the reason. Before offering a reply to Zion, a muffled thunk was heard from above, bits and pieces of the ceiling crumbing onto their heads as a result. "Oh-no" she remarked in a worried tone before getting back on her feet, "that must be Cody!" Not noticing anyone else, she scrambled to the stairwell to see if he was ok, leaving the others behind.

"Xion? Why-"

"I kissed her cheek. Twice. She needed to feel some love that wasn't Cookie Cutter Super Soldier Cody."

Zion blinked, pulling Xion down for a kiss. "That's my girl?"

 

Zion was up and wings out. Wrapping her arms around Xion, she grinned. "Let's go check on Cookie Cutter Super Soldier and his Damsel who is in Emotional Distress."

Xion rolled her eyes. "Why me."

 

Zion was flying off with a laugh.

Even rolled his eyes.

"Do you design her to talk like that?" Lumiara asked the Chilly Academic.

"No." Even replied. "She is a complete anomaly. Which I had time to better study her."

"We'll, I'd better go make sure they deal with Larxene the right way. Dilan said he'd be along after he finished in Radiant Garden."

With that, the Graceful Assassin took off after Luna, Zion and Xion.

 

Larxene heard something near her. A thud from a room she had come through? She slowly crept forward to see if she could hear more. Before she could get further, Aero and Sarah burst into the room she was in. She hissed and threw a throwing knife each at them.

 

"Xehanort has undoubtably left someone to watch over this Castle." Master Eraqus answered. "It is a seat of power and holds his former apprentice. I am guessing that he still has plans for Ventus, but I don't know what."

He paused a moment.

"I would suggest that you get aid from some of the Keyblade wielders that are also here. They are too distracted by each other and the creatures that now live here to see me."

Aero and Sarah look shocked t see Larxene, as they use their Keyblades to try to block her knives. They run at her, preparing to slash her. They can tell by the look on her that she's not acting normal. Aero then speaks to her by saying. "Don't fight! We're trying to help you break free!" Shouted Aero, trying to tell Larxene that he ad Sarah aren't here to fight her.

"Xion? Why-"

"I kissed her cheek. Twice. She needed to feel some love that wasn't Cookie Cutter Super Soldier Cody."

Zion blinked, pulling Xion down for a kiss. "That's my girl?"

As Larxene slowly came into view as he rounded the pillar, Cody was surprised and shocked by the sound of Aero and Sarah bursting into the room, their feet hitting the pristine white tiled floor with such a force that he felt it shaking for just a bit. He reacted instantly, diving to another pillar before seeking cover from the newcomers. He peeked around to see if they were hostile, but given Larxene's reaction it became evident that the former nobody didn't see them as friends. "Don't fight! We're trying to help you break free!" he heard one of them exclaim. Break free? From what?! Curious about Aero's statement, he decided to watch the encounter for now, waiting to see just what they were talking about. He recovered to a standing position before retightening his grip on both weapons, ready for a retaliatory strike if needed.

 

Luna had just finished ascending the staircase before spotting Cody. Noticing how he was out of sight from the others, she quickly dove to the nearest pillar before snaking her way to him.

"Xehanort has undoubtably left someone to watch over this Castle." Master Eraqus answered. "It is a seat of power and holds his former apprentice. "I see" Celas nodded.Thinking about who could be the mysterious "watcher" Celas finally realized who it was after a few seconds."Wait a minute...I know who this "watcher" is!" she then looked at Master Eraqus. "Master, I met a strange man a while ago, he summoned some strange creatures from the darkness that i've never seen before. If this guy is the one who Xehanort sent to watch over this place then I will find him and take care of him." Celas said in a serious tone."But I have to apologize Master...I would prefer to work alone...I..." she shook her head. "Anyways...if I defeat this man then the other Keyblade Wielders will be able to see you and then you can explain things to them." Celas then bowed at Master Eraqus. "Please forgive me...I don't feel comfortable around people, that is why I prefer to work alone. If that was all you have to tell me then I will take my leave." Celas bowed once again. "It was a pleasure to speak with you again Master Eraqus" with a final smile Celas ran deeper into the castle.

The Memory of Master Eraqus watched Celas as she ran off.

"Good luck." He called after her before fading away.

 

Doctor Facilier watched as the heroes closed on his puppet. He wanted to get the wielders further into the castle, though he would treat them to a small battle to keep them interested. The Dark Keyblader, on the other hand, was beginning to worry him. She had stopped talking to thin air and was continuing on. He was sure she was getting help from something, but he didn't know what. Maybe she had friends on the other side too.

