(Alright, lads and lasses. Here we go.)

 

The yellow eyes of Heartless Shadows were the only thing visible in the dark cave. There was a bigger Heartless in another chamber that had been terrorizing a local town, the perfect target for an aspiring hero. A perfect location.

Suddenly, the Heartless Shadows sensed a heart in the cave with them. They began to swarm for this treat, but were met by the crackle of lightning and flames. Soon, not even the light of Heartless eyes illuminated the darkness. A mechanical light snapped on after it was set up on a wall. Below it, where the light pooled, a poster was put up. It told those that read it to a place to go and a time to be there.

The place, The Old Mansion in Twilight Town.

The time stated was one word. Now.

The figure that put the poster up stepped back to look at it. It was there for the bold and skilled to find. If they could reach it, they could help save the worlds. Of course, this poster and others like it were for those the figure had missed. Personal invitations had already been sent. It just remained to see who would come.

The figure stepped fully out of the pool of light and was gone from that world.

 

 

Standing in the main foyer of the Old Mansion in Twilight Town was Theek Shalma. He began to tap his foot, trying to contain his impatience. There were many things to be done, but he couldn't put off what was going to happen. It was too importance, too big an opportunity. He only hoped his waiting would be rewarded.

"Sunrise."A single word. A powerful word. Because, behind it, was the fury of ten thousand suns. More then being half of her, Ori had been half her power.Oriana...Zion rose higher, ignoring Lumiara, and felt the power flow through her. She charged her attack, To Rend The Coming Dawn gone and done with. Her final attack was nothing compared to what she was about to do."You think killing Ori would have broken me? You think your darkness scares me?"Her words, quiet and dangerous, were mere comforts to Zion."The dawn has arrived, Xatsuno. The new dawn, the herald of your destruction..."

......

Xion merely knelt down with her, then hugged the girl's head into her shouler. Zion's wings enclosed them from view."Yes, Lumiara. I do plan to use that Light." She said before they were cocooned in light, leaving everyone to find for themselves at whatever came next...at least for the moment.

As Zion unleashed her attack, Luna, Cody and his entities could only stare in shock and awe as the new wave of heartless were obliterated by her special move. As she finished and Xion went over to her, the entities made good on the lapse of peace. "Hey, sir" the Heartless Striker directed at Cody, "can you explain why we're here?"

 

"Who are you?" Cody asked, puzzled by his own heartless' question.

 

"I'm supposed to be your heart, personified sir." he then pointed to the nobody Sentinel. "And he's supposed to be your body, personified... er.... sir."

 

The sentinel then piped in. "The only thing wrong here is that you're still you and not the Shielding Lingering Will. But... any reason why you have my wingblades even though I'm standing right here, sir? I thought that was exclusively mine."

 

Before Cody could even open his mouth to talk, the Striker looked over to Luna. "Oh, by the way" he exclaimed, wearing a huge smile on his face before pointing at himself and bursting into a laugh, "Lemme just tell you right now, he loves you! This is his heart speaking without that darn Will of his beating me into submission!" The Sentinel started to chuckle thanks to the fragment of heart, giving him most of the range of emotions. "I'd chime in" he started, "but since I'm his body, well... Let's just say it'd get a little uh... poetically vivid. But I'll tell you this much, whenever you hug him, it's... a sensation that I yearn to feel again ever since Kairi did the same, and what I would give to hold you in my arms forever." Luna could only stand there, mouth agape as Cody's heart and body admitted his repressed feelings. Cody stood there, dumbfounded for seeing his entities for the first time in his life.

 

The striker pointed at Cody and laughed as the Sentinel playfully rubbed his head. "C'mon sir! Admit it!" the Sentinel playfully barked. "Naw, he's too shy and afraid!" the Striker managed to say between guffaws. At this point, Luna was laughing as well from the little show that his two entities were putting up, especially his heartless. As the Striker managed to calm down a little, he managed to say, "But I'll tell ya Luna. Past that cold, harsh, toughened exterior, he's a softy. Especially after what Kairi did to me er... I mean him." He began to trail off as he whispered, still a big smile on his face, "She showed me... that night..."

 

"Wait a minute" Cody interjected, "If you two are supposed to be me, then... why am I looking at you?"

 

The Sentinel shrugged. "Beats me. But I think our free time is over. Lets try remerging." "Party pooper!" the Striker playfully yelled as he reached out to Cody.

