(Alright, lads and lasses. Here we go.)

 

The yellow eyes of Heartless Shadows were the only thing visible in the dark cave. There was a bigger Heartless in another chamber that had been terrorizing a local town, the perfect target for an aspiring hero. A perfect location.

Suddenly, the Heartless Shadows sensed a heart in the cave with them. They began to swarm for this treat, but were met by the crackle of lightning and flames. Soon, not even the light of Heartless eyes illuminated the darkness. A mechanical light snapped on after it was set up on a wall. Below it, where the light pooled, a poster was put up. It told those that read it to a place to go and a time to be there.

The place, The Old Mansion in Twilight Town.

The time stated was one word. Now.

The figure that put the poster up stepped back to look at it. It was there for the bold and skilled to find. If they could reach it, they could help save the worlds. Of course, this poster and others like it were for those the figure had missed. Personal invitations had already been sent. It just remained to see who would come.

The figure stepped fully out of the pool of light and was gone from that world.

 

 

Standing in the main foyer of the Old Mansion in Twilight Town was Theek Shalma. He began to tap his foot, trying to contain his impatience. There were many things to be done, but he couldn't put off what was going to happen. It was too importance, too big an opportunity. He only hoped his waiting would be rewarded.

Master Thomas looks at Even with a stern look on his face and nods at him. He is still wondering why would Darkshionus would want to take over another reality. He folds his arms as he looks on at Even. Master Thomas then speaks to Even by saying. "Yeah, Lacuna is sometimes "Weird", because she opposed BOTH Heroes and Xehanort.... I'll assist you if needed.." Said Master Thomas, talking to Even.

Lacuna stared at the Keyblade Celas was offering her."You do know, I was taunting the guy, right?" She said in a incredulous tone. "He recently lost his apprentice and it's a lot of fun taking that guy down a peg."She shook her head."But, unfortunately for you"The Void Witch's glowing hand which she held at Ansem the Wise's throat darted around to the back of the old man's neck. The glow left her hand and buried itself into his neck. She then vanished just as Elenar's electrically charged knifes sliced through where she had just been, letting the old man fall.She reappeared right in front of Celas, grabbing the hilt of the offered Keyblade. Power seemed to hum off the blade from the Witch's touch."I still want one of these." Lacuna finished, winking at Celas.Even continued some calculations, then looked up at Master Thomas."If you are not too busy, I could use some help from someone with a Keyblade." The Chilly Academic said. "If this Lacuna proves...uncooperative, I'd like to make sure we can still get you back from where you came from."

Zion and Xion appeared behind Luna, Zion with both double ended Keyblades out, wings flared. Xion had her sole Keyblade drawn."We're with you Luna." They said."You take the lead. Just tell us who to drop the hammer on." Zion said.Xion remained quiet, nodding in agreement.

It shouldn't have happened...

 

Damn...

Cody was too late, pulling the trigger just as Lacuna's hand lit up, sending the boltshot after the deed was done. Almost instantaneously, Luna ran up to catch the falling cloaked figure as Lacuna made her way to Celas. She was on damage control, her healing powers in full force as she tried to stabilize the cloaked man. Cody was busy aligning another shot at Lacuna. Reloading his rifle, he zeroed in at the girl.

 

First move, one downed. Threat assessed, all restrictions cancelled. Retaliation protocols...

He sent another shot screaming towards the girl's legs, hoping to immobilize her so 'retrieval' for Even would be a snap.

 

"Zion! Xion! Go after that girl!" Luna frantically yelled, pointing at the person in question. She kneeled beside the man, and tried to stabilize his wounds. "Please be ok..." she whispered, hoping that Lacuna missed at making the damage lethal.

Xion sprinted over after Lacuna as Zion took flight, unleashing Albion Strike. Bolts of light began to rip up the ground around Lacuna, and Zion coated her Keyblades in blue-white light.

Zion prepared dual Faith raids while Xion sped up, entering Superglide.