 

Larxene hissed and pulled more knives. If she understood Aero's declaration, she didn't show it. She was about to throw at the fast increasing targets when a familiar figure ran up.

"You haven't been taking care of yourself, Larxene." Lumiara said smoothly. "But that's okay, I'm here to help."

The twisted Nobody tilted her head as she stared at the pink haired somebody.

"Mar...luxi..a?" She managed.

Before Lumiara could answered, Larxene briefly glowed purple. With a snarl, she launched knives at Lumiara, Aero and Sarah, then leapt at Cody, daggers between her fingers.

Aero looks right at Larxene with a serious look on his face. He's sure that he's seen this somewhere before. He casts a Stopga spell on Larxene as he stares at her. He examines the purple aura around her. He then speaks out loud by saying. "I knew it... Doctor Facilier is behind what caused Larxene to act this way.." Said Aero, shockingly having knowledge of who Doctor Facilier is.

"Break! Break!" Cody screamed as he tried diving to his left. Luna immediately obliged, diving off in the opposite direction so only one of them could possibly get hit as Larxene made her lethal move towards them.

 

As she was falling, her body reactively moved itself for a combat roll. With her head bowed and tucked in so her shoulder could contact the floor first, she was able to spot Cody. His keyblade was out and held in a protective stance with both hands and in front of himself as Larxene hit full force, sending them both careening into a nearby pillar. The reaction made him lose grip of the arrow-rifle, and the sound of the metallic weapon hitting the floor where he once stood now echoed in the room, but not as loudly as his pained grunt as the pillar that he crashed into with his back was kind enough to abruptly stop any further movement. As he struggled to keep her at bay, Luna tried for a strike raid, throwing her keyblade to at least distract her and give a window of opportunity for him to escape and attack back.

As Cody was still pinned, Xion suddenly slammed into Larxene, a human missile with a glowing Keyblade.

Fueled by Event Horizon, Xion was up and ready for another strike as Luna's strike raid spun towards the Savage Nymph.

 

Above, Zion had all four Keyblades ready, prepared to unleash Salvation Raid Quadra.

As Cody was still pinned, Xion suddenly slammed into Larxene, a human missile with a glowing Keyblade.Fueled by Event Horizon, Xion was up and ready for another strike as Luna's strike raid spun towards the Savage Nymph.Above, Zion had all four Keyblades ready, prepared to unleash Salvation Raid Quadra.

Now free from Larxene's grasp, Cody was getting rather irritated for not being able to be as combat effective as he should be. Trying to keep calm, he caught Luna's keyblade before swinging both keyblades behind his back. Letting off a slow exhale, he focused on Larxene, intent of executing his own variation of the zantetsuken: sabre blade...

 

Meanwhile, upon seeing him catching her keyblade, Luna ran to recover his arrow-rifle as she pulled out another smoke bomb. She never liked nor trained with the weapon, but watched him enough times during training to know the bare basics. Shouldering the rifle, she kept off in the distance in a defensive stance, ready to defend herself should Larxene decide to target her next.

"Good luck" was the last thing Celas heard and she smiled.After a couple of minutes running Celas stopped."Alright, I need to find that man in order to help the other Keyblade Wielders so they can meet Master Eraqus. But where could that man be?" she asked to no one.After thinking for a couple of minutes Celas finally made a choice."Fine, I guess I will take my chances and see were the Keyblade take me" a black mist gathered on her hand and suddenly flames burst and her Keyblade appeared on her hand. "Here I go" she waved her Keyblade and a beam of Darkness shot in front of her.It was just for a small moment but the hallway changed to how it used to look, when Castle Oblivion was known as Land of Departure."It worked...but...I wonder where I'm going to end up" Celas nodded and walked towards the new hallway.After Celas vanished, the room went back to normal but flickered for an instant, showing just a dark hallway then returning to normal once again.

"What?" Doctor Facilier exclaimed.

He grabbed at the crystal ball he was watching through as he saw Celas disappear. He snarled and hit the ball.

"Where did she go?"

He began scanning through all the floors looking for her.

 

Larxene's shriek was edged with pain as she hit the pillar with Cody. The impact allowed her to shake off a little of Aero's Stopga effect, but not enough. Luna's blade sliced the side of Larxene's hood, revealing an almost mask her face. Stunned and still under the effects of the spell, the distorted Nobody could do nothing to avoid Xion's body slam. She flew off of Cody and slammed into the wall. She managed to get up and made a break for the stairs, but was cut off by a rose pedal laden slash cut her off.

"Not this time, Larxene." Lumiara told her, appearing at the foot of the stairs.