 

Both entities placed a hand on Cody's shoulder before closing their eyes. Nothing happened. "aww crap." the Sentinel whispered, "This isn't good." Luna offered a suggestion. "Cody, why not try going into your drive form? This is quite an anomaly you got here, and maybe doing that can fix this."

 

"Sounds crazy enough to work." the Striker added, "or the most stupidest thing he and by extension us will ever do."

Lumiara watched Zion's attack with some astonishment. He hadn't expected that kind of raw power from Light. Perhaps he had been wrong about that element. After that, he ran forward to peer down at the battle between Xatsuno and Aero.

"What ever you do," he said, looking at Luna and the Codys, "I won't rest just yet."

 

Ienzo helped the guardians as he could with the dark that manifested near them. He should have guessed that Xatsuno had a strike planned for this place, and it would have worked, if Ienzo and Dilan hadn't gotten the Guardians' help. A change influenced by what Xatsuno had said of what he had seen.

"Who's here?" He asked one of the closest Gaurdians.

 

"What?" Elenar asked after Celas's explanation. "Moving here and taking over was just to find some kid in a hidden room?"

She always suspected that Xemnas had other motives for making Castle Oblivion a base, but had thought it would be something more...impressive.

"What's so important about this kid?"

She wasn't sure she liked the sound of "Wheel of Fate". She was already having enough problems as it was, with out someone. Telling her she didn't really have a choice in what she was doing.

More Heartless begin to appear in Radiant Garden, as even more Heartless appear in Twilight Town and many other Worlds. The two Darksides keep trying to destroy the machine with their hands. Xatsuno snaps a finger and freezes Time Aero, and he snaps a finger, and up to a million Tempo Firagas and lasers of Darkness appear in midair, being aimed at Aero. Xatsuno then snaps a finger again, and Time unfreezes, and the Tempo Firagas and lasers shoot right at Aero, who blocks most of them, but get's hit by some of them in the process. Xatsuno laughs sadistically, as he speaks to Aero by saying. "See the extent of my power? You cannot even match up to it, the one who defeated me 300 years ago was at the same power as Xetrodon and I. You are merely just an INSECT.." Said Xatsuno, mocking Aero and his strength, as he comments on his own strength. Aero grunts and heals himself with Curaga, as he speaks to Xatsuno by saying. "You're wrong, it's true that you may be VERY powerful, but even YOU have a weakness, and I'll find it!" Shouted Aero, not giving up the battle. Aero casts another Holy spell at Xatsuno, which throws Xatsuno to another rocky wall. Xatsuno get's up and heals himself using Darkness, and speaks to Aero by saying. "You cannot stop what Time has in store.. Your actions will be for naught.." Said Xatsuno, telling Aero that his actions will not change the result of "The Purge Of Light".

More heartless started appearing, more then Zion could face yet again. Her power weakened considerably and with two fresh Darksides back, she and Xion couldn't do it again. Not even Cody could...

Zion smiled, and Xion knew that smile.

"Kelsi?"

"Just the herald."

She stood, wings flared out. "CODY! LUNA! Five minutes! Keep people safe for FIVE minutes! That is all you need to do right now! I trust you will be able to hold the line."

 

Spinning her Keyblade, she entered a loose fighting stance. "The Restoration Committee has the main town defended. Xion and I can move out and hold the chasm, keep the Heartless from breaking through and back into the town. Cody, take your...Guardians...and clean up any stragglers that the Restoration Committee can't get to. Meet at the Chasm..."

She frowned. "Because right now, I highly doubt we're gonna be facing just that wave, and not just a couple thousand."

As Xion ran towards the Chasm, Zion rose into the air. "Just hold the line, Cody. Keep Luna safe." Spinning her blade idly, she took a breath. "I can't hold the line. My power's nearly gone. Barely can fly..."

She looked determined. "You got three minutes. Betcha can't stick it."

 

And Zion was off, and as she approached the Chasm, saw Xion holding them off with blasts of magic and strikes from her Keyblade.

Sighing, Zion dived in, using her wings as shields. "Sorry I'm late. Can't seem to stop talking."

"I know how to stop that."

"Let it at home babe."

"I know."

Zion threw her Keyblade using Strike Raid. "Can't use Salvation Raid. Seems I gotta go old school."

"Poor Zion. Gets tied up, gets awesome abilities, gets me, and complains? Tsk." Xion unleashed Ragnarok, blasting away a brace of oncoming heartless. "Less bitching, more killing."