It came as a surprise, but once again someone was losing their life because she had made a mistake."No..." the Keyblade Master whispered. "Not again.""I still want one of these" the Witch said.Her body could not move, it wasn't listening to her. The moment Lacuna touched the Keyblade, Celas felt a reaction."Even is she is like this...she have what it takes to be chosen by the Keyblade..." was her thought. " But I can't allow it, not after what she did."Celas's Keyblade began to vibrate slightly before it began to glow with a dark light."That was a bad move, I tried to solve this without using violence, but you chose the other path."The Dark Keyblade Wielded let her Keyblade go, but instead of falling, it remained on Lacuna's grip. The light covering it then vanished and in its place chains of darkness appeared from the hilt, wrapping themselves around Lacuna's body and vanishing around the area where her heart was supposed to be."I wont let you go anywhere, not even your power over Nothingness will let you escape the chains of darkness that have a hold on your heart."Celas then saw in the corner of her eye how the rest of the people began to attack Lacuna, only Luna went towards the cloaked figure trying to heal him and she did the same."Luna!" she said after kneeling next to the young girl. "Take this" the Keyblade Wielder took a small crystal out from one of her pockets. "This is a Gloscan Crystal, it will help you strengthen the power of healing spells, perhaps if you use it Master Ansem will have a chance to survive"Celas gave Luna the crystal and turned her head to watch the rest of the fight."I hope the crystal works, but I can only hope that my body can manage to endure the side effects" she thought to herself.

A low groaning sound escaped Lacuna's lips as Celas's dark chains went into her. Darkness crackled around her and to the close observer, it effected her face, as for a moment she looked different, but her half mask still cover most of her face. She jerkily tried to move towards Celas, but Cody's bolt hit her leg and she dropped to her knee with a scream. Xion's Light bolts sent her flying into the air, tossing her a few yards away. The Void Witch got up in time for Elenar's flying daggers to whizz by and slice through her cheek.

The Savage Nymph ran and jumped for Lacuna, a ball of Lightning in her hands. Lacuna screamed in pain and rage, causing a blast of darkness to extend around her, blowing Elenar away. Lacuna stood up cradling her face. She seemed to be throwing up dark chains.

"You made a mistake, girly." Lacuna said, hoarsely.

She looked up and took her hands away from her face, ripping the tattered remains of her half mask from her face. Her left cheek was gone and corresponding eye socket was empty, so that anyone could look into these holes and see a hollow space inside. No bones, no meat. Nothing. The Void Witch smiled horribly, revealing cracks in her skin like in a porcelain doll emanating from the hole in her cheek.

"You thought I had a heart to chain!" She yelled, madness twinkling in her remaining eye.

She struggled back onto her feet and balled up her fists, causing her Void Blades to extent.

"But that wasn't necessary. I'm not Going ANYWHERE!!"

Despite her injuries , Lacuna charged to meet Zion and Xion head on.

Some yards away, before Luna could use the crystal Celas had thrown her, Ienzo appeared beside her and put his hand on top of it.

"Just pumping healing magic into someone won't save them." He told her in a calm voice. "Save up the power till we can pin point the damage."

With that he moved opposite of Luna and pulled off the old man's hood. The Cloaked Schemer froze as he saw the face of the man he was trying to save.

"Master Ansem?" He breathed.

 

Even nodded and set to work on the computer.

"You'll have to be careful when transporting her." He explained absently. "Nothingness can have a corrosive effect on matter. Most of its limits and capabilities have not been charted yet."

There was a whirring sound out from the factory area the computer room in Radiant Garden's castle looked out on. A device was being constructed with a bar over head with manacles for arms and some on a lower bar for a person's feet.

"I'll want you to embune the locks on the holding device with the Keyblade's power." Even explained. "That should ensure that she will remain in the device."

The device, done with it's construction, was lowered to the platform in the huge room.

"Go on, I have some programming to do."

Celas was surprised when Ienzo showed up, but was glad he was there."Ienzo! this is not the time to be surprised because you found Master Ansem!" the Keyblade Wielder yelled. "You need to take him back to Radiant Garden before Lacuna tries to finish her job"A black mist gathered in the left hand of the girl and the Keyblade was back."We need to finish Lacuna right here and right now before she does that to us."It was a nasty sight, Lacuna was nothing like she was before, no, perhaps this was the real Lacuna, the real Void Witch."I'm exhausted...I can barely move or stand straight....but I won't stop, not now."Those thoughts were passing through Celas's mind, maybe she was not at full strength, but she was going to make sure Lacuna couldn't get near Ienzo, Luna or Ansem the Wise. The Keyblade Master was watching carefully just in case the Void Witch tried something to hurt Ienzo, Luna and, if possible, finish Ansem.