Larxene howled and ripped of the coat/body suit she had worn, revealing a more human form, dressed like a Dancer Nobody. Though this form looked more human, the way it fluttered and moved were far from it. Her skin was grey and her face looked like a mask.

"She is tapping into the last of her power." The Graceful Assassin warned. "Time to finish her, heroes."

The Lessor Larxene raised her hands above her, calling down lightning from the roof, the first strike starting right in front of her and the others working their way out.

Aero and Sarah look on at Larxene with stern looks on their faces. They can tell that Larxene may die if she uses too much power. Aero quickly creates five chains of Light, and shoots them at Larxene to try to tie her up. He then speaks out loud by saying. "That should hold her.." Said Aero, hoping that the chains would hold Larxene

She raised a hand and continual lightning strikes hit around the room, not aiming at anyone in particular, but striking none the less. Summoning more daggers to her hands, Larxene charged at Aero, but had to alter her course to avoid Lumiara's scythe that came at her head height. "We can't control her like this." Lumiara called out. "We end her now!"

Sarah watches on at the battle with a stern look on her face. Aero then speaks out loud by saying. "Take this, hornet!" Shouted Aero as he attacks Larxene.

"We can't control her like this. We end her now!" As Larxene was chained by Aero, A split decision made Cody immediately stand down on executing his Zantetsuken during her most vulnerable moment. He quickly started stepping back before regrouping with Luna, handing her keyblade back in the process. "Even said to take her alive, and one of those people are trying to free her from something. Orders?" He said aloud, his keyblade still held in a vicious stance as Larxene now managed to free herself.Luna had understood his reaction the moment she saw him: he was unsure if he could go ahead with the final strike. She hated the idea of permanently striking someone down, and was surprised that he didn't take the easy opportunity. "Restrain her with me, Cody!" she exclaimed as she moved her keyblade into a low position, "Follow my lead." He obliged and recognized her keyblade stance and tactic: she wanted both of them to do a Zantetsuken on Larxene, hopefully tackling her to the ground and restrain her arms so she couldn't do anymore harm to others. They both charged their move while waiting for a window of opportunity through the random lighting storm that she had conjure up.When Luna spotted a clear line towards Larxene, she charged forward with a blinding speed, Cody was close behind and ready to follow up on Luna's attempt.

"What?" Doctor Facilier exclaimed.He grabbed at the crystal ball he was watching through as he saw Celas disappear. He snarled and hit the ball."Where did she go?"He began scanning through all the floors looking for her.

 

Celas appeared in another hallway, it was dark and there was only silence."Where am I? This doesn't look like Castle Oblivion" she then looked around. "Interesting...It seems I managed to "enter" to the old Land of Departure"Celas walked around the different hallways and rooms, trying to find her way into the throne room."It's weird, this place is all twisted, rooms are in different places" the room suddenly flickered. Larxene, warned by his challenging shout, dodged out of the way of Aero's attack. She brought her arm around to punch at his with her daggers leading when Luna and Cody came charging. They hit and bore her to the ground. She began to prepare lightning to electrucute Luna and Cody when Lumiara appeared above them and brought his scythe down. It hit where Larxene's head had been, but it twisted and moved like cloth would, and avoided the scythe's razor blade. She lashed out with a foot and knocked the Graceful Assassin away while she charged up to zap Luna and Cody.

Successfully making contact with the disfigured Larxene, the dual Guardians made quick work of subduing her, which surprised them both. They pinned her on the ground, both of their arms occupied with holding back Larxene's and struggling to keep her in check as she tried wriggling her arms free. "Threat, subdued." Cody said through clenched teeth, trying his best to keep her pinned down. Luna was struggling as well to keep her pinned down, and managed to reply back with a simple "Nice work." They both looked at what was supposed to be her head, trying to figure out her next move and anticipate accordingly.

 

Cody was the first to realize what she had planned when he noticed the unmistakable smell of ionized air emanating from the creature. Before pushing Luna off of her so he could take the full brunt of the counter-attack, Lumiara's scythe came into full view, startling them both. "What the?!" he exclaimed, speaking for both himself and Luna, "at least give us a warning before doing something like that! Wait... what-" His plea suddenly became stupid when they witnessed that the weapon missed its intended target and Lumiara was sent back by a kick. We forgot to pin her legs. Of all the basics, we forgot that...

 

Feeling the tingle of the electrically charged air around him, Cody pushed Luna off and braced for the charge. As the surge of electricity coursed throughout his body, he tried to fight the pain before succumbing from the attack.