With a few fancy strikes, Zion's back to back with Xion.

"Longest five minutes ever." they said in unison.

Upon seeing yet another daunting wave of innumerable heartless, Cody could only look at the sea of darkness as he tightened his grip on both his weapons. Getting a close up look at the aura that was emanating from his heart, Luna could only stare in shock as he ran off to combat the nearby sea of heartless. "It's.... disintegrating." she softly warned the entities. "Those laser shots from his rifle.... that was a piece of his heart.... weaponized." The two entities looked at each other, then back to her. "Someone has to restrain him" the striker started, "and Luna, you'll have to heal his heart and fix that lens of his, fast." The Sentinel nodded in agreement before flaring out his wingblades and sending them off to make a clearing around them. 

 

"CODY! LUNA! Five minutes! Keep people safe for FIVE minutes! That is all you need to do right now! I trust you will be able to hold the line."

 

With Zion and Xion heading out to combat the sea of heartless outside the town walls, Luna acknowledged their warning as she threw out a couple of her magic smoke bombs. As they closed in another nearby sea of heartless, she shot the silver orbs with her keyblade. A large white cloud formed around them before exploding with light, devastating the surrounding darkness. With the immediate surroundings clear, she focused her attention to Cody, who was nowhere in sight until she looked up.

 

A tiny speck in the sky, she saw yet another beam of light shooting towards the sky above. "He's doing it again!" she screamed to the entities, fearful that she was too late to help. Another spectacular explosion, another rainfall of arrow-projectiles resulted from Cody's attempt to keep the skies clean and clear out the surrounding heartless. There were too many for the arrows to clear, and once the rain of light had stopped, many still remain. Exhausted and weak now for weaponizing his heart for the 3rd time, Cody fell from the skies as he jettisoned his wingblades to carry out laser strikes from above and crash landed near the trio, barely conscious and moving. Luna rushed to his side before immediately trying to heal him, placing a hand over his heart and his lens in n attempt to fix it. As a green glow formed over her hands, the Sentinel was busy keeping the area cleared for Luna to work while the Striker was out helping the restoration committee.

 

Meanwhile... In the Old Mansion.

"Who's here?" Selene heard Ienzo ask.

 

"There's Cinderella, Belle, and Alice so far" she immediately replied, "So that means me,Two, and Six are here!" The other two Guardians had turned their keyblades against themselves, forming a collective total of 7 Guardians at the old mansion that were fighting the darkness and keeping the princesses that were already there safe. "If the other princesses get here, it'll be easier to fight against these heartless with more of our own to show up!"

"What?" Elenar asked after Celas's explanation. Celas looked at Elenar once again."You don't know? Alright, I will tell you a small story"she sighed and crossed her arms, a distant look in her eyes."This is the story of a young boy who shought a way to escape his homeworld, how he managed to become a Keyblade Wielder and with the passing of years into a powerful Keyblade Master. This man who learned everything he could about the Keyblade and the mysteries surrounding it, this man who wished to witness what was beyond the legendary Keyblade War."Celas looked at the ceiling."This man went by the name of....Xehanort. Master Xehanort, in a last attempt to witness the Keyblade War possessed the body of another Keyblade Wielder, his name was Terra. This young man became Master Xehanort's new vessel and before the fall of Radiant Garden he splitted into a Heartless and a Nobody, "Ansem" and "Xemnas".She smiled a little at the thought of Xemnas."The reason this boy is so important is because I think Xemnas feels attached to him, just like his "true" self did, just like Terra did in the past."Celas stopped walking and looked at one of the hallways."It's close, we are almost there" she nodded. "Ventus needs to wake up, the heroes will need him as one of the Guardians of Light against the thirteen darknessess of Master Xehanort"

Then came a hail of light, then sonic booms.

 

The chasm shook with railgun impacts, the Heartless exploding with the light rain. Missiles and more railgun shots shook the town, but in the end the fire stopped, and Zion stood. "Be right back."

 

She flew over the devastation, even the Darksides gone as she approached Luna.

 

She flew fast and hard, landing in a skid beside Luna. "Heartless warships have arrived in orbit. Kelsi will hold them off for as long as she can, but my end is out of power and Xion doesn't have this power yet. Luna. Please tell me you guardians have a plan, because I'm out of options. I can only fight them the old fashioned way, with Xion. But even with...with Ori back...I can't continue for long."