Somewhat relieved that the cloaked figure wasn't already gone, Luna focused whatever magic she had at her disposal to stabilize the wounds. She didn't care about her own safety, but didn't need to as Cody came up right behind her. "take this." Luna heard Celas suggest, "This is a Gloscan Crystal, it will help you strengthen the power of healing spells, perhaps if you use it Master Ansem will have a chance to survive."

"ignore that directive!" Cody shouted as he came running up. "Stabilize the guy, then get him outta here." Luna promptly took the crystal and put it to good use. It was at this point that the cloaked figure was revealed, and Ienzo was visibally shocked with who it was. "Ansem?" Cody echoed, "the same Ansem who tinkered with my ship and the Stopga pod? Not exactly how I wanted to meet the guy. I'll thank ya later. Ienzo, open up a portal now!" He darted off, moving to assist Zion and Xion.

 

"He's stable." Luna notified Ienzo and Celas. "Let's get him out of here, fast."

Master Thomas looks at Even and nods at him. He approaches the device with Keyblade in hand. He aims it at the locks of the device. Tyler came running in and speaks to Master Thomas by saying. "Master.... I remember everything now.... ALL of it..." Said Tyler, talking to Master Thomas. Master Thomas nods at Tyler as his Keyblade glows a white Light. Master Thomas then let's out beams of Light from the Keyblade and into the locks of the device.

Zion did a barrel roll and used the slight whirlwind to help speed out into a left bank, releasing another Albion Strike. Zion did an attack slide, striking Lacuna from below as she slid like a baseball player. The duo met up behind Lacuna, where Zion grabbed Xion's hand and pulled her up. The two took two breaths to recover before Zion stepped forward.

"Go back with Luna." She kissed Xion as deeply as she could, then broke away. "Love you Xi." She turned, golden Keyblade armor encasing her. "Dawn's Gospel." She said softly, and her wings flared, armored and ready. All four Keyblades orbited her, and Xion handed over Two Become One.

"All out?"

"Anyone with that creepy of a face needs a god thrashing." Two Become One started to orbit Zion now as Xion skirted the edges of the battlefield, heading for Luna.

 

Zion cracked her knuckles. "Wish you were here Ori. Wouldnt feel so alone."

(Yep)Ienzo snapped out of his stunned state and started picking up his old master as Luna used healing magic on him."That's enough." He admonished. "Save the rest for when we identify the problem." He concentrated and made a portal back to Radiant Garden. Lacuna dodged Zion's strike and jumped out of the way of Xion's slide. She landed on her feet and turned her one eye on the two warriors. She fired her Void Blades at Zion and Xion and ignited two new blades to go after them again when she felt Ienzo's portal open. She jerked around and stared wildly as Ienzo made for the portal. She ran forward and disappeared as she came into striking distance of Cody. She reappeared in front of Ienzo and made a grab for Ansem. Ienzo twisted, ramming Lacuna with his shoulder."Keep her down!" He yelled as he sprang back up and tossed Ansem into the portal."Excellent." Even called out to Thomas through loud speakers. "I might have you do it again, in case we have to use it."He pressed a few more buttons then whirled around as a portal opened behind him. He moved towards it and was nearly bowled over as Ansem was sent through.

Celas was taken by surprise by the speed of the Void Witch as she went from Zion and Xion to Cody then to Ienzo and Ansem."How is she doing this? her body is being torn apart and yet..." the young girl thought."Keep her down!" the young scientist yelled and tossed Ansem into the portal to Radiant Garden."Just go already!" the Keyblade Master yelled back, pointing her Keyblade at the Witch. "You don't have time to lecture us!"Chains of darkness shot from the Keyblade and wrapped around Lacuna, Celas pulled her with all the strength she could summon until the Witch was tossed away, ending surrounded by Zion, Cody and herself while Xion went with Luna."Stay there Witch!" the girl said while lifting her keyblade to the sky. "Will's cage!"The spot where they were standing suddenly got darker for a split second until chains appeared from all directions, surrounding the Keyblade Wielders along with the Void Witch and trapping them inside a dome made up of chains of both Light and Darkness."You are going to go back to the Nothingness whence you came"

Zion's wings flared. "Do not test me Witch. I have twice my old power; the pain of loss has not waned. Which means I don't care about holding back. I will destroy you with everything I posess, and I am far more then this." Her wings glowed. "Stand down."