Still trying to wake up Cody, Luna was frantically trying to do whatever it took to get him back up. Her hands were glowing with a green aura, one over his severely cracked  lens and the other over his heart as she tried to heal him to the best of her abilities. The longer she kept at it, the more hopeless the situation deemed to look as she could feel his life essence practically slipping through her hands. "C'mon Nocturne! WAKE UP!" she screamed at the unconscious Cody as she shook him, hoping that it would somewhat help. Miraculously, Cody opened his eyes as he suddenly gasped for more air, his heart relighting itself for what was going to be its final stand. Luna breathed a sigh of relief as he got up and managed to stand on his own, but quickly took it back as he fell on both knees and was clutching his heart. The Sentinel had taken over his job at this point, already in the sky and raining down precision laser strikes on individual heartless, which was horrifically inefficient at this point. The Striker finally popped back into the vicinity before taking up defenses around Luna, doing his best to protect her from the wave of heartless. As a thunderous roar echoed from the distance, the skyward Sentinel could only stare in awe at the hail of light and weaponry knowing full well that Zion and Xion were somewhere there. "Hope that was friendly..." he remarked to himself as he continued the aerial defense, now feeling somewhat incompetent about what he was doing.

 

It was at this point that Zion landed next to Luna. "Heartless warships have arrived in orbit." she told Luna. "Kelsi will hold them off for as long as she can, but my end is out of power and Xion doesn't have this power yet. Luna. Please tell me you guardians have a plan, because I'm out of options. I can only fight them the old fashioned way, with Xion. But even with...with Ori back...I can't continue for long."

 

"I don't think Cody much longer, and I don't know if the others have arrived yet." Luna alerted Zion. "If the others are here, you'd know. They'd take care of all this in a snap."  She kneeled beside Cody before continuing to heal him and warned him of his condition. "Don't try to clear the skies again, Cody. If you do, I can already tell that it'll be your last. We just need to hold out for 4 more minutes." He looked at her before submitting to the cautionary message. "Ok then. No more of that. Patch me up, then turn your keyblade against yourself. I don't care about your specialization, we need all blades active."

 

As soon as she finished healing him to the best of her abilities, he stood up again. "Now, lets go buy ourselves some time."

(If the Darksides are attacking Even and his machine, then they are in Radiant Garden and inside the castle, in the big room where the MCP was spawning heartless in KH2.)Even calmly used Diamond Dust on one Darkside as the machine, outfitted with some shields, focused the dark orb's energies and took control of the other one. The two giant Heartless tackled each other and went down fighting.Lumiara had heard Zion's call for five more minutes and responded. With the grace his title proclaimed and the efficiency of another robed scythe wielder, he cut a swath through the renewed heartless ranks. He only stopped when Zion called for cover. He got from out behind some rubble when the barrage of ship fire stopped. Calmly brushing some dust off himself, Lumiara regrouped with Luna and Zion. "Well, nice to know we have friends in high places." He commented. Ienzo nodded to Selene's report."Which means we should get two more in...two, one." He said.On cue, a portal opened, depositing Aurora, Jasmine, Dilan and any guardians that where found hanging about. "Splendid." The Cloaked Schemer said. "The last will get to the lab soon."He snapped his fingers and opened a portal to Even's location. "Let's move." Dilan called out to the princesses and their guardians.Elenar had an odd look on her face when Celas finished her explanation."Okay, old guy in young guys body?" She said. "That's the creepiest thing I've heard in a long while, and I use to chat to Xigbar."With a pensive look, she mulled over the rest of what Celas had said."You really think this friendship thing is that powerful?"

Xatsuno smirks evilly as he snaps a finger and a portal appears behind Even's machine. A big beam of  Darkness is fired from the portal at the machine. Aero teleports to in front of Xatsuno, and he begins to lock Keyblades with Xatsuno. Aero then speaks to Xatsuno by saying. "This for all the people that have fallen!" Shouted Aero, as he attacks Xatsuno. Xatsuno laughs evilly as he pushes Aero back with an Ultima spell, causing Aero to be thrown back. He then speaks to Aero by saying. "You pathetic mortal... You actually think that YOU can beat ME? You are just a CHILD. Why don't you FALL OVER!" Shouted Xatsuno, as he prepares to attack Aero again. Xatsuno summons two clones of himself, and he and the clones circle around Aero, shooting lasers of Darkness at him. Aero get's hit by some of them, but he blocks the attack as it continues on.

Elenar had an odd look on her face when Celas finished her explanation."Okay, old guy in young guys body?" She said. "That's the creepiest thing I've heard in a long while, and I use to chat to Xigbar."With a pensive look, she mulled over the rest of what Celas had said."You really think this friendship thing is that powerful?"

 

Celas nodded and laughed."Xiggy is a creep that's for sure, but what can you expect of a man who sold his soul to Master Xehanort to get the chance to get his hands on a Keyblade"she shook her head and sighed."And about "Friendship" being powerful?" Celas said while closing her eyes. "I guess...it's different for everyone. Take my example, I am alone yet I am strong"she turned to Elenar and nodded."But if you take Sora's example you can see he can grow stronger with the bonds he share with his friends." Celas smiled. "It was the same with Terra, the boy who sleeps in this castle and the Keyblade Master who is lost in the Realm of Darkness. What I want to say is that only you can answer if a "friendship" can make you grow stronger"Celas reasumed her way and remained silent for a couple of minutes."I have a question if you don't mind. How exactly did you became a Nobody? And while being Larxene, why did you enjoyed inflicting pain to others? Celas asked. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to, I'm just curious about it"

As Princess Aurora and Princess Jasmine arrived at the Old Mansion via dark corridor, Auron and Aquila Zero-Three were closely behind them. They walked in as soon as the other Guardians were finished moping up the remaining heartless. As Auron assessed his surroundings, Stella and Estelles were busy remerging themselves and making post battle assessments. "Where's Nocturne and Luna?" he coldly asked the group of Guardians as realized they were two heads short of a full reunion. "Knowing Luna, she's probably with him right now" Aquila replied indifferently, "And for once, that may be a good thing." They all nodded in agreement. "He's in trouble."

 

"Let's move" The princesses and their respective Guardians heard Dilan say. As the portal finished forming, Stella, Selene, and Aquila charged in first to secure the immediate area in front of the end portal. Auron and Stella stayed behind until the last princess was through, then followed suit.

 

Meanwhile.... outside the castle in Radiant Garden. 

The Restoration Committee members, the Sentinel and the Striker were still against formidable odds, but somehow managed to not only survive but actually turn the invasion of the darkness into a stalemate. With Cody somewhat healed properly by Luna, he stood up and readied himself with his weapons. As he started heading for a nearby rooftop, Luna summoned her keyblade before turning it against herself. After her split into three, two of her entities immediately leaped into the air to meet with Cody's nobody, before floating next to him and casting their magic.

 

A faint aura of white light started to envelop the whole town, and as Cody saw what they were doing, managed to crack a smile. As the aura's sphere of influence passed him and ended at the outskirts of the town, he took a deep breath before slowly exhaling, their magic healing him by a minute amount but more importantly calming him down. "Alright, Luna!" he remarked to himself as he pounced on another pocket of heartless. As he fought to eliminate them, with every breath he took, he calmed down even more until he was back to his usual self; calm, cool, and collected. Luna's remaining entity was all over the place, a black and blue blur as it zipped around Cody and took out a few heartless of its own before regrouping to Cody, standing back to back. "Up for the challenge?" he yelled over his shoulders as another wave of heartless quickly approached them. "Just try and keep up." was the entity's response before disappearing again in a blur towards the enemy, punching a hole in the wall of heartless as Cody fired off a shot and ran towards them, keyblade ready to turn the tide of this battle.

The machine cracklef and fizzed for a moment as the dark beam damaged it, but then the beam was absorbed, its energies used to fix the damage it had done. Even allowed himself a self satisfied smile. With the calibrations he had done, the dark orb in the machine could absorb and reuse any dark energy used against it. There were limits, of course, but not even Xehanort could push past those limits while distracted, as Xatsuno would be if in battle.

He stood up as Ienzo, Dilan, six of the princesses of heart and most of their guardians arrived.

"We ready?" The Cloaked Schemer asked.

"Just barely." Even answered. "The modifications we discussed worked like a charm."

"Excellent. Keep her going."

Ienzo turned and gestured the princesses into seven seats that were unfolding around the machine.

"I which i had time to explain what was going on, but it will have to wait." Ienzo said to the princesses.

Dilan eyed the guardians.

"You know your duty." he told them. "Anything that comes after the princesses or the machine needs to be mince meat before they can get close. Our enemies can teleport, so be careful."

Even looked around, his face looking puzzled.