Cody was rapidly responding to the situation, running towards Zion and passing by Xion as she went to Luna. Finally closing the distance between him and the witch, Celas surrounded him along with Lacuna in her magic cage. Not what I had in mind, but perfect for a non-lethal takedown he thought to himself as the looked around. He was surprised by the speed of the Witch, and actually doubted if a takedown was possible. Latching his arrow-rifle onto his back and summoning his keyblade, he formed a fist with his free left hand, crackling his knuckle as he prepped for a close confrontation. Luna was nearby, awestruck by the witch before coming to her senses and jumping through the portal with Ansem in tow.

 

"Keep her down!"

"You are going to go back to the Nothingness whence you came!"

 

Harsh words... Noticing that Zion was also in the magic cage with him, Cody breathed a sigh of relief. "Stand down." he heard Zion warn to the Witch. Speechless for her saying his usual line, Cody just assumed his battle stance, giving the witch one last chance to come peacefully. 

Master Thomas mentally contacts Zion as he fires more beams of Light into the locks of the device by saying. "Zion, do not destroy Lacuna, she is the ticket to Tyler and my return to our reality, where she also came from..." Said Master Thomas, talking to Zion. Tyler leans against the wall as he sees what his master is doing. Tyler then thinks to himself in his head with the following words. "Hmm..." Thought Tyler, thinking to himself in his head.

Lacuna glared at Celas, Zion and Cody as she sprang onto her feet. She seemed read to explode when she suddenly froze. She cocked her head to one side, her remaining eye undo using for a moment. She then slowly smiled.

"Sooo, you're not gonna hold back?" Lacuna asked Zion in a far away voice.

Her eye refocused and a mad grin spread across her face.

"Good!" She yelled and spun around, fire void bolts from her hands at Zion, Celas and Cody.

Outside the dome, Ienzo looked back. He should help with the crazy woman's capture, but Master Ansem...

He turned when he heard a groan to see Elenar limping over to him, clutching her side.

"You alright?" He asked.

"I've hurt worse talking to Vexen, I mean Even." Elenar quipped though winced after words. "Don't worry about me, emo."

Ienzo nodded, then looked back at the battle.

"Tell Celas and the others that Lacuna's power is based on her being empty." He explained quickly. "If she is filled with something, light, darkness, anything, her powers will wane."

Elenar eyed the Cloaked Schemer.

"How do you know that?" She demanded.

"No time, go. And bring Lacuna back alive."

With that, Ienzo stepped through the portal. Elenar growled then took off for the dome. She had the sense to slow down when she reached it, which turned out well since she couldn't get in.

"Celas!" She yelled. "Fill her up with darkness or whatever! Ienzo said that would hurt her!"

 

Even slowly moved closer to where Master Ansem lay but jumped back when Luna came through.

"What's going on?" The Chilly Academic asked.

"Lacuna is proving difficult." Ienzo answered as he stepped through the portal. "We will need the contingency plan you must be working on."

Even opened his mouth a few times, then nodded. He turned back and started on his programming again.

"That should do it, Thomas." He called out through the PA system.

Ienzo kept an eye on Even before he knelt down to tend to Ansem. He wasn't sure how the others were going to react to Master Ansem's return. If he survived.

"Do you have enough mana for more healing?" Ienzo asked Luna as he turned Ansem over.

Zion heard the way to defeat Luna. She sighed, Keyblades ready.

"Celas! Together!"

Zion charged, her Dawnguard shield deflecting the void orb. Xion stayed behind Zion, knowing full well it was safer there.

Her Keyblades ready, Zion began to fill each blade with some measure of power. They each glowed brightly, filling with light.

"Tremble before Dawn."

It was faint, but Celas managed to hear Elenar's advice while dodging Lacuna's attack."Celas! Together!""Tremble before Dawn."Celas nodded as she raised her Keyblade to the sky once again, this time the Keyblade began to emit a pulse and glow with a dark light."Succumb to Darkness!"A beam of darkness shot from the Keyblade into the sky and then down towards the Void Witch.

Seeing the darkness, Zion haltered her reckless charge and in a flash her Keyblades surrounded Lacuna.

They fired beams of light towards the void witch, creati g a grand total of five beams of something that would fill Lacuna up to the brim.

And possibly spell the beginning of a worse fight.