"Where is number 7?" he asked.

"She and her escorts will be here soon." Ienzo said with a smile.

 

Lumiara found himself with out many enemies thanks to Luna and Cody. There were still some to go around, but the Graceful Assassin had other ideas. He broke away from the others and sliced his way for the hole Xatsuno and Aero had gone down.

 

Elenar's face became a mask after Celas's questions.

"I don't know if I want to talk about that." She answered in a low voice.

She was silent for a few moments before speaking again.

"I was mean and heartless because I thought I could feel something that way. You can't even feel emotional pain as a Nobody, and I wanted to feel something. Anything. Then, it just became the easiest way to act."

Another portal appears behind the machine and a big beam of Light appears to hit the machine. Xatsuno can sense Lumiara trying to get into the battle. He snaps a finger and makes the force field stronger. Aero then jumps at him and attacks him by slashing him rapidly, but Xatsuno blocks the attacks with his Keyblade and fires a Tempo Firaga and pushes Aero back. Xatsuno then speaks to Aero by saying. "Face it you and your allies cannot win.." Said Xatsuno, mocking Aero. Aero speaks to Xatsuno by saying. "Don't think so!" Shouted Aero, not planning to give up on the battle.

Celas sighed and shook her head."Can't feel emotional pain?" she said without turning back. "My poor Elenar, if you got told that "You can't feel emotional pain, you can't feel anything" by Xemnas then I am sorry to say this but it was a lie."

 

She stopped walking and looked between different hallways, choosing to keep walking through the one in the center.

 

"Even if the heart is lost, stolen or devoured by darkness, the body left behind will try to replace it, the first chance it gets, for as many time as it takes. You weren't there to see the rise of Roxas."

 

For a moment Celas kept silent, thinking about the former Nobody who managed to be whole again.

 

"Through the course of a year Roxas became aware of himself, he showed the signs of one who had a heart, he could feel happiness, fear, confusion and sadness. And thanks to that he saw a way to be free of Xemnas' plan to make Kingdom Hearts. This can be your second chance to redeem yourself for your actions as a Nobody, of course, no one but you can chose the path you want to walk, let it be the Road of Light, the Road of Darkness or the Road Between"

 

Celas came to a sudden stop and looked around.

 

"I can feel it, it's really close...the Chamber of Waking is close." she said while summoning her Keyblade. "It is almost time to wake up Ventus" she thought and began to walk once again.

Outside the castle in the town square, Cody and Luna's entities were busying themselves with trying to push back the endless sea of heartless. Despite Luna's healing and calming aura that was being casted by her nobody and heartless, the fatigue from the relentless battles before Luna got involved started to take a toll on him. As he was busy targeting a knight and readying his keyblade, he failed to notice the obvious darkside just off to his side and out of his peripheral vision. The Darkside attacked, trying to take a slash at him before he saw the hand out of the corner of his eye. Trying to block it, he raised his keyblade into a defensive position, but failed to properly brace himself as the hand connected with the blade, for once actually breaking his defense as the shaft of the weapon impacted his protective helmet, knocking him unconscious and sending him flying towards the castle. Luna's Will saw what had happened and shrieked in terror as it tried to intercept him and cushion his landing.

 

Meanwhile... in the castle.

As the princesses of light hesitantly obeyed Ienzo, the Guardians eyed the machine while taking up defensive positions around the place. They were looking for weaknesses in the machine, to both protect from the enemy should they get close but also to strike in case it was to harm the princesses all along.

 

"I wish i had time to explain what was going on, but it will have to wait." Ienzo said to the princesses as Dilan eyed the guardians.

"You know your duty. Anything that comes after the princesses or the machine needs to be mince meat before they can get close. Our enemies can teleport, so be careful."

 

The Guardians altered their defenses accordingly with the new information, some splitting into three and others closely monitoring the princesses and the machine.

 

"Where is number 7?" One of them heard Even ask.

"She and her escorts will be here soon." They heard Ienzo reply. Aquila thought out loud for everyone to hear. "Let's see, There's Princess Aurora, Alice, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, and Snow White, so that means we're just missing-"

 

Her sentence was cut short as Cody crashed through the window above and slammed into the opposite wall, the shards of broken glass thankfully not getting anywhere near anyone. The princesses all gasped in shock as Cody fell to the ground next to all of them, unmoving and unconscious. Stella and Selene immediately went to check on him. "This isn't good." Selene warned the others, "Nocturne is out cold. If he's like this, then..." There was a moment of silence as the gravity of the situation settled in. Selene thankfully broke the silence. "We'd better find Luna." On cue, Luna's Will arrived via a door in the back of the room. "Hey there!" the entity announced, "I dunno if locking the doors behind me while I was entering here will slow down the sea of darkness outside, but I did just in case!" The entity noticed the unconscious Cody before quickly kneeling right next to him, casting its healing magic and trying to wake him.

 

"What's going on outside?" Luna's Will heard Aquila ask.

"Me and Nocturne's heartless and nobody are currently fighting outside, and it looks lik-"

"Wait, his heartless and nobody are outside fighting? But, he's whole... and right here."

"I can't explain thoroughly at the moment, but that is what's going on right now."

 

Cody finally awoke, dazed and weak from the recent hit. He slowly looked around and noticed the princesses of heart. "Don't... tell me... she's... here." he whispered, trying his best to get back on his feet.

As soon as the portal, doubtless made by Xatsuno, appeared, Dilan was before it. He used his power over wind to spin his spear at high speeds, making it a shield. The bolt of light hit the spinning spear and was absorbed.

"Shields, Even!" Dilan barked at his colleague.

Even hit a few buttons and a shield sprang to life around the machine and princesses.

"That will help with any more teleported surprises." He said, summoning Frozen Pride. "Odd, though. I was unaware light was in our enemy's arsenal."

"He's using it because deep down he knows his timeframe is running out." Ienzo said, calmly. "What he clams is the future is merely a possibility. He only has a little time to make it certain."

Ienzo moved and offered Cody a hand up.

"She will be here soon, I hope. Don't worry, she is bringing her own honor guard."

 

Lumiara killed a few Heartless as he studied the force field in his way. So, the dark creature had a personal problem with young Aero. Enough to expend energy to keep them separate from the rest of the battle. Fine by him. In among his sweeping strikes against the heartless, he began bashing at the field. Either Xatsuno would have to impart more of his power to keep it up, or it would fail.

 

Up in the sky above Radiant Garden, another ship entered the fray. A Highwind design Gummi Ship maneuvered through the space battle and fired at passing Heartless ships, but kept on its course to Radiant Garden's surface.

 

Elenar scoffed.

"Spend time cut off from all feelings and tell me how easy it is to keep them all." She snapped. "I don't know what you are talking about, replicating a heart. All I know is that anger and pain were the easiest to remember, so I used them to keep a hold of the life I lost."

Though she sounded confident, inside she wasn't so. Had Xemnas messed with her? Made her more into a sadistic monster?

Elenar silently cursed her uncertainty. At least as a Nobody, she hadn't had to deal with the emotional turmoil uncertainty brought with it.

"How do you know where this chamber is?" Elenar asked Celas, her voice still a little cross.

Heartless ships closed in on the lone gummi vessel, but as a large one tried to block it's path, a lance of fire blasted it off course. Missiles followed, swaths of Heartless disintegrating.

 

From the Heavens descended shipa of all shapes and sizes, releasing clouds of fighters and bombers. Transports followed soon after, and the sky was filled with tracer rounds and laser bolts, magic blasts and explosions. Bombs dropped, destroying vast swathes of heartless outside populated areas.

Another round of orbital bombardment cleared the Highwind's path, and a sole frigate came above Zion and friends, releaaing a blonde-hairedwoman in a black tank top, ripped jeans, and toting an assault rifle.

"Little Highwind ran into trouble. Good thing we were in the neighborhood."

"Sarah."

"And me."

 

Leah Shepard hopped down, electricity crackling on one hand. "So. Heartless invasion. Purge of the Light. Good stuff. I thought we'd rename this Waffles Day."

Zion nodded. "Aero is fighting Xatsuno. We need to clear these Heartless."

With a nod, Sarah Aether ran off, followed by a pink-haired girl with a rapier and Leah.

 

Zion and Xion summoned their Keyblades again.

"We got everything. Empire forces led by James Hawkins, the Rebel Allianxe...hell, Terminal sent-"

Then there were mecha, which just added to the pure destruction.

"In short: Sarah brought Avalon, their allies, and the kitchen sink."

 

With renewed vigor, and over two hundred ships raining fire and sending down troops, the two threw themselves at the Heartless, buying Aero and the old Organization time.