Xion stayed behind Zion, knowing full well it was safer there.Her Keyblades ready, Zion began to fill each blade with some measure of power. They each glowed brightly, filling with light."Tremble before Dawn."

 

It was faint, but Celas managed to hear Elenar's advice while dodging Lacuna's attack."Celas! Together!""Tremble before Dawn."Celas nodded as she raised her Keyblade to the sky once again, this time the Keyblade began to emit a pulse and glow with a dark light."Succumb to Darkness!"A beam of darkness shot from the Keyblade into the sky and then down towards the Void Witch.

Aww Cr- Cody's train of thought came to a crashing halt as Lacuna's blades screamed towards him. He dove off to his right, narrowly avoiding the deadly attack as he scrambled back onto his feet. Hearing both Zion and Cela's coordinated attack, he regretted putting away his arrow-rifle as he stayed put; running up to the witch to pull a fast one was a bad idea at this point...

 

Luna nodded to Ienzo as she cleared the portal. "I got plenty left" she replied, "Just... tell me what I should be doing differently."

Master Thomas looks on at the device with a stern look on his face. He is wondering how things are back in his reality. Tyler is thinking about it, too, with his arms folded. Master Thomas then thinks to himself mentally with the following words. "Just what has happened in my absence?" Thought Master Thomas, mentally thinking of something in his head,

Lacuna was hit by all the beams of Light and Darkness. She stumbled and fell to a knee, her void blades flickering. She stared at her blades with an odd intense look. She then looked up, her remaining eye darting around as she looked to be making calculations. Tightening her fists to stop her blades flickering, she stood up and started to slowly push her way towards Zion.

"Won't. Stop. Me!" The Void Witch screamed.

She lashed out with beams of Void power to hit Zion and Celas but was less then she thought it would.

"Get in there and bash her!" Elenar yelled through the barrier to Cody.

 

"First we need to find where the majority of the damage is." Ienzo explained as he moved Ansem around. "Then we can pour power directly where it needs to be rather then running around his body randomly."

Getting Ansem on his stomach, Ienzo pulled back the dark coat's hood and Ansem's own hair to reveal the old man's neck. Ienzo's face screwed up his face in puzzlement as he found no damage from Lacuna's attack.

"How much energy have you pumped into him?" He asked Luna.

Zion was thrown back, but gritted her teeth. Wings swelling, she powered forwards, Keyblades forming the doubled ended versions Forward Unto Dawn and Daybreak's Bell. She felt warm blood across her chest, and realized her armor had fallen. Diagonally from shoulder to hip she was wounded.

"THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHIRT!" She screamed, dropkicking Lacuna's face. "SALVATION RAID!"

 

Both Keyblades flew towards Lacuna, ready to unleash the powerful holy magic ability Salvation.

Master Thomas looks over in Ienzo's direction and looks right at Ansem. He turns around to face Ienzo holding Ansem with a stern look on his face. He folds his arms as he looks on at Ansem, closely examining his condition. He then speaks to Ienzo by saying. ""He's unconscious, but he's fine... He just needs a little help and he'll be up as a bird.." Said Master Thomas, talking to Ienzo.

Celas blocked Lacuna's attack and made a back flip to put more distance between her and the Void Witch."You still don't get it do you? You only have two choices. Either you come with us, harmed or not is not important, or you fall by our hands"Aura waved her Keyblade, leaving dark orbs floating around her."You cannot win against us. Now stop being so stubborn and give up!The black orbs then began to fly towards the Witch, surrounding and floating around her. The orbs then glowed faintly and shot energy beams at Lacuna.

Under the helmet, Cody was biting his lips.

"Get in there and bash her!" He heard Elenar yell.

 

He nodded in acknowledgement, hoping her screaming hasn't given his position away. Thanks to his years of stealth training, his footsteps were barely audible as he ran towards the Witch from behind with his keyblade at the ready. Making damn sure that the bladed end of the keyblade was facing him rather than the witch, he swung his weapon with the intent of blunt force trauma, satisfying the objective of knocking her out without hurting her any more than needed...

 

As Ansem's face was revealed, Luna stared in awe. "I did enough to stabilize him, like Cody said." She softly replied to Ienzo. "He wasn't going to make it if I put off the healing until now. I felt it.... I did what I thought was necessary to make sure he would be ok."