 

At the mansion, a crack team of Spartan 2s deployed, hiding and doing what they did best: Killing things.A

Celas remained silent for a few minutes before giving the most simple answer to Elenar."I don't. I just got a feeling, it is like it's calling me, waiting for me to find it. That and I'm following me heart, it tells me to follow that feeling"She answered in a calm tone while thinking what Elenar said before."Also, I did spend some time cut off from my feelings and I can still do it" She smiled while waving her Keyblade a little. "This little trinket allowed me, or to be precise, it allowed my late Master to split my whole self. I had to spend some time with my Heartless and Nobody counterparts" Celas shivered slightly at the memory. "and if you would like I could do the same to you, of course, the only outcome of having you come in contact with "Larxene" is that you will feel more guilty over the course of time she is here, as for your Heartless counterpart I'm not so sure."She then stopped walking and turned to look at Elenar, pointing her Keyblade at her."So? Would you like to have a little chat with Larxene? Perhaps I am wrong and you will feel better, besides, we still have some free time before finding the chamber."  When she finished talking, a small orb of darkness began to gather on the tip of the Keyblade.

More portals appear shooting beams of Light at the machine. More, and more Heartless appear in Radiant Garden, as Xatsuno and Aero's clash continues deep in the core. Xatsuno is seen firing bolts of Darkness from his Keyblade at Aero, who is firing bolts of Light at Xatsuno while dodging the attacks. Xatsuno then speaks to Aero by saying. "Go down you!" Shouted Xatsuno, as he attacks Aero. Aero just keeps shooting bolts of Light at Xatsuno, and one of them hits his chest.

Cody heard Ienzo say as he collapsed onto the ground, too weak and fatigued to continue despite all that Luna and her entities had done. "They... better take good care of her." He weakly replied as he started to slip from consciousness, his heart slowly starting to disintegrate as the full damage of weaponizing and shooting it to the sky finally caught up. Luna's Will was trying desperately to halt the gradual destruction, but realized that it may be a lost cause as she felt his life force slipping from her hands. As the Spartans entered the room, some of the Guardians were shocked by the sudden reinforcements. "We're assuming that you're with us." Aquila remarked upon realizing that they didn't shoot everyone on sight.

 

Meanwhile... Outside in Radiant Garden.

Cody's Sentinel and Striker were still duking it out with the heartless, barely managing to keep it a stalemate as Luna's heartless and nobody continued their supportive magic. Noticing a flicker of light above, the Sentinel looked up to see a massive swarm of transports and ships of all shapes and sizes descending towards them. "We got company!" he shouted to the Striker on the ground, who was busy giving a darkside a hard time. "That's great!" he heard him shout back, "Just what we need! More bad guys!" 

 

"I think they're with us!" The Sentinel replied as he spotted Zion, Xion and now Serah immediately tackling the heartless threat. Thank goodness. We could really use the break. he thought to himself before recovering his wings and regrouping with the Striker. Luna's entities followed closely behind, still casting their supportive aura around the entire town.

"Thanks for the save." a young energetic male voice said over the radios to the ships that helped clear a path for the Highwind. "I hope to see you after this is over."

The Highwind rocketed through Radiant Garden's atmosphere and came into land near mid town. Before it was even done powering down, four figures were out and running for the castle. Kairi took in the view of her old home as Sora, Riku and Lea formed a perimeter around her.

 

"Oh, I believe that her escort care about her as much as you do." Ienzo said to Cody before turning his attention to the portal and light attacks. Like Xatsuno's own force field, the shield protecting the machine and princesses held against the attacks.

"We need to stop this fire." Dilan said. "The shield will hold for now, but not indefinitely."

"If only we could redirect them." Ienzo mused.

Almost directly after he said it, small portals appeared in front the portal's the light beams came from, redirecting the light else where.

"Ienzo?" Even asked, looking at the new portals, which moved to counter any attacking moves of the other portals.

"No." Ienzo answered, and smiled grimly as he thought he heard an echoed "As if!"

 

With the increased reinforcements, Lumiara turned his entire attention against pounding on Xatsuno's force field. a moment later, the light beams that had been directed against the machine where redirected through portals against the force field. Lumiara smiled as he started to make cracks in the field.

 

Elenar glared at Celas.

"I don't have to talk to 'Larxene.'" She snapped. "I was her! I don't need to be taken apart again just to get more guilt."

Small sparks of lightning jumped between her fingers.

"Now, get that think out of my face and worry about saving someone who wants to be, like that kid you are looking for."
